One line that I think you missed in the Oko game was that Planar Cleansing would destroy the Fires of Invention as well, allowing you to play more than the 2 spells, and it would also destroy the other food tokens, so the Wolf wouldn't have fuel to survive other sweepers.
But as always, great game! It's very instructive to watch you play and reason : )

I believe it's time to update the Drawn from Dreams card text to match the mtga real play experience:
Draw seven lands, then put two non-land cards into your hand. Concede.
I’m running 2 glint horn buccaneer and 3 royal scions with this, to give the deck a sorta stall while you find fires that is actually pretty affective

Many more possibilities for this one now Fires is back in Historic in 2022. Time to revisit?

Probably to not de-rank since he doesnt always showcase tier 1 decks.
He probably doesn't want to lose rank playing janky decks. LVD is Mythic Championship material after all. :D

Pretty sure if one target is lost exchange never happens so you wouldn't have gotten the food if bounced the Faerie. Anyway great deck, do you think it's a viable one to try and build for Bo3? Or is it just too dependant on multiple options in the sideboard? I guess you can play it like this and swap dead cards for the best ones in the sideboard but then you wouldn't be able to wish for them, it would be pretty akwkward.
Indeed, I double checked the ruling. Definitely gets worse in BO3, but might still be able to make it work. It's not only losing sideboard slots that's the issue, but also the opponent having more answers to FIres of Invention.

Just gonna say, if ur playing wht fae of wishs packaged, taste of death is underrated, its usually a wrath that gains u 9 life ffs...

Simic Flash is a tough match for every deck lol
It usually struggles vs aggro decks with relevant 1-drops.

As a Simic Flash player I have to say that turn-1 Knight of the Ebon Legion means a lose xD
No real way to deal with it outside chumpblocking or Unsummon/Brazen whatever
Why no Drakuseths? Atleast that's my plan when I get 4 copies of FoI.
Without a way to give it haste it's not that great in a world of Oko and Teferi.
@@LegenVD that's why I added 2 Illharg ;) Works great with shared summons
@@krisk2710 Illharg is a bit of a nonbo with Drakuseth, as you don't get the attack trigger if you put it in play through the ability.

I love the Kenreth inclusion. The other videos on youtube of fires of invention seemed to be control themed with no way to tap lands after you got a fires in play. Meaning they were only ever getting 2/3rds of the efficiency of fires.
I know a lot of Grixis sets use the blue castle. A "free" scry two every turn is so strong.
I use blue and black castles along with karn's bastion and blastzone on my grixis fires

I think some form of creature stealing in the SB could be good since it acts as a removal and blocker using only 1 spell slot
After that game vs Oko and Wolf I came to the same conclusion. While a nonbo with Fires, I could always play Mass Manipulation.

Really good deck as always Legend but really wish some new op deck for climbing. More draft please cause its super useful right now as people want to draft to complete the set.
This is definitely my favourite deck - I spent all my cards on an oko food deck but it is too popular! I'm definitely saving up for this
Ral would be so good in this deck. His -2 is super usefull with Fires, letting you cast 3-4 cards that turn instead.

Hey Legen, thanks for making a video on this. I've been playing this non-stop for a few days and I like your take on it. I didn't have Kenrith but now I'm putting him in for sure because I desperately needed life gain. I would consider putting in ethereal absolution in your sideboard because that card shuts out a lot of aggro.
Glad to hear! Absolution is definitely a good suggestion. I figures Chandra had most of those problems covered already but Absolution can be much better vs Cavalcade decks.

Man, I really hope you make a reanimator deck using Kenrith. I feel like there's so much potential to have a legit reanimator deck in standard again, but feel like I'm missing a piece to the puzzle to make it consistent.
What colours are you playing? My initial thoughts are abzan, or perhaps 4colour not red

Definitely a consideration, but I think Kenrith is better for the most part.
Emergency Powers
Would be good if we had Narset, but given the creature-heavy approach she isn't very exciting.
@@LegenVDI Initially thought Kenrith plus Emergency Powers into Drakuseth could be a pretty nasty combination, but that extra land could be an issue. It works with the Realm Giant too! Addendum would have broken Fires if any of the cards had been decent.
