About 4 years ago we decided to work remotely. Carefully define your requirements, keep your equipment updated, purchase the best, redundancy is key. Plan for issues. As part of the decision to work remotely, remember you are selling a service, the product must be delivered on time; 100% quality, 100% on time delivery. After 4 years I still have absolutely no idea how this stuff works but Mobil Internet are experts, just listen to their advice.

I understand networks and how LTE works, so something 101 like this isn't something super useful for me, but your information has helped me find the best deals (had never heard of Calyx before, for example, before you guys made a video talking about it) and great solutions from people with boots on the ground. Hi Chris and Cherie! Chris held up a router during the video while explaining different options. If my employer requires a hard wired connection to operator data bases with, is that something that would work? I just wanna know if it’s at all possible? Due to WiFi’s unreliability for databases that require constant connection; they require you to be hooked up to the modem at all times. How can I make this happen? I just watched another of your videos that was a little older and I think that answer my question. There is a dual modem router connection that you set up with the four or five antennas for satellite I think that may work; I’m gonna continue to watch the video. You guys are awesome!

I have a 5G Inseego hotspot and I live in a remote place. And I was wondering if my network name does show on my computer will I have to move a spot in my home so I can get a signal

I don't want to pay year round for a hotspot when I only use my RV 30 days/year. Is there a way to use my cell phone as a tethered hotspot with an external MIMO antenna so I can get reception inside the "iron tent". I really don't want to use a booster after watching many of your videos so could you please say if what I want to do is possible? If you say yes, I'll sign up for membership to find out how this can be done.
Cell phones do not have antenna ports so can't support external MIMO antennas, which is why many prefer hotspots or routers. We do have a guide for part-time connectivity as well as a video about it here:

I live about a hr away from city , my phone gets internet , but internet company's say no signal out here .
Some times we take a month to go and travel 2 or 3 or 4 x a year but work remotely .
People call I fill out quick form and send there order 24 /7 online I can work any time I plan on at least 8 maybe 10 hrs inbound . They only require I have high speed internet Plug in to laptop.

Great video. I need VPN for email and cellular for phone/text along with my daughter that needs internet for distance learning. Will be staying on west coast beach areas and some mountain areas in summer. Thinking netgear mimo plus weBoost might be best. I have Verizon and wife and daughter have T-Mobile. Is this a good start? I will be doing a few feet runs while I am on vacation.

Hi there, thanks very much for your informative video. My employer uses Cisco VPN which usually blocks all other VPNs. Since a portable hotspot is essentially a private network as well, would they be compatible with Cisco ? Thanks
Hotspots do not provide a VPN.

Do you have any tips for people in Australia or know of sites similar to yours that focus on the Australian market? Been working from home for the last 18 months and looking to take it on the road. Australia also suffers from a lot of signal black spots.

Is there a way to setup 2 separate providers and use one as a "fail over"? In the event one loses coverage..... Then it could automatically switch over to your fail over provider?

After all these years my computer knowledge is still worthless, I understand a small fraction of what you said here, so help me out with some basics.
I'm retired and finishing up building my conversion van to travel full-time. I need internet to deal with income and paying bills. Maybe watch Netflix. I do have a TH-cam channel I upload videos on when I've been bike touring or backpacking. My phone is mostly used for GSP and some video recording. I upload all my videos to my computer for editing and then upload to TH-cam.

I have a basic question.... I currently live in a 5th wheel that is stationary....I was using metro pcs $60.00 unlimited plan that gave me 15 GB hotspot a month which is definitely enough to play online but it isn't enough to download or update games.....I only need hotspot nothing more or less can you recommend anything?? What hotspot plan offer's the most GB? Would really be awesome if you helped.

I suggest getting pdanet on your phone and computer. You can hide the tethering from your provider.
Also with pdanet it will show as ethernet when it's really wifi

We already have a full team of 8 of us running things and handling all of that.
Just purchased an Inseego 5G. Discovered it has no antenna ports for cell booster. I have the netgear antenna in my Amazon cart from a recommended link on another rv internet video. Is is worth taking the 5G back and exchanging for a 4G with ports just to have more options? Thanks

is it possibly to do a 8 hr customer service remotely?

So, why has ATT and Verizon taken away unlimited hotspot data plans? Now the only option seems to be 30GB/month. I have no access to fiber optic options where I live. Do they realize some people don't have options like that? What is everyone doing now that needs a mobile hotspot data plan way larger than 30GB/mo. I need help! My kids have to remote school as well and I don't know what other options there are other than a hotspot.

@@MobileInternetResourceCenter But none of the plans are unlimited. As a "whole house internet plan" via a mobile hospot, we use 200-300GB a month easily between 6 people. What are people to do now that only have a mobile hotspot as a solution for their internet resource? Even 100GB plans don't cut it. And who wants to pay $120 plus a month for a data plan when we were paying $30-50/mo? These companies are so greedy. They are definitely no "for" the customer.
There are options.. such as the third party providers. For those that don't want to go that path, they learn to balance their needs vs. lifestyle choices.
