Oh my gosh, love this place. These old diners are just so cool. Love diner food, especially the shakes. We still do meatloaf sandwiches. They are the best. Wow, that potato salad looks so good.Really like that blue and silver decor. Perfect color combo. What a great video today. I just loved it.

Such a great iconic place. For people like me who have have lived through the ‘40’s and ‘50’s, this is awesome. They even put kidney beans in their chili. Meatloaf looked good too. I would have had the liver and onions. Thanks for sharing.

Hi John and Bobbie. I love those old fashioned retro diners. They are super clean, the food is always homemade and made from scratch, and the service is exceptional. The decor in this type of diner always brings me back to 50's and 60's when I was much younger. Loved your menu choices, YUM! ❤

What a great place! I love the 50’s and anything retro! Meat loaf is one of my favorite foods and I would have ordered it with mashed potatoes and gravy. The hot fudge sundae looked mouthwatering!
When you played the jukebox I remembered that the first LP I bought as a teenager was Johnny Cash “Ring of Fire”!

Really reasonable prices for this day and age. Ty for saying what was in the potato salad, that's always what I want to know because I will skip it when I go now (but I like mine with dill and onion) I would also order a dinner instead of a sandwich. Meatloaf sandwiches should be ate at 3 am lol.

We love Mel’s! When we were there in November we stopped there for dessert after a show at The Comedy Barn since they were one of the few places open after 9pm. That hot fudge cake and cobbler hit the spot! We’ve also eaten supper there too, those burgers are so good!

Yum!! I always get the chicken & dumplings. And the pineapple milkshake. I'm a creature of habit but after seeing what Y'all got, I'm going to try something else next time. I did have the taco salad before to & its huge!!😂 And very good. It's a fun & tasty place to eat.

It all looks delicious, I'd definitely go or the meatloaf sandwich. I grew up taking leftover meatloaf sandwiches in my lunchbox, we loved it and couldn't wait to dig in at lunchtime, one of my friends always begged for half, so my mom started packing a sandwich for her too. really cool place guys!! I was born in the 50s so I remember all that decor. food looked pretty good kinda expensive but isn't every place nowadays??? I remember when burgers were 50 cents!!! and cokes were a dime lol. love the jukebox I remember playing those all the time in the taverns in my 20s lol. tellin off on myself. Hi John and Bobbie. I love diners and I remember travelling by car in the 70’s and 80’s across the border down to Massachusetts to visit family and stopping at some diners on our way. Unfortunately they no longer have those diners and replaced them with other places to eat. You guys are so lucky to have diners in your area. Both your meals looked so delicious. It is so nostalgic to eat in a diviner and I miss it❤️

Love how people lived in the '50's!!! MEL'S DINER! Good Homeade food. Delicious. Jukeboxes, abd the FOOD! I love the meatloaf sandwich Bobbie! Made Mom and Dad's meatloaf! We made different recipes plus the sandwiches. Just so good lasted a good wk! Potato salad, . John loved the Buddy Holly chili burger of course the fries w/ ranch. Plus the sundae wonderful. The decor was really nice. The ceiling really caught my eye. All the pictures on the wall. Would love a souvenir the shirt that puts the '57 Bel Air front and center with the pink and blue. A thermos cup!!!

We were in Pigeon Forge 2 weeks ago. Our Hotel was just behind the one across the street. We tried Mel's for dinner one evening and liked it so much we went back the next evening. We had the liver and onions our first night and sandwiches and the famous banana split the next. The service and food was the best we had in a long time. Didn't see your video until a few days ago. One of our favorite places to eat for sure.

That meatloaf looked great, I also would have been able to make two sandwiches. Childhood memories for me as well eating leftover meatloaf sandwiches. We just put mustard on it. And the meatloaf had to be cold.

That theme looks great for the diner, there's one in Novi Michigan with a 50s theme just like that, it's called the grand diner, told my mom that 50s theme looks better in a diner or a theater room.

Thanks for the video! My dad and I used to go to Mel's Diner in Miami! They were a staple and they were so much fun to go to! Brings back some nice memories. I always had chicken salad sandwiches or a burger. hehehe You had some great music choices. Nice choice to add Black Velvet! Love Alannah and her tribute to The King! The portions were great, as were the prices. I probably would have gotten that meat loaf (they kind of burnt the toast though haha)! I can never resist it. I might have paid extra for a second side because I can never resist mac & cheese anywhere also. I agree - Bobbi, there is no way you're getting that huge portion in your mouth. I would never be able to either!

If you get back to pa again up in honeybrook pa about a mile down the road from September farms is a diner called whimpy and Dee's diner its a 1950s diner
