Every morning when I discover that I woke up is always a good morning for me.. Beats the hell out of the alternative.. You should try and eat the seeds of the papaya.. A slight peppery taste but nice,, Plus they are healthy for you.. Research the minerals in the seeds.. I eat a lot of seeds from various fruits... No watermelons growing inside me yet like my mum told me would happen.. Olive,, avocado and mango seeds are a bit of a problem... lol
I know how you feel about being embarrassed, me too, being from the USA. And boy are you right about life in the province. I am in COMVAL province and I have the best of both worlds. I am in Poblacion Compostela with a population of 99,000 but I also enjoy all of the benefits of province life as well. Oh, and I am a new subscriber.

Hi Tim, yes, if you live in the Province you can live well on that kind of money. The cost of living is much lower than the USA or Europe…… but you have to adapt to a Filipino lifestyle and drop some of the western habits. I love it here and enjoy life on that kind of income. How can one get used to continuously and obnoxiously noisy roosters? I remember my trip to Manila and Palawan, staying at hotels and not being able to sleep at all, these damned birds will not ever stop, not even a minute, all the fucking night long. Are they raised for coq fights? That is animal abuse and inhuman treatment, that .should be illegal, Between the full blast full volume call for prayer from minarets in Muslim countries and the roosters in the Philippines I am not sure which is worse. In both cases however, they are a clear violation of environmental tranquility. Period.
