Have you heard of TRUAX? 🤔 Man, this version is bizarre, and it was created to be exactly the opposite of the Lorax, against everything he believes in! I'll tell you all about it here: th-cam.com/video/HyLM3VvTC98/w-d-xo.html
Here's a quick fact about the Once-ler from the 1972 Lorax movie: The reason for the Once-ler not having a face in the book or 1972 cartoon was, due to the fact that Dr. Seuss wanted to show that anyone could and/or could've been the Once-ler, as well as become him.
They made him human to show that we are destroying the planet and there is no fake creature making a fake problem, the cause is real and the problem is too
@@matyaskassay4346actually illumination had a good reason for it. They said that the second you make the Once-ler a monster, it makes you think, “Yeah, but that couldn’t be me.” Giving the Once-ler a face makes it so we realize that if we don’t care about the environment, we could become the once-ler. The thing is, Illumination missed the point of their own movie.
@@ainkastewart4378 not giving the onceler a face doesn't make him a monster. In the movie he was portrayed as a nice person who became the way he was because of his toxic family background and other unfortunate circumstances. Thus, he feels more like a tragic character, a victim of his bad circumstances, rather than a villain who should serve as a deterrent example of how not to act.
I like the Lorax movie, the animation is very good But the Lorax original story by Dr Seuss always had a feeling of dread by the end of the book. “Unless someone like you care a whole lot, nothing is going to get any better…it’s not.”
Same. The ending of the movie though, I like how they could’ve done a ThneedVille epilogue but they did not…it ended with the Onceler and the Lorax. ❤️.
Unfortunately for Dr. Seuss, Illumination completely bastardized the message of the original book by labeling the Once-Ler as a loner who is misunderstood and his family's greed and influence are to blame while O-Hare is labeled as the true villain. O-Hare took advantage of a business opportunity that was so stupid yet worked so well and is providing free air for everyone in his artificial utopia.
