Aw man! I can't beleive Eric tricked us into thinking it was the Carolina Crown 2010 show featuring him on quads. It was just a realistic cake version with a bunch of stop motion. Oh you Eric!!!
I started watching dci in 2014 and automatically loved crown, 2 years later I played Danzon No2 at county honor band on first bugle part which was one of my favorite pieces to play to this day, and I’m just now realizing crown played it… I absolutely LOVE this arrangement
One wonders sadly what happened to the very high level of brass performance back at this time. This show's music performance is off the charts. The volume and clarity are thrilling. The Elgar is astounding. Only a group this excellent could pull it off. And you'll probably tell me they won 5th place or something. This is a first place performance.
It was a deliberate choice to use yellow brass in this show, right? It seems appropriate with the repertoire selection. Yellow brass produces slightly less resonance on upper overtones, creating a darker timbre.
I heard that it made more sense with a scrapped show theme they were planning on going with early in show development, but by time they changed their minds the horns had already been purchased and it was too late. They sound amazing either way though.
Holy crap this is the tastiest meal I’ve ever had. I’m trying to learn how to cook and hopefully I’ll be able to make a meal like this one day. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
I didn’t bake this cake, but I have an opinion. In the choral portion of the Mahler 2 finale(in the Bernstein production) that appear to be wearing dresses that together create this costume…. th-cam.com/video/gQctkKJMgM0/w-d-xo.html 3:10 in Mahler Video
The most difficult part of the show was in the non-judged pre-show. Honestly great performance, and excellent ensemble execution, but wasted on pre-show

@@simonking5381 sadly not finish out for the final 1:00 of baking but still be known as an awesome part of the recipe
is this an actual cake recipe or is it just satire

These cooking recipes are so good and it's so weird that the picture for the channel is a dumpster...
Recycling bin... even things used once get a second chance!

Man I love the Mahler opener!
Old Man Eric: "Back in MY day!" 😁 Nice to hear the performance without all the commentary! 😎
Such an underrated show

I think I read something about it was being accidental, but I don't know, it's a hazy memory. Even if it was, it turned out great.
Yeah, I think it makes the cake taste more rich
I heard that it made more sense with a scrapped show theme they were planning on going with early in show development, but by time they changed their minds the horns had already been purchased and it was too late. They sound amazing either way though.
giga-late reply; i believe the intent was to make it look like crown 2009 viewed through a sepia filter?
I was from a former member that it was because they were going for the "gold"

Can someone who helped bake this explain the premise of the yellow girl ingredient?

Music u can tap ur foot to and remember when you left. NOT. Effin sucks
Great show but man oh man, they shouldn’t have given such a young corps such exposed material at the beginning. 🫣
Not even just from the brass. Listen to the percussion tape and the judge was calling out those isolated attacks in the battery
