The Vision is my favorite comic book story of all time. This is also what made me a huge fan of Tom King’s writing (leading me to read Mister Miracle, one of my favorite DC books of all time)
They should have gave him cyborg, green lantern or maybe swamp thing, but handing him over batman, a character whos personality works in the opposite way of kings strengths, was a really bad idea.
I love this series so much. The art and the melancholy tone just hit me right, especially as someone who has trouble expressing and understanding emotion. Highly recommend. Oddly relatable.
I feel that Vision’s connection to Wonder Man in the comics is often over looked since they’re essentially brothers, or even the same person depending how you look at it, and it’s kind of a shame the MCU will never use that story element
Personally, I think it's for the best. While I love Marvel comics, I feel that a lot of the writing is overly complicated for the sake of it. Say what you will about the MCU, but I prefer their simplified approach to their stories and characters. It has helped to streamline the universe and make it easier to understand.
Before actually reading some of Tom King’s work, A majority of my comic reading friends told me that all of King’s work was terrible. So when I first picked up Tom King’s Vision, I surprised how much this story resonated with me. Amazing video Owen

I’m just getting into comics at twenty eight years old, because I became hyper obsessed with MCU stuff and this is one of the first series I’m reading, as I loved everything about Vision/Wanda in the MCU. I am very much enjoying this a ton.
Writing my final on this comic, my thesis is how it applies to the idea of The Other. What an amazing comic and what a tragic ending. But such are tragedies, they teach us a lesson by taking away everything we love.
I had read this comic when Wanda and vision came out in disney plus and I was very sad that only the suburban live and sparky came out. The rest was very beautifully dark. And sad for him to want to live a normal life something that maybe all avengers could have lived but not him

That's because it's more used to show Visions Humanity and wanting a family while also being a superhero. the TV version it's more showing how Wanda want to live in a fantasy world where vision is sort of alive even though he's dead and shows her going insane if someone tries to ruin it.

She killed the Grim Reaper, killed the teenage boy, nearly killed the father, and then killed the dog just because she felt frustrated, but where is her comeuppance? When is she going to pay the price for her murders? How did Vision not conclude that their son's death is payment for all the murders she committed and therefore completely justified? She was the villain of the entire storyline and then she got to take the coward's way out instead of facing the consequences. Everything that went wrong in the story is directly her fault.

You sound like the neighbors of the visions that are people extremely poor in compression and cannot understant things that are beyond from theirs perspective. I think, his writing fits Morally Ambiguous character like Vision, mister miracle. Both were his great work. I remember more Marvel heroes who are morally questionable than DC heroes. I tend to believe that Marvel had more morally questionable superheroes than DC. So he should write those superhero who are morally questionable but in a limited series format.

Literally NOTHING in this book is the basis for the series 😆 it's all based on the West Coast Avengers books and the Vol 2 of their own series. Only the dog is in the series....and Marvel made sure to KILL IT 🦹♂️🪦😂

Vision isn't the one who started the family in the show...oh and he was DEAD. The ENTIRE scene of the children being born is from a 70s book - PANEL FOR PANEL, almost word for word. That's also the series which has the twins born (like the show Agatha steals the children ( like the show) Vision is reprogrammed (Like the show) Wanda and Vision live in NJ (Like the show) Agatha survives burnt at the steak (Like the show) ......the only thing similar to the visions is they live in a suburb (but Wanda isn't married to Vision 🤨) A dog named Sparky (With a total of 5 minutes on screen, half of which was his death and being dead😂) Vision ....but it's not the same version of Vision , not even the same COMIC version of Vision But hey....it's in the credits, right 😂🤡🦹♂️🚮

Some of the character motivations, decisions and specially repercusions are troubling. Was Vis's intentions at the end ever explored?

Tim King’s Vision is always a favorite to go back to. The Vision series along with his Mister Miracle series is IMO some of Tom King's best work.
