Hi Amy. Having a beautiful flowering Hibiscus can make you feel like you're living in the tropics. Having said that, because we live in the sub-tropics we can grow them outdoors. We have a gorgeous orange one in a large pot and because it constantly flowers we didn't want to prune it and of course it became leggy. A hard prune did it the world of good and it's constantly in flower again. We love it and can't stop admiring the lovely flowers. Thanks for sharing your Hibiscus, you have to love it, with those beautiful red blooms.

Hello hello! Indeed it can and does, so wonderful indoors. Honestly after how big I’ve seen this get it would be so much easier for it to be outside, but wouldn’t last a week in Ireland I would say 😂 Thank you as always for the support and for watching 🌱

A hibiscus was my first ever plant, when I was in school and I knew nothing about plants. It had cute pink flowers, I just asked my parents to buy and put it in my room. It was happy there, in a bright location, but a bit far away from the window. its flowers always made my day, but I remember being worried because they were falling off too soon! As you say, 24 hours. After a few weeks/months of the same, I finally understood that's what hibiscus does :)
It lived happily ever after, I have long moved from that house, but my mom still takes care of it and calls it my plant 💝

What a beautiful plant story 🥰 Honestly love for stories like this. Plants can have such an impact even from a young age, congrats to you and your parents for being able to care for it so successfully!! ❤️✨

I have that hibiscus. I am trying to keep her in the same pot. I pruned the roots in February. I have had success rooting the cutting in both water and soil. It is a lovely plant. I am going to prune the branches again in a few days.
