Great video, can't wait for more. Just want to say that we have to keep in mind that the first version of the figures #1 to 6 are based on the figures from the G.I. Joe videogame Operation Blackout. That's where the shiny parts and futuristic weapons come from. I still hope they will make the Storm Shadow from that videogame.

Wow! That was a lot of toys! I didn’t start collecting GI Joe Classified until 2024 so I have a little bit of catching up to do. Although I have collected quite a few of the ones you shown in this video. The Cobra Island Road Block is a hard pass for me though - that design doesn’t make sense at all. The color of the outfit. The shades (glasses) should’ve been designed a bit better. The black chef hat that looks like a durag was not it. I like to see Road Block with his signature bald head.

I think your ratings were pretty fair, across the board. I didn't care for the movie figures at all, but I agree that Scarlett really wasn't that bad and she could probably fit in the main line as that character. Akiko, on the other hand.. That figure and the weird, tiny feet drove me absolutely nuts. I used her buck for my original Jinx custom, but swapped out the boots for the ones that came on the female blue ninja.

Great stuff In regards to nit doing repaints, I take it this doesn't rule out the retro line?

Great video as usual, Punk. I wasn’t sold on 6 inch Joe. I passed on 00 Snake Eyes. $40 for one figure was a bridge too far. I preordered Classified Destro to see if this “new” line was for me. 145 figures later, I think I like it.

hi, I finally managed to purchase this figure

Since I only got into Classified this year, this is a great video for me. One thing about the double elbow/pinless joints. I came across a Hasbro made Fortnite figure named Lynx on sale. Opened the box to find this female buck, made in 2021, has double pinless knees and elbows. So, Hasbro did have this “technology” as of at least 2021. No idea why it wasn’t used across other lines until much later. Some of the figures mentioned in this video are 2021 releases.

Those figures are special to me. It was 6” Joes. 00 was so electric to own. That Snake Eyes was the most bad ass Snake Eyes ever to me. It did have flaws, sure. But weapons rack aside, uzi, awesome sword, and that visor. Version 2 was my Snake Eyes as a kid. I found me a timber in some other line, Jumangi toys I think. 00 and that Jumangi Wolf was the most awesome toys I had. All of these figures even with there flaws and their astronomical difficulty in acquiring really was my favorite thing I collected. I was buying Mythic Legions, Black Series, Marvel Legends, and other stuff. But Classified transported me back to 10 years old. Battles with my brother all over the house. I love Spider-Man but back then there wasn’t awesome Spider-Man toys. There was GI Joe. I still love the first 15 figs. 12 was such a massive pain in the butt to get. Hell I remember acquiring four and two Baroness sets. Tons of hunting. I helped other collectors with the few I had. Eventually I think I ended up with 6 of 12. Six is my perfect squad size. I think I ended up with three Coil sets and only kept one of the Baroness figs. I do have the bikes. I love the Coil. I would take a Python Patrol repaint of that bike. I think I’m going to add some gold to one and make it a substitute for Darklon or just a crazy ass bike for Iron Grenadiers squad. I’d take a Classified Evader or Destro’s Despoiler. Maybe in time. The movie figs are cool. I gave the Morning Star to Jinx. The gold gives her a pop. I think it was called Morning Star. Anyway. All the Coco figs are great. I like many upgraded the Scarlett figure. I gave her a sword from the Marvel Select Psyloche. Classified is the best. It was then and is now. As much of a pain Cobra Island was, it still was very exciting. I wanted them and I went after them. I did call Target the company many four letter words. I was never rude to the employees. Several helped me out. Anyway. Years later and better Duke, Roadblock, Gunn Ho, Scarlett, Baroness, and Cobra Troopers have come along. We’ve gotten more great Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes figures too. Exciting brand I’m still enjoying the ride with.

I disagree with movie Scarlett being higher than Regular Scarlet. Movie Snake Eyes has nowhere to put his daggers. I might have to spring for that 3rd Cobra Commander he looks great. Akiko was impossible to stand and to date is the only figure that broke on me (7yr old broke her). Like you said it was early on in the line, I didn't like a lot of them. Oh also you sent me frantically searching to see if I still had Dukes Binoculars and alas they are still there. Great review Punk. Ranking figures is hard to do because it is so subjective leaving you up to disagreements. -Yours Truly, A-hole 🤣

I do like the movie Baroness it's a real good-looking figure. I got her for 5 bucks so maybe that is why I like her.

If you're going to race swap Snake Eyes (like that figure) you do it for a Black ("African-American") kid so you can swap em in for Boondocks cartoon dioramas

I think it’s great that your revisiting these figure! If my memory serves me correctly, Classified hit around this time of year back in 2019… To all the OG Classified collectors from day one, seeing these figures gives me flashbacks of the hell we had to go through to get our hands on these figures on release date! Now it’s all about preorders… 😂

This is the gung ho I want and got. The retro gung ho is vastly superior to the classified. Just the colors stand out and l like the weapons. Good video sir.

This is mainly about the glut of unsold, worthless Star Wars and Marvel toys. It's a Hasbro failure and also a Disney failure.

I was collecting them from the start but it was probably around the bat when they really were catching my nostalgia

Ok so I hope this will be an actual series Lawrence I started collecting in 2023 because I just did not have the finances. However, I now have 50 some odd figures, and most of those were due to your reviews. Now I get a good look at the beginning figures to see If I want to go back and get those too. Really great idea doing these for late collectors.
