This was so helpful! Thank you! I’m 51 and joined a gym for the first time in years and I have stuck with it for 6 months! My 19 year old son has been great in helping me with form and right and wrong ways but you explain this so much better and easier for me to understand. I enjoy the gym but I never want to look like I don’t know what I’m doing or doing it wrong and hurt myself. Would love more videos like this on legs, lower body, etc. thank you so much! 🙌🏻👍🤗
You're not necessarily wrong on releasing the shoulders when performing the lat pulldown but one thing to note is that when you release tension on the shoulders at the END or TOP of the lat pulldown, it helps the lats complete the stretch (or ROM) and for the following rep you bring your shoulders DOWN to engage the lats again before pulling.
This was extremely helpful considering I’ve been training incorrectly for 2 whole years. Answers my questions more than any other video I’ve watched. Thank you 🙏🏻
Yes! Thank yo so much. I have a shoulder injury as well, and these tips are great for when you have one. I'm grateful to have came across your videos. Please keep making them.
The demonstration for triceps push down extension really helped me visualize how this exercise should be properly done. Thank you! Can’t wait to try this👏🏻
Really love this video! You’re actually showing us how some of us may have been doing it improperly instead of just throwing random moves that is clearly not right 😅 Appreciate this video so much!! More more more please 😊
Thank you Hanna!! Yes pls more do's and don'ts! Maybe with more cable upper and cable lower body as well like glute straight kickbacks and glute med kickbacks, I find cable and dumbbell work the hardest to control in terms of getting more optimal angles, which positions to start and stop, for the targeted muscle etc. LOVE YOU
This has been so super helpful. I wish I had found this sooner. I would appreciate a lower body (common mistakes) video, especially with barbell squats, using the smith machine. I've injured multiple times with that specific exercise, so it would be nice to know how to do it correctly. Or an alternative. Thanks so much for these videos. Keep up the great work :)
Thanks for the tips , i saw a couple of details i need to work on and please keep this type of content its so appreciated. I want to get correct form down if i am making the effort to go to the gym . After those gains!
Shoulder press: you dont actually have to keep your hands straight at your side. You can just move them a bit in front of you. Like 30 deg. Still works your delts and feels comfortable. Just another alternative.
Like always helpful and teaching video❤ The only trainer and teacher who think's to help other in training is you our beautiful teacher 💐💞 I couldn't train without you❤ Now I have my own gym in Afghanistan for women I always play your videos on TV in gym all women are thankful for all your videos❤
I have been following you for a while on instagram but somehow never got it that you have a YT channel, discovered it last week…and I am absolutely loving it!!!! ❤ love this video as well, just such a good reminder for anyone to always check your form. Also love how honest you are about finding a balance between your work and family life! Thankyou for that!
Thank you! I second guess myself every time I do 3 point rows. After watching this, I understand how to take a step back and support myself better until I get the form down!
I love that you taught me how to do the face pulls better I've been doing it for 2 months my shoulders are getting big but your Technique is a lot better and I did shoulders and back today😊
Omg omg this was soooo helpful right when I've been looking everywhere for a pull video to help me with my form. I went in 2 weeks ago doing my best without really feeling much in my targeted muscles and knew my form needed help but I couldn't find enough details to understand. This is amazing I'm going to watch like 3 more times and go in the gym tonight with more of an idea! Thank you thank you!
15:24 totally unrelated but cool to hear Thousand Below's Venenosa in the background. Probably a common thing for gyms in Germany, UK or USA etc to play songs from the modern scene but where I live usually only pop, dubstep or really classic rock/metal songs play. Never really hear anything new (besides in a few exceptional gyms).
Some thing I was just told by my trainer is that our elbows should be a bit in front of our shoulders when doing the shoulder press. Is that some thing anyone else has been taught?
Ive been lifting for almost 2 years but its important to keep learning! I learned that Ive been stepping back too far with my tricep extensions. Thank you Hanna! 🤍
Super helpfull video, more of these, please..we, who train at home gym we can correct our movements via lecturing videos like this one..thank you and hello from Prague, Gabi🥰
A tip that i can give that i learned from my great coach is to stop betwen your nose and mouth MAX in lat pulldowns and really feel the contraction instead, so stop and feel the lats at that point. And then slooow up
I totally agree with you and congratulations! First is the correct technique and then the many kilos! We must do our gymnastics safely and with as few injuries as possible! We won't go for the Mr Olympia title
I’d love a part 2 with more upper body exercises and definitely a lower body one too!
yes same here, would love a lower body mistakes too!
@@hamsalekhavenkatesh3440 for example I see people do leg press wrong all the time, and it pains me to see! 😣
@@siobhanmairii yes, I agree! And sometimes even bar bell squats too!
Same same!! You are a great form teacher please more 😊
Great reminder of the importance of FORM. I learned a few things about TARGETING the right muscle/group. More please. Thank you!

Please don't be so concerned about offending anyone. This is so helpful for those of us who are beginners in this fitness journey.

Could you do a form video for legs, particularly for deadlifts, squats and RDLs 😊
Yes! Thank yo so much. I have a shoulder injury as well, and these tips are great for when you have one. I'm grateful to have came across your videos. Please keep making them.

A lot of these types of videos are really not helpful BUT this one is!! Every one of these tips are gems! Thank you so much ❤
Even though I don’t make any of those mistakes anymore, I’m always willing to relearn how to properly lift weights 😊. Thank you!
Really love this video! You’re actually showing us how some of us may have been doing it improperly instead of just throwing random moves that is clearly not right 😅 Appreciate this video so much!! More more more please 😊
I genuinely appreciate this video as someone who wants to focus on form!
Great teaching about the face pulls, i have definitely been holding my elbows out rather than up! Looking forward to giving the new form a try 😊
