I watch a lot of other travel vloggers, and always been in awe of the places they go with such beautiful scenery. Not thinking about how lucky I am to live here in NL! Just came across you guys and so glad I did!
As always, y’all nailed it! We will definitely get here some day! It literally has everything I love to do and see! Thank you for sharing this amazing hidden gem!!❤❤❤
I’m SO GLAD that you love this piece of our beautiful country as much as we do! We are humbly proud of it too …and it’s so nice to see our US friends enjoying it so much!
Wow (again)! Really enjoying the fantastic scenery during your hikes, as well as the regular food stops (haha). Wonderful job filming and editing each stop. What an extreme contrast between Texas and Newfoundland! Can't wait for more to enjoy! Tks
So far you are showing some of the best Newfoundland has to offer. Can’t wait for the next one. We have been lucky enough to spend our summers over the past decade of retirement in this place that a good friend described as "NEVERLAND".
We are loving all of your videos! These on Newfoundland are experiences we could never have personally, but through your efforts and lens, we are given this gift. Bless you two!
You could easily spend a month exploring Gros Morne and not see it all! I've lived on the west coast of NL all my life and I never get tired of the area.
Both of you do a great job with camera, drone, etc ……and then putting all of this together in editing for us to view. All with big smiles along the way. Nobody does it better. 😊
Another beautiful one guys! Medicine to my soul. Sweet Kona . Just blended with the Tablelands ❤ Kathryn toffee and chocolate are my favorite flavors ! What an epic camping spot.
Beautiful! I was in Wichita last weekend and rewatched your Kansas video for ideas, I wanted to check out the Cowtown museum, but unfortunately, the only day we could have gone was Monday and they were closed. (But we also had to make our way back to St. Louis that day, so we didn't really have the time it deserved. We went on a short hike in an area park instead.)
Kona, you're not fooling anybody with that behaved dog act. The Tablelands looked pretty neat. The walk looked treacherous though as a fall on those jagged rocks could have been a vacation ender.
Another fantastic video! Thanks for taking us along. If you ever wonder if viewers appreciate the work you put into your videos, the answer is a resounding YES!!!!
You guys didnt get much luck with weather did you. Usually the west coast is better than east for weather. Enjoy your content, the video work is excellent abd your energy is inspiring. Thanks for visiting The Rock.
Woohoo! Early to view this video. I’ve really enjoyed following your maritimes tour and this one is no exception. Gros Morne is definitely going on my bucket list
If Green Gardens is too much at the end of a long day, head into Trout River just down the road and hike the short, but sweet, Eastern Point Trail. Gorgeous coastline shots...
You didn't quite get the description of the tablelands correct. The piece of oceanic mantle was slid over continenatal plate. For example, there is crust UNDER that piece of mantle.
Looking at your backpacks. My current camera-gear specific backpack is horrible to hike for any distance with. I read on your gear blog you are now using the rei Trail 40 pack for women. Do you have any kind of gear storage cube you place in it? I have a full frame camera and a 150-600mm lens I need to lug around safely. Any suggestions?
Yes we both use the REI trail 40! We love it! We don’t use any cubes inside. We carry our cameras with the Peak Design clip www.amazon.com/dp/B07818LB9D?tag=adventures0c9-20 Hope that helps!
I really enjoy your videos here for the great landscape you show us - but I also enjoy the professional quality and very high standard of your videos! I wonder how you do this? What is your filming and editing equipment? How you film all the great scenes with the 2 of you in it - tripod? Drone? Maybe one time you can let us know about this. - like a special to your travel videos! Very interested! Greetings from Germany! Update: I found your video about your equipment! It’s from 3 Years ago but it shows a lot I was asking before! Great! Thanks!
Hello! Glad you found that video! We also have blog posts on our website with the more up to date gear we use! adventuresofaplusk.com/gear/ Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
This is one of our favourite hikes in NL. If you are into geology, the island of Newfoundland is thee best place to visit. How about touching some of the oldest fossils on the planet. They are just 10 minutes from Bonavista. Tons of free overnight spots on the island and locals will rarely complain. But more likely to stop for a long chat. If you are adventurous take the short ferry to Labrador and head west through Labrador and through Quebec.
Yes we read about and saw such diverse geology in NL! Bonavista was awesome and the camping was top notch! We wish we had time to visit Labrador. We definitely want to some time!
We must have been there at a similar time as you two! We are also posting about our journey right now and it is so enjoyable to be going through that video footage. We will have to check out some of your other videos, but we encountered some phenomenal red chair placements during our time in Newfoundland. Whoever chooses those locations deserves a medal! Keep the adventures coming!
Did you guys find the park very dog friendly? Going this summer and have seen a few comments online that there are areas that are not dog friendly. Thanks!
We thought the park was very dog friendly. The Tablelands Trail was a little tough on Kona's paws, but other than that it was great! Remember to keep your furry friend on leash
What needs to be acknowledged is how hard it is for couples to keep making videos and that you do it so well. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. Eating ice cream is such a treat for you and makes me want to eat everything. Thank you.
Wow, Gros Morne National Park looks absolutely incredible! 😍 The variety of terrain and stunning views from the hikes are truly awe-inspiring. Walking on the Earth’s mantle and seeing those breathtaking waterfalls and coastal scenery must have been an unforgettable experience. Thanks for sharing these amazing trails and the helpful map. Really awesome video you got here. Have a great day. Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
Have you been to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site? Designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Interesting story about Vikings and humans circumnavigating the world between East and west closing the loop.
Another entertaining video. Thank you. We tried staying at your boondocking site earlier this summer but it was full of garbage. Someone has done an excellent clean-up job. Bakers Brook Falls and the Lookout Trail are definitely on our 'to do' list for next summer's adventures in Newfoundland.
Loved this! So glad you are taking your time and enjoying the beauty that Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer. Wish I’d tried the ice cream, I spent an afternoon at the ( kinda yucky) laundromat across the street when we were there. The lighthouse you missed is stunning, but being cold and wet is not!
I discovered your videos earlier this summer when we were planning a trip to the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota. I have been hooked on your channel every since! I just love following your adventures and am getting inspired to maybe try backpacking. I’ve always loved camping, but did it from a car. I’ve been nervous about backpacking, but your videos give me some confidence that I could do it….at least for a weekend.
You didn't specifically mention it, but Moose were an introduced species to the island. That is why the park has the moose exclusion to highlight the effect they have. Since their introduction Moose have had a very large cultural influence on the island especially in the rural areas. nearly every family would supplement their diets with the annual moose hunt. I grew up on moose and did not regularly eat beef, with the exception of salt beef, until I went to college.
Also growing up fresh lobster and cod from local fishermen, river caught Salmon, wild birds, and rabbits from snare lines. Also rarely caribou, but i did not grow up on the part of the island where caribou hunting was common.
Do you guys ever have moments where you just look at each other in amazement and realize all the incredible places you've been? Because ya'll are truly living the dream! That's a good description for it...mini Yosemite! That is still one of our favorite hikes. We're so glad y'all got to experience it! Hope y'all are still enjoying it out there!
We did a 'Rock to Rock tour' last year, Vancouver Island (our rock) to Newfoundland (the other rock). We spent well over a month on Newfoundland. We also spent a lot of time in Gros Morne, including the Tablelands and dinner in Trout River, Rocky Harbour, and all the way up the Viking Trail to L'anse aux Meadows/St. Anthonys for the ICEBERG festival. be sure to take at least a day to visit Labrador, it is everything you would expect but so so much more.

