I'm so close! After almost 2 days, this is the farthest I've gotten lol- I downloaded the 2019.4.31 version of unity, but after unzipping the file in the VSeeFace link, it took me to a bunch of empty folders :( Ive attempted to try from other links, but end up with the same result. I am not tech savvy at all, and you made it very very easy to follow along, so thank you for helping me get this far!
Hey! Just to confirm, you're talking about the VSeeFace SDK part of the video, correct? Try going to this link and download the .unitypackage file. You don't want to unzip it - that's what gets selected from the menu and installed directly into Unity! github.com/emilianavt/VSeeFaceSDK/releases
@@wyspering_vt THANK YOUUU~ it worked! I was able to follow your video step by step! I have some friends who are struggling too, i'll be sure to send them to your channel :3
@@grimreefer4646 I'm so glad I could help! I would love to see the results of your hard work :3 If you're on twitter, by all means @ me if you post pics! twitter.com/wysperwind
@@wyspering_vt it worked at first- but now when I try to upload my avatar into unity(2019.4.31) it gives me an error, and the error message is different every attempt too lol When I make a twitter, I'll definitely thank you on there too :>
@@grimreefer4646 Hey! Without being able to see the errors, I can’t really try to help you fix it but if you get that Twitter feel free to DM me or snag my discord link from my about section and we can sync up from there~
i dont know if you care, but UniVRM updated again. it mentions this when someone uses the link you put in your description so people are aware. I thought id let you know if you wanted to update that link
So, I just tried to follow the tutorial, and I got error after error when importing the packages, I am on 2019.4.31f1, followed the order and everything. The packages didn't set up any menus like yours, so I don't know how to continue ;-;
Heya! Which package is giving you the trouble and not showing? Is it the first one with UniVRM? Are you using the same UniVRM version that I have here? There have been updates to it since I made this tutorial and I haven't updated to the newest versions yet so I'm not entirely sure how they work or if they have any trouble.
@@AriaCallisto I suggest trying a new project and if UniVRM is the first one you're installing, trying with this version: github.com/vrm-c/UniVRM/releases/tag/v0.97.0 It's possible if you're using different versions than I am that they will only be compatible with certain versions of Unity... which are also only compatible with certain exports for VSeeFace, VNyan, etc.
Hi! Try using this exact version: github.com/vrm-c/UniVRM/releases/tag/v0.97.0 - that's the one I use in my video. Note, I do not use it with the 1.0 vrm exports; I don't know if it works with those or not!
@@Witiko_vt Hi! The version I use in the video still works although I have upgraded to a newer version since making it. The newer versions have more features and work better but that one still does the job for most things 😊
You skipped over how to download the shitty Univrm because there is so much stuff like numbers, codes and files on github that I don't even know which one I am supposed to download. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE SHOW THIS PART!?!? Is it some big secret or something!? It's either no one tells what packages we need for unityvrm or the videos are so out dated that it doesn't match what's on the current site! This is so unfair.
i agree, this is frustrating. I spent more time than I will admit to trying to find the download link. I ended up having to google the filename from her list of files at 3:45
Thanks for the feedback! I've updated the download link to point directly to the list of releases where you can download the newest one or a previous version. The one I'm using is UniVRM-.097.0_ac30.unitypackage, and you can find that one explicitly here if you run into any compatibility issues: github.com/vrm-c/UniVRM/releases/tag/v0.97.0

What do I do if some of the packages didn't create their tool bar section, like bone weight transfer didn't create tools
I would check to see if it’s a different version than the one I linked! Sometimes they move things to new locations
ttas pretty helpful. however, hana tool is in its version 4 build and there is no transparent way to get the previous version used in this.
It's possible they're not supporting the previous versions. I'll test it and make a note in the description of that matters :)

Hi Trine! I don’t use VR Chat a bunch so I haven’t done that step (yet! It could happen!). Best of luck~
