Wow! I am VERY impressed!!! I couldn't believe this was a high school production! Absolutely amazing! You certainly have VERY talented people attending that school!
Sweet mother. This is incredible--definitely the best I've ever seen. My school is doing this for their production this year and if it can be half as good as this then we'll be lucky.
That was really incredible. My school is doing Beauty and the Beast this year, and I'm not sure we can compare to that. You've got some real talent there. WOW
WOW!! This was awesome! When the actors are having fun the audience has fun! It is a huge production and you all pulled it off with great flair. The set, costumes and production was outstanding and the vocals as well. Bravo!!
I saw this last year and I was blown away. For a high school production this was incredible. The amazing thing is how they get so many students involved in the school. That is the true greatness of a dramatic/musical production in an educational setting. It's nice that a school can focus on something more than the state championship. BTW, what's the deal with the seussical people this year? It was amazing and why can't students be allowed to share and celebrate THEIR achievement.
OMG this is the best Hish School performence i've seen yet. i love how the stage goes around the pit. my only problem was that Lumiere didn't have the heavy french accent like he was supposed to.
this was really good! you have some amazing dancers and a huge cast! i'm doing beauty and the beast right now and i wish we had that many people. great job!
holy crud! that's the largest cast i've ever seen in a high school production! We're doing this as well, but we are a private school, so we don't have many people in the cast. (our cast helps build the stage etc.) hopefully i can get a video in
Our stage crew built the stage and it was paid for by Sandy City who also used the set. The only reason we pulled a show like this off was the countless numbers of hours put in by the directors, students, and most of all parents. All the costumes were created and designed by parents. Also, some have commented on the Beast's voice - he had bronchitis the week of the show so cut him some slack. I took roll for the cast and I will tell you, there are a ton of them! Best experience of my life! :D
Ok, wow! 1. my college is doing this show next semester! Only hope were this good. 2. what was your budget? Costumes, sets, lights everything was there. 3. Amazing choreography really impressed for a high school. 4. Amazing theatre you have! That built in orchestra pit! Did you put an addition on to your theatre for the show or is that really what it looks like? Finally, fantastic job you all should be proud of yourselfs
Thanks everyone for the comments, critical or not! I was Potts in this production, and yes, I just realized I do sound a bit like Lil from Rugrats! haha! :) This is Hillcrest High School in Utah, we are not a specific performing arts high school, we are a regular public educational school, but we have amazing directors therewhich is why our musicals are so big. Keep the comments coming! I appreciate it!
o my... how on earth can a HIGH school do something like this? my high school stage is nothing but a normal theatre high school stage.. you guys must have had a TON of money and must be a HUGE high school
Thank you to all who have commented. I played Mrs. Potts in this production. I appreciate everyone's comments. The choreography looks like Broadways because we had a director who went and saw it over the summer, and he just wrote and wrote and wrote, then he came back and taught us all he could remember. I will give you that the vocals for the cast are rough, we sometimes had to put some "tone deaf" people on mic, but hey, it is high school, what can you do? -No offense to anyone!- :)
I've been seeing the clips you've posted and it does look amazing. Any chance of posting the final scenes from the play, especially the transformation scene?
Hillcrest High in UT? Just wondering, cause Hillcrest is the name of my school and we did Beauty and the Beast around the same time, so I wasn't sure if this video is of our production or not. Either way, it's incredible!
You guys are SO lucky! My high school's theatre troupe could NEVER get this kind of money for our shows! BTW, great cast choices! It's kinda hard to hear them over the orchestra, but what can be heard sounds great! Never seen that many guys try out for our shows, either; are you guys a specialized school for theatre?
wow i'm impressed, the set was amazing!! is you're school a performing arts special school or something?? coz mine would never be able to pull something like that off!! XD
wow! this is so much better than my school's performence of beauty and the best., in our be our guest and human agian, no one knos what they're doing becuz they don't practice... it's kinda sad really.... not looking to show night O.o
There is no possible way you can watch this production and rightfully accuse it of having no emotion! You've got to be both blind and deaf! And as for the choreography, you try directing an ensemble cast of 250 teenagers! Im my opinion, they did an amazing job with what they had. You need to recognize!
Overall, I think this was quite a good production - the vocals were great (especially Bells and Mrs. Potts) And I really liked the set - very original! My only complaint was that the Beast seemed to be lacking at some parts - he tried the harsh, beastly voice too much and should have concentrated more on his acting. Overall though, a great production!
Uhm, pardon me, but why on EARTH would you make a Disney movie set "sexy?" And, also, do not bash someone who obviously put a lot of time and effort into this show. Another thing to think about, little one, is that each school has different monetary restraints for shows. For example, my school is doing BatB, and we have about $600 to spend. So do not compare schools.
By far the best high school production of beauty and the beast I've seen! And Lumiere is amazing! Great work!
wow, that was inredible! With so many performers there muct be a TON of competition at that school!
Bravo!!
