I even deactivated my Facebook account, bcuz I got tired of seeing people posting a shopping cart full of the same castings literally taking everything off the pegs. I grew up in the 70s with Hot Wheels and started collecting again after realizing that my mom had kept my HW when I was a kid. People forget that they’re (mainlines) are a child’s toy first. I’m just glad that I didn’t have grown men taking all the HWs just to make a few bucks. There’s people that don’t even collect doing this just bcuz of the money. There’s more scalpers than collectors. The 5 accounts per household is meant if there’s multiple collectors in a household, not for 1 person to have 5 accounts. HW is actually trying to find ways to discourage this. I heard they were thinking about one item per credit or debit account. What helped me was that I stopped looking for HW like I was, and believe it or not, I’m having better luck. I don’t collect for monetary reasons and after having a conversation with Bruce Pascal, I open and display mine. At the most I may get 2 of the same casting, 1 to open and 1 to keep carded. It depends on the casting. Ever since I got my iPhone, I’ve been fortunate to get the RLCs that I wanted. I don’t go for ones that I don’t like. People say yeah but you could trade for one that you really want, but I look at it like I don’t want to take it out of someone else’s hands that may really want it. Idk, that’s just me.

The Z Proto is actually a trim level of the new Z and not the actual prototype. They're not making many of them and they're all based upon the Green-Yellow prototype model with gold wheels. Just wanted to point that out, great video as always.

What if everyone has 5 accounts and there are 10,000 items? Say there are 10,000 accounts (made up number). That would mean 50,000 accounts, of which only 10,000 are not duplicates, would be in competition for 10,000 cars. The more people join and make 5 accounts, the greater the competition exponentially. I'm new to this and am trying to wrap my head around it. We used to play with Hot Wheels in the 1960s.
Bots buy up hard to get items in a fraction of a second. I don’t care if you have 500 accounts. When you click “buy now” at the opening bell & it says “sold out” , you know the bots got them. Nobody types that fast
They don't give a shit if its a bot ordering it, when you have a car go up for sale and there's 30,000 available say at 25$ and its sold out in Less than 5 min $750,000 + S&H is a pretty damn good day!

I have a question, ordered my first redline car, do they normally just come in a box with like literally no other protection? Such as wrap or peanuts??and if something is damaged can we complain to Mattel or??

Fighting over cars is not collecting, its called hording. Creating instant value in cars will end up with zero value in the future. Why bother with this stuff when you can just collect real redlines that have been established for a long time now.
