I am fairly new to your site & just wanted to let you know how happy I am you are doing this. I have had my ileostomy for 2 1/2 years and have finally excepted this change in my body & life. Thanks for sharing you experience with others.
I wear wraps from ostomy secrets everyday! I love them. I especially love the swim wrap from them. It makes it easy as a woman to wear "normal" swimsuits and still feel confident at the pool or the lake.
You explain things very well and I have appreciated your way "delivering" the info. I've seen several of your videos and will keep referencing them and more. Thanks for helping me.
Still getting used to my uro stoma and how to change as I was operated only very recently. I saw a wrapper with lace very feminine hope I can get it. 🥰 will make me feel better !
I have an ostomy secrets wrap but found it is too hot here for it to be comfortable. We have had 60 days over 100 this summer and will continue for at least another week. When it cools down I will try wearing it again. I am thankful I just got one to start.
I just wanted to say thank you you have helped me a lot with all of your videos but I was wondering if these wraps would work because my colostomy is a lot higher than normal and is just a little below my rib
I don't know if you are still reading and responding to comments, but I just want to say THANK YOU for these videos. I have learned more from you in the past couple weeks of watching your videos than I have from my doctor or the home health nurse that I had for a few weeks. I'm still waiting for my doctor to let me know if my colostomy is permanent or if he plans on reversing it in the future (colon cancer patient). I want to have some sort of support like a wrap or Nu-Comfort belt. I do have a question for anyone who can help - I am a woman with hips - do the support wraps tend to roll and/or bunch? Thanks.
It's my pleasure to help. Some people (especially women) do find that wraps can roll or bunch up. There was a discussion about some possible solutions on my support forum not too long ago. If you have the option to try a few different brands, you might find that some work better than others. Best of luck!
Hi Tracy. You'll want to check in with a supplier or manufacturer to see if kid sizes are available. If you're having trouble finding one, let me know and I'll check around, too.
New ostomate here. Two weeks from my ileostomy surgery tomorrow. I am thankful for your reviews and info. What have you found to be the most comfortable wrap/belt in the heat? I tend to sweat a lot. And I have to dress for a wedding at the end of May. Thanks.
StealthBelt or wraps can be fine during the summer, but one trick I use for sweat is to dust baby powder under the belt. An unconventional trick (which I haven't used myself, but some people have told me that their stoma nurse recommends it) is to use actual, unscented antiperspirant. Take care 😊
You'd have to check with each supplier, but most wraps designed for ostomies have two pockets and will work with two bags. You can also contact most of these manufacturers to inquire about custom making a wrap if existing ones don't work for him. Best of luck.
Wraps can be purchased directly from suppliers, depending on which country they are being purchased from: www.veganostomy.ca/ostomy-clothing-manufacturers/
Hi there, I just wanted to know if you ever have a problem with leakage with this wrap? My output is very liquidy, and I'm concerned that if the wrap flattens out the bag, it will cause my output to sit around the ostomy and essentially seep under my appliance. Any advice?
Hello. I haven't had problems with leaks when wearing a wrap, but a wrap may cause more "pancaking" of thicker stool if it's on too tight. Loose or liquid output tends to be much easier to handle, and I suggest using a gelling product inside of your bag if your output is liquidy. The wrap that you wear should be tight enough to offer some support, but not so tight that it won't allow for the bag to expand easily.
This could depend on where you live, but have a look at this list and inquire with the companies who offer wraps in your country: www.veganostomy.ca/ostomy-clothing-manufacturers/
Hi Erik, My new Ostomy user. I live in Dubai but I have very hard time to find out ostomy guard or wrap or other support items. Do u have in info on this...Thank u
Hi Kumar, I have a list of ostomy wrap manufacturers here: www.veganostomy.ca/ostomy-clothing-manufacturers/ But that list doesn't include stoma guard manufacturers. Many of those companies will ship internationally, so I'd suggest contacting them to see if they can ship to you. If you find any other suppliers that I haven't listed, please let me know so I can add them. Good luck!
+Ann Thistleton I like the ostomy secrets classic wrap because it fits me the best. The Awestomy wrap is also very good, but the one I have is too tight for me to wear all day.
They won't really prevent leaks, but if you do have a leak they will most certainly help to keep things contained! I've had a few leaks where only the wrap was soiled, not my clothes!
The problem with pouch "ballooning" can have many solutions, and it's best to address the cause of the gas directly if possible. I offer some tips in this video: th-cam.com/video/vpkkGNKBo60/w-d-xo.html and even more in this article: www.veganostomy.ca/ostomy-pouch-ballooning/ Good luck!
Hello. If you don't already have a local supplier, I would suggest seeing if any of these suppliers will ship to Bangladesh: www.veganostomy.ca/ostomy-clothing-manufacturers/
Please send me a contact where I can order.NB.I enjoy and always watch your clips!!I am from South Africa and most of these accesories is not Available in this country!!
Visit: www.veganostomy.ca/ostomy-clothing-manufacturers/ In the search, type "wrap" and you'll get a list of companies who sell these products. You'll want to contact each one to see who ships internationally. Some do, and some don't, unfortunately.
That's a good question! You'd probably want to check with specific brands who manufacturer them, as I'm sure they can custom-make smaller ones, if they don't already have them available :)
Hello, because I have an ileostomy, I can share my experience with it. However, 90% of my videos can be applied to colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy care 👍
With my bag being so high up on my body( about 2-3 inches away from my boobs) I just can’t see me being able to wear a “band”. Can you suggest a “ lady” that I could watch to see what she uses…… so far ,I’ve not found a video or person that has it as high as mine is( of course that has a lot to do with me being so short waisted🤦♀️🤦♀️ ) I do enjoy your videos too.❤️
What kind of ostomy, Becky? I haven't heard of one being that high, either, but you're welcome to asking on my support forum at www.veganostomy.ca/community/ 👍
Hi, im a mom of a 3 yr old girl who was recently diagnosed with Hirschsprungs and will undergo surgery. We live in the philippines and i make minimal income. Would appreciate if you could donate some ostomy related materials and accessories. Thank you in advance
Hi Angela, I would suggest contacting a charity who might be able to send supplies : www.fowusa.org You should also check to see if you have any national or local ostomy associations that can help.

+Jeanne Klohr Yes, it can definitely end up being too hot to wear one in that kind of heat! Thanks for watching!
Ill have to look into this and see if they are available in Ireland...Thanks for posting

I don't see why not. It would be more of a problem for very low stomas.
Wish that there are distributor of this here in the Philippines.
Some companies ship internationally, so inquire with manufacturers to see if they can ship to the Philippines as well. Good luck!
Thank you, thus us such a helpful review for a newbie
