- Review of the BMW M635i CSI - classic BMW E24 6-series
In this exclusive special feature created for #DriveTribe.com (now offline) I borrowed a classic 1985 BMW M635CSI and shot it with a classic film camera - the 1958 Yashica TLR, also a 635!
So how we did we get on trying to shoot a nearly 35-year old car with a six decade old camera. What does it take, how does it work, did the pictures come out? And of course, we've got to take the M635CSI for a run and remember what an extraordinary dream car it was for some, including me. I still want one!

Thanks to BMW UK - this immaculate car was borrowed from their heritage fleet exclusively for this feature.
Best looking BMW ever made imo. Fantastic engine & great handling too so a brilliant overall package.
Can’t disagree with that! 👍🏽😃
Beautiful car, probably the best looking BMW! And the M variant pre hi-line model is the best out of the bunch. Great video
The Original One Minute Sketch Artist Thanks so much - glad you enjoyed it!
Ergonomics was associated with BMW and SAAB in the 80s, what a wonderful time for these cars
Great vid concept
Roman Alizarde Thanks!
Ohh it's a camera, thank god! I thought a .635 was a large calibre gun.
Oh goodness no!!
This will be worth a Million quid in 30 years
Beautiful camera, and I had no idea they took 35mm film as well as 120. I might have to get one, although if I'm being honest, digital produces better, or at least, more consistently better results. Great vid, cheers!
Oh yes, I couldn't live without my Canon 60D DSLR - or Iphone! LOL. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah you need an adapter kit to use 35mm film, then you go get more shots. If you buy a Yashica 635 try to get one with the kit, because it's very hard to find separately.
@@BrownCarGuy Thank you for taking the time out to offer some advice. In fact, I'd already had a look and found a 635 on the Bay (no adapter!) I dodged a bullet there thanks to you! :)
lefroy1 wow! LOL.
Can’t believe he was sat on the bonnet like that. The disrespect
