Drum Corps Central yeah that’s just how Japan is. Last May I did a tour around Japan with my college’s wind ensemble and crazy energetic applause just isn’t part of their culture. It’s quite fascinating really
Japanese style marching is usually played on the field of 30m×30m. They would be real CC members invited to the real competition in Japan as a exhibition.
@@KobaCrawls I mean I don't have a problem with that. SCV '18 showed that you don't need a lot of space to have a great show. show design is the main reason no one cares about indoor winds. imo indoor winds can't truly carve their own path without having a solid foundation. If it takes basically being like a drum corps in other countries like Japan where they march in a lot smaller of an area, then so be it. I just want to watch good shows.
@@tacos8910 I completely disagree. Firstly there are already entire circuits devoted to smaller/indoor drum Corps. What's the point of creating a different activity if you're just going to take something that already exists but make it smaller? I'm not sure where you got that most people don't like winds, and if they don't, its because of show design. Perhaps you don't like winds and it's show design because you just really like drum corps. If that's the case then just enjoy drum corps lmao. Winds has a very unique show design and style for a reason. It's meant to be different. Otherwise all of marching arts would look the exact same.
@@JuanHernandez-ts2km that's really only the blue devils, at least officially. The rest of open is independent from DCI. Though I wish there was a veteran crown group in DCA for all the people over 21.
+james waller Since the field is so small, they had to hold auditions for who got to go or not. So not only did you have to already be in it, you had to audition to see if you got to go to Japan.
The best part about this video is that they are still balancing and blending flawlessly with such a small hornline
I mean a smaller horn line does make it easier to blend and balance
@@pmil9645 wrong
It would be hilarious if mini-Carolina Crown actually competed.
In DCI, or in SoundSport? I agree in both cases, but I would DIE of excitement if Crown added a SoundSport team to their organization.
Luke Petrowski they bad tho
@@kvnyegvmp huh?
Idk if you are joking or not
can i hire a mini drum corps to perform at my birthday party
no
Haha. I would like a mini Bluecoats
It would've been really funny if they did the brass feature with such a tiny hornline.
Gentry Walker it’d be like one to a part 😂😂😂
I’m sure it still would been great just less full or mysterious.
3A lina Crown
Smaller hornline, still loudest Corp. lol
Bryson Riley i disagree. bluecoats actually measure themselves every warmup with a db meter and this year they got up to 106 db
109 but that was at semis I believe
mini hoov I’m pretty sure crown in 2016 got over 110 dB
late reply but I'm still certain crown 12 is the loudest hornline, only rivaled with Crown 13 and 16
@@Cmmf_ crown 2010 would like a word
Of course they had to get the Crown set in at the end!
oh my eyes.. only 240p
Crown ballads just hit different.
The applause is like they hit a good shot playing golf. Complete opposite of Indianapolis.

Honestly shows in the south central USA get a pretty tame response too
@@rosestewart0 shows in the New England area get booming applause. I’m in a crappy high school band and get more than they did here lol.

This is actually very enthusiastic applause for a Japanese audience.
4:17 who else saw the full show?
I did

This is what wgi winds really should be

The Best Corps Ever!
So they brought timpani but not all basses?
what in gods name did you use for a camera
its almost a decade old video, calm down.
So question, is the people from the fort mill group, or is this a Japanese team working to emulate CC?
Im pretty sure this is DCA or the open class, I'm not sure how it works but I think every corps has their own "Mini" corps or their open class corps

Just now realized how killer this would've been in the days of A-60 or Div III.
the spectator pretty quiet. lol
no front ensemble?... lot of empty spaces

if u look close enough, you can see them at the very end of the bleachers.

I like it without the trampolines better

Laura Cox Actually a big part of it was people not having the money to go and not having the time to go.
Because like their dicks, Japan only has small stadiums.
I guess helping them rebuild after WWII wasn't enough.

You just had to didn't ya...