Yup- we live in TX and are so over the 100 degree temperatures. Glad you escaped!
Thank you for using the word tundra…. Many people would not have heard this word… but us Newfoundlanders studied this in school.

100F? 50F? I will choose 50F, no rain though.
Do you know the MBTA in Boston if so name a station I should ride from and name a station I should ride to
Welcome to Newfoundland (From the east coast NL)!!!
Too baaaaaaaad😂 great to view eastern parts of my country 🇨🇦❤
Woohoo! Early to view this video. I’ve really enjoyed following your maritimes tour and this one is no exception. Gros Morne is definitely going on my bucket list
Long time viewer but first time commenter 😂 Sorry if it’s a weird question but I’m really curious - is Kathryn half Asian? Amazing videos guys!!!
haha no she is not. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Moose stew is the best way to have it. Slow and low
If Green Gardens is too much at the end of a long day, head into Trout River just down the road and hike the short, but sweet, Eastern Point Trail. Gorgeous coastline shots...

We basically read word for word what a NP video said. 🤷🏻♂ Thanks for watching!
Too baaaaaadddd 😂😂😂😂😂😂
R you planning to hike to the base camp at mount Everest sometime? I think this would be fun and ultimate hike.
It’s on our bucket list for sure, but we don’t have any plans to do it any time soon
Jam jams yummy
