Watching your video brought back so many great memories. I was exchange student 42 years ago. I lived with a family that had a sugar beet farm on Sjaelland. Then I hired a Danish au pair to live with us while I went to design school several years later when I was married with children. We wanted to make her recipe of Danish Crepes this morning (Pande Kager) and then I thought about making Lag Kage (Layered Cake) for a Father's Day dessert. Thank You making this sweet, sweet video! ;:0)
Wow, what a great story. Thanks for the comment, and I'm so glad you liked my video. :) Lagkage is a nice summer dessert, so yeah, great idea to make for Father's Day. Hope it came out good! :o)
Thanks. :o) DK makes this cake way too easy to make hehe but it's a good summer cake for sure! Btw I really liked your Swedish meatball video. I didn't know that they were baked in the oven first. I also like that I can understand you speaking in Danish. :) I am looking forward to trying your recipe.
I'm so glad to hear that, thanks! They are not usually baked in the oven - but I think it's so much easier to do it that way, so I just stick to that method :)

I will follow this recipe for my Baby's Quarantine 1st birthday. Thank you. 💋
Great! Hope your baby likes it! My baby also had her first birthday under quarantine in March.
It looks really delicious! Just like the traditional strawberry cake that we serve in Sweden during the summer :)
