Mine turned out great, The instructions say to print at 150%......but I did 165%. But I would rarely spend that much on a toy for a secondary line I collect (cost me 60 in filament).....and of course the haslab is going to look better it is professionally made and 3d printing still has some catching up to do. I like 3d printing for those items we will never get.....I printed a huge sentinel class ship for my channel and numerous other ships etc we will never get including check point alpha, cobra bunker and currently doing a Rattler.......cool vid just subbed !

What STL did you use? The stl for that HISS is already scalled to classified and took me less then a spool. That is the HISS remix...of course I also didn't print the extras like missle pods and flight pod pad that can replace the removable rear turret assembly that he showed was removeable

@@Vexxed_ couldn't find the Name of the creator, but I'm positive it's that same print .....it was scaled to 150% and i added 15 to it .I did 20% infill.....each part of the body took 34 hours on my ender 3....and used tonka dozer tracks ....Im pretty sure I used almost two spools, but now that I think of it I did have a misprint on a bigger piece

I print and design GI Joe vehicles, and i know what I create will never hold a candle to what a multi-billion dollar company can do with injection molding. I see my prints as being a fill in until Hasbro makes the actual toy, plus it's fun and helps me express some creativity.

I've had hands on with the Haslab Hiss and the materials are just superb. The plastic and the components are all amazing in look and feel. Thinking how large a Hiss 2 would be blows my mind. I was looking at all the pieces and going, this is so good. Can't wait for the dragonfly. 👍

This was a nice primer for someone who is unfamiliar with 3D printed items, great job. I like the comparison to the ARAH scale version to the haslab.

  • @__TW__
    @__TW__ ปีที่แล้ว +2

the problem with those files for the printed HISS is that they are upscaled to 150%, which is actually too small. It should have been 160%. That way the driver fits a lot better in the cockpit, and makes the size correct. 6" scale is 160% of 3.75" scale.

When that stuff fell as you turned that was "CLASSIC"!!! 😂😂😂 The look on your face 😮 The 3D tanks are okay for what they are, But myself I like the real McCoy,
    Good review as usual, Indeed...
But the stuff falling "I just" That was "CLASSIC" again I'm saying it,
    Indeed...

The angles and contours of the front look better on the Hasbro product. The Classified canopy is aslo much better looking imo. Haslab is the better option based on looks.

Did you see Toy gigantes custom hiss tank he made? After he built it he he parted it out and molded all the parts. To be able to make a few of them.

I would not waste my money on a 3D printed HISS. Rather save up money and get one on second market aka eBay. I started collecting right after this was funded.

ok, you spent about $700 US in hiss tanks, no doubt, you re a fan.
it s too bad you don t use your dio building more often, it looks great.
    so $200 vs 350.....
bro, even 200 I m not so tempted, I used to pay $15 in the 80s.
and there s no driver at that price?
with all the problems, especially breaks... this is nt so sweet.
I expect Hasbro to release a retro classic cheaper, hopefully in stores.
I think that they could manage about $120 - 150 Can with a driver.
no electronics, no extra guns or missiles, perhaps the cockpit gun?
and then 'weather' versions, jungle, arctic, desert to cash in more.
    so where s the 3 d market?
I d say in pro customs....
I d totally see a CC special version, light blue, dif cannons, the crowned Cobra logo as with Serpentor.
make even a gold one for Serpy.
if I was good at it, I d make - invent a sealed turret, and maybe it could go underwater too.
I d attach air tanks on the sides where it s plain.
I d only need to buy one official hiss, scan it for parts mods to fit precisely.
I d rake the big money on trailer weapons, like the hal, mms, asp, and even real towed artillery or else to attach.
towed weapons are underrated by kids s sales, vehicles sold better, so they made less.
but for a real pro fan, towed vehicles are... a blast! D
matching quality - price of a big toy maker is quite a feat.
I d try to avoid that as much as possible, I d just colour my pieces according to factions,
make stickers to match, Joes, Destro, Cobra, October guard...
can you imagine the fun or replicating Russian weapons bro? ha, ha!
I loved the 6 and 8 wheelers of the comics, they rocked!
and who will compete with you then?
not many, it s your domain...
    good show bro

3D printing final parts makes no sense unless you're making a one-off. Also, these 3D printed canopies are funny. I could crank out flawless clear canopies all day.
Anyway, I have a Haslab H.I.S.S and I love it. It's too big for me to want a second one, though.

Nothing funny about armor with slits to look thruogh. Hasbro missed an opportunity to make an armored canopy with the Haslab.

I dont know who you been messing with who does not know to much about a three printer at all for what it sounds like ....or...My be this is a old video .......But if done correctly with the right amount of in fill ..proper color ...Size....Detail .....It can look just as good or better......Because the sKy is the limit on what can and cannot be put on the hiss tank.......IT really depends on who you went to for the job as a hole i think.........There are some 3d printters out therethat are amazing there care care and detail and skill creates pieaces that are a step beyound the norm .................Give me a call when you are truly ready to be enlighted to the world of the blue pil of skill..................NUFF SIAD....... .......yoooooooooJOE

I agree, and that’s why I did the video. People want to compare them and really there isn’t a comparison. But I have no issues with how the 3D one looks.