Increible!!! Estoy muy impresionada!!! This is amazing!!! From Gran Canaria, Spain.
this is freakin incredible! the vocals, acting, dancing....EVERYTHING!!! GREAT JOB!!!! :D
Fabulous for a High School Production. Wonderful singing!
AAhhh, my favorite Disney song and from my High school too. wow.
Great show, talent and performance. I can say that it was Amazing!

I didn't think it was possible to be better than a Broadway show! But you almost pulled it off! Great job!
OMG this is the best Hish School performence i've seen yet. i love how the stage goes around the pit. my only problem was that Lumiere didn't have the heavy french accent like he was supposed to.
this was really good! you have some amazing dancers and a huge cast! i'm doing beauty and the beast right now and i wish we had that many people. great job!
One of the best babettes i have seen!
Oh my God!!!! It's amazing!!!!
i love this video! ha ha. i didn't go to hillcrest last year...but this year i did! ha ha. i was in seussical and i loved it! ha ha.
This is so freaking good!!! oh my GOD, trying out for Lumiere, and probably one of the best non-professional lumiere's i've seen
Beautiful Costumes!!!
This is a HIGH school-oh my damn that was AWSOME! our school is in the process of choosing the cast, but i a mso excited, GREAT job btw
this is pretty awesome !!!
our school just finished, and you guys did a great job too !
wow - loved the tango!
that is so cool to see! haha my school just did this and we had the exact same costumes! haha thats nuts! :) this was so cool to watch, thank you!
that was awesome!!!
holy crud! that's the largest cast i've ever seen in a high school production! We're doing this as well, but we are a private school, so we don't have many people in the cast. (our cast helps build the stage etc.) hopefully i can get a video in
oh my goodness I am sooo MAD they couldn't do a DVD this year...grrr
I thought this was a professional theater company! Amazing!
babbett is a great dancer!!!! so are all the napkins! where did you find so much talent in ONE high school???
You should have seen it when my brother did it at my school! He stole the show!!
Our stage crew built the stage and it was paid for by Sandy City who also used the set. wow! that's nice. Ya' had sort of a radio city / zigfeld thing going.
Thanks everyone for the comments, critical or not! @koolgpw actually Hillcrest is just a regular public high school in Utah...
They are like wayyyy better than paid actors/actresses on broadway who play beauty and the beast x3
o my... how on earth can a HIGH school do something like this? my high school stage is nothing but a normal theatre high school stage.. you guys must have had a TON of money and must be a HUGE high school
Superb! Highschool? I could see college
its so hard to bleieve that this is a high school. very impressive
Just a little FYI, the actor playing Lumiere is now acually a professional musical actor.
This is a high school???!!!! This is something that would be on broadway!
Thank you to all who have commented. I played Mrs. Potts in this production. I appreciate everyone's comments. LyricaLife14 Yes, it was the Midvale, Utah Hillcrest production.
Ross667 Awesome! Super proud of this school :)
We are just that awesome. That's all I'm going to say.
This was High School i know because i was in the musical. Hillcrest High!
wow i'm impressed,
the set was amazing!!
is you're school a performing arts special school or something??
coz mine would never be able to pull something like that off!! XD
Seussical was fantastic this year. What is the deal with all the lawyer control issues? Isn't it about the theatre and the arts anymore?
It's Cogsworth saying: "No no no! Not the kickline!!"
It's similar to the Broadway choreography, that may be what 92alexs is referring to...!
Whoa. Props to the pit orchestra. I can't imagine that this is a public school. Not with that many good singers, dancers and musicians.
But this is a great production, by the way!
wow! this is so much better than my school's performence of beauty and the best., in our be our guest and human agian, no one knos what they're doing becuz they don't practice... it's kinda sad really.... not looking to show night O.o
That is a whole lot of silverware!!!
There is no possible way you can watch this production and rightfully accuse it of having no emotion! You've got to be both blind and deaf! And as for the choreography, you try directing an ensemble cast of 250 teenagers! Im my opinion, they did an amazing job with what they had. You need to recognize!
ps. the pit band is AWESOME.. the pit area is really cool :)
I wish my high school did this...mine was too cheap for a stage
how big was your cast this looks like a huge cast
He's Andy :)
well, lets see a video of this "sexy" set and your "Funny" lumiere. I'm interested.
this is like highschool broadway:)
what does the male voice say at 6:35-6:37???
Who was lumiere?
Overall, I think this was quite a good production - the vocals were great (especially Bells and Mrs. Potts) And I really liked the set - very original! really? which video?
haha I saw the same chorgraphy in a diffrent video, you think you could be a little more orginal!
type in this
"Ameteur" production of Disney's B&tB
ha ha i seriously doubt it with the set they have. Its hard to consider this a high school show.
Uhm, pardon me, but why on EARTH would you make a Disney movie set "sexy?" And, also, do not bash someone who obviously put a lot of time and effort into this show.

wow im doing the play, but probably not as good as yours
it was ok......it was nothing compared to Germantown high School's Play
geez, i think you should brag a little bit more....
