Oh this is so damn cool!!!!! Oroville and Paradise, CA are like, maybe a 45 minute to 1 hour drive from the town in which i lived the first 21 years of my life, minus an ill-fated and poor decision which resulted in a brief 1-year stint in a suburb of Sacramento. Stomping grounds, for sure... my friends and i often ended up in this area on random adventures and other attempts at recreation. Theres a really cool and somewhat lesser known disc golf course near oroville, too... anyhow, this story is just extra neat to me because of proximity. Never had any strange encounters in the area that i can recall which id be tempted to attribute to anything beyond the borders of generally accepted normalcy, with one extremely notable and unequivocably NOT normal exception (a pretty fantastic UFO experience, which if anyone's interested i am more than happy to elaborate upon, just ask), but yeah that just adds a distinct aire of believability to this particular yarn for me. Very cool.
