Hi. I have a couple of questions for you: Can you drive with the pop-up camper deployed and raised for use? I heard no. Also, do you have to pack everything that is in your camper? Is it below in the casing or is it in your car? (I ask because you have a microwave)
Hello Nicole, Great questions. No you can not drive with the camper popped. We've move ours around our property before popped. As for all our stuff, some goes in the truck like our cooler and some food while traveling. The microwave when we have an electric hook up we just carry that in our pop up isle then pack soft items around it. We always take the glass and wrap it in a hand towel. Other wise a lot of the other items we just keep in the various storages spots. We only put the things we need to take in or out with the roof down in the isle way. We also have a large front compartment which we put things that are OK if they get wet. Our front storge box has seen better days. Hope to replace that in the near future. Happy Camping Mark (& Teresa)
Hey Cheryl, Good question! So Coleman Utah only has a built-in outside shower with hot water. Most of the campers nowadays do have both inside and outside. We actually use a small USB shower when we camp off grid outside. We just heat up the water on the stove. A dedicated video is coming. Which we shot on our last trip. ~Mark
@cheryl malcolm That's so cool. I hope you found some with our tour. We have more videos coming. Check out our playlist if you haven't already. I have to say doing the cooler was a nice improvement.
I am completely off grid myself have been for well over 20 years I built my own system one piece at a time the very first panel I bought cost $1,000 the very last panel I bought cost only $200 and it's three times the power of the very first one I bought prices have changed materials have gotten good as well as cheap I can only assume the system you have is a on-grid system which is completely different from the off-grid system a small system can be adapted to a travel trailer or a camp trailer I'm only producing 60 amps with gel cell batteries charge controllers are designed to accommodate a variety of different kinds of deep cycle batteries lead acid gel cell nickel cadmium and lithium-ion a selector switch on the controller let's meet choose the kind of battery I wish to charge I'm also using a vertical axis wind turbine generator completely different from your more common wind turbine generators it does not look like a airplane it looks more like a round ball on a pole 4000 w 12 volt wind turbine vertical axis unit
Robert, yes it is amazing how affordable everything had become. We love to watch Will Prowse DIY Solar Power on YT. One of his latest builds for off grid 48 volt $20,000 said could easily be paid back with in 4-9 years based on what region and cost per kilo watt hour. I have always liked the idea of a wind turbine and water. So many environmental options. Love to learn and plan to build a couple simple systems of our out buildings. Price for a SOK lithium battery seems like a no brainer. Just gets better and better and cheaper and cheaper. What part of the country are you in to get good wind power? What's your solar system 48 volt, 24 volt?
I have an idea that I would like to share but you must remember it is strictly an idea merely something to think about having electricity out in the middle of nowhere where there is no utility more than enough electricity to run a microwave oven induction wave cooktop automatic drip coffee maker merely a thought to ponder Solar panels. Charge controller for solar panels and deep cycle batteries like I said merely a thought to ponder on and that's it
Hello Robert, Yes great suggestion. We actually have a very robust solar set up with 2367 watts power and 900 watts of solar panels.( see our other video. th-cam.com/video/_X_7gu5rwG4/w-d-xo.html ) No problem running the microwave. Just one less thing to carry when camping remote for a week. Mark ( & Teresa)
You mentioned an AC hack/upgrade for more efficiency. What did you do? Did you post a video about that?
Yes, we still have to do that AC video. I just need to find our mini SD card. LOL There so tiny it's not hard to miss place them. But I do think I found it. Stay tuned and subscribe. I'll look for it a d try to put that up in next couple videos. Thank you for the reminder.

Happy Camping!
@@OutOfOfficeCamping did that but it still don't look good in my champer at all plases me make it look big thank u❤️😊
I have an idea that I would like to share but you must remember it is strictly an idea merely something to think about having electricity out in the middle of nowhere where there is no utility more than enough electricity to run a microwave oven induction wave cooktop automatic drip coffee maker merely a thought to ponder
Solar panels.
