Here's a fun one. Eridu is (supposedly) the name of a city held dear to a Babylonian god of the abyss which was apparently everywhere just under the earths surface. According to one retiring HIA member who hires you to distract/eliminate ethereals while he harvests crystals. Those crystal structures support the entirety of the Eridu.
It took me a while to get into ZZZ. At first, I was just like "this is a weird" and "why are there animal people?" and none of it seemed to fit cohesively. Then around the end of chapter 1 something clicked and I realized that the world was surprisingly well-written and the different factions all fit into the larger narrative. Just met Belobog Industries... they're a fun bunch and my favorite organization... and cannot wait to see where this is going.
Also, "Obol" refers to the ceremonial gold coin(s) that ancient greeks would use for their funerary rites, either placing the obols on the deceased eyes or under their tongue.
Oh that's interesting. I didn't realize that those gold coins had a specific name. This feels like it could be an important note to keep in mind. Thanks for this.

I hope all of the original void hunters will be playable. Though it's hard not to believe the theory that the pink haired girl at 4:03 has corrupted and became the boss Nineveh the more I look into it.
I've seen that theory too and I'm not entirely convinced it's her yet, but I wouldn't rule it out either. If we find out that she came from a rich family and loved flowers, then it would line up with the items in Hollow Zero. Also the idea that the original void hunters became special grade ethereals is an interesting idea, but I really want them to be playable. the mysteries about each characters past are rly the biggest thing keeping me on board. this one's kind of a crack theory but I think Nicole could be related to Ms. Sarah in some way. The "prominent family" mentioned in Nicole's bio, and the fact she dnfed up back on the streets, and just the green eyes and black w/ gold accents outfit motif in their designs could be a correlation.
Characters are the most important part for a gacha game imo. I’ve also heard that theory about Nicole and it definitely makes me want to know more about her family history.
lucy and soldier 11. i hope we get like some lore on anby and soldier 11 being sisters. but my head cannon is that shes a clone of soldier 11 just slightly different.

I am convinced that Wise and Bell are either the real children of or adopted by, the person who worked with the 7 hero's originally. I mean even those guys would've needed a guide right? So either there is an 8th that was their "proxy" that didn't get remembered because why would you remember the guide to the hero OR the white haired guy more literally created hollow exploration by creating the system those two use and they passed it down to them. Basically either they're that guys kids, adoptive or biological, or there was an 8th member who they are related to that raised them and guided the hero's as a proxy. Barring time traveling I can't see any other way but I suppose it could be something completely different and completely insane. This is just my theory for now.
I think the reason I vibe with ZZZ way more than Genshin, is that the lore is actually easy to understand, it's just sci-fi stuff, meanwhile, Genshin has a more mythology theme to it which can get really confusing in my opinion

With the Victoria housekeeping quest and this- not really sure what to think with timeline unless they are retconning already

I know the devs said that ZZZ is separated from the Hoyoverse IP, but I just have to say. All the stuff about Hollow screams "Honkai" to me. Cause we've just confirmed in HSR that the Honkai doesn't necessarily creates Honkai Beasts. The Hollows still fits the concept of the trial of the Imaginary Tree (which just means, all civilization will have to overcome something that can destroy them). Even ethereals reminds me a lot of the Honkai Zombies in HI3rd since the process is almost identical, severe corruption that leads to mutation. So while the team of ZZZ said the game isn't related nor connected to the Hoyoverse IP, it is still evident that they took some inspiration from the other Hoyo games when they were writing the story.
I wonder if thirens were created because of Ether corruption. Also could be that Victoria Housekeeping is just a front and in reality they are assassins (which seems heavily implicated to me). Also as a side note, a playable Ethereal would be lit.
The origin of thirens is something I want to learn more about. I also agree that there’s also more to Victoria Housekeeping than what Lycaon told us. A playable Ethereal would be amazing and it would be interesting to see how Hoyoverse justifies it lore-wise.

I have trouble wrapping my head around Proxies in the setting. I thought they were more hackers than navigators with the recent chapters. The PubSec characters and HAND special episode treat them like they're this big threat, especially with Phaethon. I guess that makes sense since they probably hack private data collectors to support their navigation services.
I was about to comment something i thought was super cool about the Boar, but i was wrong it wasnt Hercules/Heracles but i got the boar and the lion all missed up again.

