It’s a beautiful reunion In Heaven with Kelly and her dad as well as all the Goodman and Dottie Rambo. I’m sure they are all gathered around the throne, wearing their robe and crown, singing to the Lord.
@DuzantWilfred 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I met Dottie Rambo years ago at the Southern Gospel convention in Kentucky. We found out that we shared the same birthday. April 12. Every year after meeting I received a birthday card from Dottie.
Only learned of this group as a result of the plane crash, most familiar with Black Gospel Artist. I really missed out on these beautiful voices. I am glad they were inducted into the Gospel Hall Of Fame before returning to their resting place. May the families find strength in the Lord during these hours. Good to know there music will live on and continue to touch familiar lives, and connect with others who recently learned of the them. RIP

Kelly is one of the sweetest people that youd ever meet. Ive had the privilege to spend much time in her parents home and with the group all over the Carolinas when they sang and I could get there. I dont think its odd that Jerry wasnt in the vid, but thats none of our business. Rex N. was the consummate gospel singer, he learned from the LeFevres. He expected the best from the singers in the group, so does Kelly . If you pay attention, you can understand each and every word in their songs.
A friend of mine, Seth from Cleveland took me to a Church in SW Missouri. It was the first time I heard Southern Gospel. The Pastor was Jack Blansit. I was in Bible School at Central Bible College. Man this group blew me away. Maybe one day I'll be blessed to play guitar with these great singers. And yeah it would be "pro bono."
Folks complaining about specific members missing... there’s probably 30+ band members who weren’t present. There’s logistical and relational matters that make it impossible for everyone to be present.

I think its awesome that after all the sopranos have their turn on "robe and crown" that they modulate up another key and Karen comes back and nails it. My favorite era of the Nelons was with her. I don't care who you are Karen's range and control is unmatched in SG
Did Amber have some of the best in the business to learn from? And she did learn well. Rex could really find a soprano and Kelly seems to have inherited that ability until Amber could pick up the torch.
@mega1breezy: When nationally/internationally-known people go through difficulties and crises, they have added stress the general public doesn't have. It would be the gracious and Christian thing to respect them, allowing them their privacy, rather than trying to drag gossip into public forums.
This was great! Now I will say this, Robe & Crown always has been and always will be Janet Paschal's song. Unfortunately, I don't think she can sing quite that high anymore, but in her prime, NOBODY, not even Karen Peck, could touch Janet on that song! However, how ironic is it with all of those younger sopranos up there, who gets to bring it home both times? The veteran Karen Peck whose voice has not tapered off at all in her nearly 30 years in SGM.
@@southerngospelvideos What do you mean? Ambe is there. And I thought Autumn and Amber were full sisters, meaning their dad is Jason? I want to know who the lady is that sang on I'm Gonna Wear A Crown before it was Karen Peck's turn
Justin, do you know the names of the other ladies besides Amber, Amber's mom and Karen? I would like to know who the lady is that sang on I'm Gonna Wear A Crown right before it was Karen Peck's turn. The first lady was struggling trying to sing that soprano but she nailed it. And of course Karen and Amber are naturals
The one voice that's missing was the heart and soul of the group. The group was never the same. Some people just can never be replaced. I'm talking about Rex Nelon.
What a great reunion they will have in Heaven. Prayers for the family and friends. Tremendous loss
So wonderful to hear Kelly & Karen's voices together again!
The Nelon's & Speer Family were always my 2 favorite groups.
Love love love this! Such beautiful annointed singers!

Yup, she's 60 now and still can hit all the high notes with great ease. She's a diva!!
Very nice. Very nice redention of We shall wear a robe and crow. Powerful Sopranos. God Bless y'all.
I don’t even know any of these except Karen and Kelly but they sound good.
That was also my favorite Nelons era! I completely agree with your whole statement! Karen nails whatever she does!
Whew! That was awesome! Great job!!!
Rex Nelon was one of my heros...he had lots of good groups. Janet and Karen both are awesome....to me, there is no more "Nelon's" since Rex is gone.
@Praise2Hymn Granted, Jerry and Janet weren't there, but Todd was up there playing bass.
I agree that no one could do it like Janet, she was always my favorite!
Amen
@TheNelonsFan Yes it is. He played piano for the Nelson's for several years.
Fantastic
Amy Roth was my favorite of all the women who sang with the group.
Amy Ross is an absolute fantastic soprano
oh how I miss Rex hitting the low notes on Son go bring my children home!!
Where was Charlotte Ritchey?

@ridingsfamily that is Stan Whitmore

I know it was bad but I sure would love to be able to talk to him..cause he sure could write beautiful songs!! Does anyone know hoe to contact Jerry?
Rest In Peace 🙏 😇
All respected and loved singers & musicians BUT where is Jerry Thompson?
That almost looks like Mike Hopper on te drums...who switched at the piano after Bring My Children Home?
Stan Whitmire. He played for The Nelons for five years.
WOW!!
Dan Clark sounds alot like Rex wow.
Not a "reunion" unless Jerry Thompson and Janet Paschal
Also Charlotte Ritchie. She was with them for 5 years!!

Jerry Thompson is conspicuously missing form these reunions. Hmmmm.

Who's the first Soprano on I'm Going To Wear A Crown?
Kelly Benton!
@mega1breezy He couldn't make it like Charlotte Ritchie & Janet Pachal or Rodney Swain
Where is Charlotte
She's still actively touring, so she very well could have had a conflict with a previously arranged booking.
@mega1breezy I liked Jerry, I dont know the reason for the breakup but he was a good singer and a good song writer also.
What happened to Jery ,Kelly's husband
Bill Donald her current husband is on stage
Janet Paschal, Charlotte Ritchie, and Amy Roth are all missing here, among others.
so was Amber and Autumn's father Jerry Thompson
