All of these crooks should at least be fined an amount equal to the cost of fuel used in their apprehension in addition to any incarceration or probation. Make them pay.

He has probably watched the old Predator movie ... but well in real it doesn't work. you can't mask your body heat with mud and water lol. Actually it works for very short period of time, but it has to be very wet and thick mud all over you.

Whenever we'd hear a police helicopter my mom would worry that the fugitive would hide under our horses to disguise their thermal silhouette. We'd laugh. Under The Flying Boxcar? Or her maniacal stud colt of a son? God help these hypothetical crooks!. Our horses weren't the sleepy kind.

Amazing how this thermal imaging works to detect a body even in dense bush. I wonder if different types of living or even dead bodies emit a specific amount of heat that makes it possible to work out what the body is? And is such equipment also capable of picking up varying degrees of heat that different plants might emit. This could be useful for spotting illegal crops of whatever bring grown in remote areas....
Cannabis won't grow outside in the UK very well, I don't think plants emit heat, and they can detect cannabis grows by looking for the heat from the lamps.
Different plants emit specific colors in specific wave lengths, so yes using a type of imaging technology they can spot certain crops of plants.

That dark patch was likely just the area of the roof he warmed while laying there.
WELL AT 1000FT YOU ARE SAFE FROM THE CRIMINALS BUT FLYING OVER A BUILT UP AREA IS DANGEROUS THESE COPS ARE BRAVE TO FLY IN A BUILT UP AREA EVERY DAY.
If they would have 30 mm cannon, so much fuel, time and costs would be saved.

More fuel equals more weight equals not keeping up in high speed chases plus not weight equals more fuel consumption so it's a catch 22 whichever way you look at it to be fair

What is the cost of this unit per day, equip/personnel? Is it justifiable? Can the people afford it? Just wondering, because I really like it. But, if a luxury? not so sure.