I have some questions about the hollow can people actually live in the hollow like that one scene where the son of calydon try to buy motorcycle part from that old man living in the hollow and all so can the monster survive outside the hollow and why can't they build a wall around the big and small hollow to keep normal civilian out of danger that can't not fight where that dub running way from the cops and try to lose them in the hollow no wall just run straight in
Just a thought that I had an idea for but I’ve seen many people in the comments theorising about Bell and Wise’s parents possibly being to a member of the seven legendary heroes. Well another interesting thing to do with that is (please forgive me I can’t remember exact wording but I’ll try and phrase it the best) but they elude to wanting something in hollow zero? And having ulterior motives at times. Could this be that they’re related to the founder of Helios academy and their goal is to find out what happened to him? (Related to as in referring to multiple different ways rather than just if their biologically related, adopted, or just knew eachother) but that’s just a theory thanks for reading this :))

I still am confused about normal proxies operate. Do they just compile carrots for raiders? With no communications once they go in? Do people think Euos is just really really smart sometimes? A feel like a few scenes show Phaethon talking to investigators but it’s probably a plot hole out of plot necessity to make the story presentable to the audience, but it’s probably a makes it hard to understand the mechanics sometimes
Still depends on the persons hollow resistance. Remember that boss gang that the cunning hares have fallen with together? Yep, that guy instantly turned in to a hollow.
I like ZZZ because unlike Genshin or Star Rail, the stakes aren't really high and the gacha rates are generous enough to keep you engaged without turning you away I don't like turn based games so Star Rail was immediately out of the question for me and Genshin wasn't bad I just couldn't really stick with the story

Don’t worry I got you. The seven heroes are from the “Where the Miracle Began” trailer. There’s a bit of lore on the interknot posts and from lore items in Hollow zero. I also grabbed some lore crumbs from their twitter posts.

To be fair, you’re right. It’s not explicitly confirmed. When I wrote and recorded the script, I thought it was, but I could be wrong. I personally think they’re different people for now because I’m don’t think the timeline lines up. As we get more information, I’ll make updates and corrections.

I have trouble wrapping my head around Proxies in the setting. I thought they were more hackers than navigators with the recent chapters. The PubSec characters and HAND special episode treat them like they're this big threat, especially with Phaethon. I guess that makes sense since they probably hack private data collectors to support their navigation services.

I have some questions about the hollow can people actually live in the hollow like that one scene where the son of calydon try to buy motorcycle part from that old man living in the hollow and all so can the monster survive outside the hollow and why can't they build a wall around the big and small hollow to keep normal civilian out of danger that can't not fight where that dub running way from the cops and try to lose them in the hollow no wall just run straight in

Just a thought that I had an idea for but I’ve seen many people in the comments theorising about Bell and Wise’s parents possibly being to a member of the seven legendary heroes. Well another interesting thing to do with that is (please forgive me I can’t remember exact wording but I’ll try and phrase it the best) but they elude to wanting something in hollow zero? And having ulterior motives at times. Could this be that they’re related to the founder of Helios academy and their goal is to find out what happened to him? (Related to as in referring to multiple different ways rather than just if their biologically related, adopted, or just knew eachother) but that’s just a theory thanks for reading this :))
It’s a good theory. Something that supports this is that the HDD that Wise and Belle use was developed by the Helio Research Institute.

I still am confused about normal proxies operate. Do they just compile carrots for raiders? With no communications once they go in? Do people think Euos is just really really smart sometimes? A feel like a few scenes show Phaethon talking to investigators but it’s probably a plot hole out of plot necessity to make the story presentable to the audience, but it’s probably a makes it hard to understand the mechanics sometimes

I like ZZZ because unlike Genshin or Star Rail, the stakes aren't really high and the gacha rates are generous enough to keep you engaged without turning you away
I don't like turn based games so Star Rail was immediately out of the question for me and Genshin wasn't bad I just couldn't really stick with the story

Don’t worry I got you. The seven heroes are from the “Where the Miracle Began” trailer. There’s a bit of lore on the interknot posts and from lore items in Hollow zero. I also grabbed some lore crumbs from their twitter posts.

To be fair, you’re right. It’s not explicitly confirmed. When I wrote and recorded the script, I thought it was, but I could be wrong. I personally think they’re different people for now because I’m don’t think the timeline lines up.
As we get more information, I’ll make updates and corrections.
Not sure if I'll stick with ZZZ but i did miraculously get Zhu Yuan early and more interested in the world thanks to your video so I think I'll stick around a bit longer
