Thank you so much for sharing your experience, you’re very brave and helped me and probably a lot of others going through similar situations. I also have a chronic illness and a history of heart problems. I had heart surgery 3 yrs ago and I’m not getting better. I’ve been to 3 or 4 different cardiologist’s and haven’t found one that listens to me. They’ve done a test here and there but that’s it….there are other tests available but they refuse to do them because the tests that were done came back normal. But, just like you said, I know my body and I know that something is wrong. I haven’t been able to work or do much of anything and the majority of people treat me like I’m just too lazy to work and enjoy sitting around. I was a hard working, very active person until I got sick and even then I kept going until I pretty much collapsed. I would much rather work than deal with this. Top that off with the never ending gaslighting from doctors and other medical staff and I’m starting to feel like I’m losing my mind! I hope that you get better soon. What an absolutely horrible experience you had. It’s so traumatic and I understand that sometimes you just have to laugh about it to stay sane. I wish we had a better health system, I feel like they need to be way more compassionate to the patients and look at it from their perspective and how humiliating it is to have people probing you all over. This constant gaslighting is making it harder and harder to trust the doctors. A part of me has shut down from all of the medical trauma, making it harder and harder to go to doctor appointments. Hope you are doing better. I understand exactly what you went through. It is so discouraging and tramatizing but it is necessary to push hard to get proper medical care these days.
I am a new subscriber and can relate to you SO MUCH!! I have fibro, Hashimoto's, Sjogrens, Henoch-Schönlein, Celiacs (I've had Hashitoxicosis and Hashimoto's Encephalopathy w/gran mal seizures, sepsis) and so much more. I can relate to your experience as I've been hospitalized numerous times. Sending prayers and strength your way, it's not an easy way of life. ❤
My infusion are iron and a heart medication 2022 I had a lot but not enough for a port. Now I get them more spaced out but them using that good vein often caused too much scar tissue. Hope that helps it makes more sense. ☺️
