Lolol.
I got the same chassis, I live in the Milwaukee WI area and picked mine up from him since he lived in Kenosha . Back in the day I bought a ClodBuster and had lots of plans but it was only used a few times . I got the Sassy Chassis and what ever was the best duel motor speed control it was back in the day. The speed control is new in box still and it's been 20 plus years.
That clod-buster looks absolutely amazing I have the super clod Buster painted in the red original colors but I think I'm going to buy the black body kit cuz yours looks awesome you do amazing work thanks again for the build video of the Clod...
The Super Clod Came out nice. The old Sassy chassis looks sweet on there. I never used them I was a ESP guy, but wish I had. I got my kit last thursday. Gonna start it soon. Kinda sucks to hear the replacement parts won't be available. Oh well. I'm gonna pick up a super clod with the blue parts to rip around outside.

Awesome your very capable I own a collision insurance repair shop started messing with rc building a savage xl flux with the new alza conversion anyway getting some good tips. Also did get the kyosho foxx ve 4s fun box stock 4s
I took one of these and made it into a claudzilla with all the tubular chassie parts and the truck is the truck is insane I love it it's the best truck I've got

BRMN8R the flange nuts are on the shocks the screw heads are on the chassis side I didn’t want the flange serrations digging into the chassis. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
gatti493 Thanks I made some of the parts out of alloy but I don’t really like aluminum it’s kinda weak I’ve found if designed properly stainless and chromoly can be close in weight but way stronger. I wanted this thing to take a beating lol

Just as a side note have you tried crossbows , I have a 225lb one , unbelievable power I'd love to let you try it but being in different country doesn't help lol If you ever get one I'd like to see a stopping power comparison to a firearm, would be interesting
@@clodbusted1776 They need the axle mounted servo mount from freestyle rc outta the box. The steering setup makes it so the stock steering is really sloppy outta the box. Mine wouldn't even go in a straight line lol
I just started using pulse I have a miller synchro wave and I mostly weld aluminum the thin stainless can be tricky to weld especially where it’s hard to get a good angle with the torch
@@clodbusted1776 on some of the tougher angles hang your tungsten further than prescribed and boost your gas some. Stainless is simply real gummy and soft, so a normal weld process that leaves little distortion on 4130 or some high carbon steel will warp 304, 308 and 316 like crazy. So pulser is a plus and simply letting your material cool almost completely, or substantial use of backing heat sinks. You are likely a master in the Al department of which I have much less experience. I always found the post weld heat treat to be a pain in the butt. Have a good one bud.
1/5 clod is badass only thing I dont like is the lower link mounts being on the bottom of the axles. they are snag points. link mounts need to be mounted on the side of the axle. and then you can bend the link and make them High clearance links.
Julian Hendrickson stock shocks are a little over 100mm fully extended I usually look for 100mm shocks I would stay away from the cheap eBay ones because they’re usually too soft. Integy makes nice ones and you can also use tmaxx shocks
justin johnson it’s ok I got it together it’s been great but there are few things I wasn’t happy with so I went back to the drawing board and started over. Check out my latest video I scaled it down to 1/8 I think it’ll be more fun
If built properly with good materials they can be much stronger than a plastic or aluminum chassis. You should build one . My advice would be to figure out what you want to use for axles and a body first then plan your build from there

With and integi piggy back .and Wheel adapters and hub carriers On 4 link front and rear

If you use the pulse you can keep a lot of the heat out of your joints. Stainless likes the pulser. Looking forward to seeing that best run.
