I am an American who moved to Denmark a decade ago (and LOVE IT HERE!!!!) and you are absolutely right. Danes speak English so well (at least anyone younger than 60 or 70 years old), that as an English speaker, it can be difficult to learn Danish. The minute Danes know you are not a native Danish speaker, or are an English speaker, they automatically switch to English. I went to get a Covid test the other day, and when they scanned my health card, and my very English sounding name popped up on the computer screen, they only spoke English with me. I only spoke in Danish, but they would only speak to me in English, even after they knew I could speak Danish. I know some English speakers who have lived here for over 30 years and have never even bothered to learn Danish because Danes speak English so well.

I just read in today's newspaper that according to U.S. Deputy Chief of Staff John Hyton, new war simulations performed by the U.S. military show that U.S. would lose a war with China no matter what the U.S. does. So how do you think it would go if the U.S. was attacked by an army that is 5.25 times larger than China. That bite of the pastry at the end was the Danish equivalent of dropping the mic.
My experiences with most of the Scandinavian countries; they are really nice to visit, filled (in the main) with decent, nice people, and those living there that I know say they have a great quality of life.
Denigrating Denmark to stroke somebody else’s ego then was unfortunate.

I also found it today. Love the video
Her: Nowadays people graduating in denmark, they wanna open up cupcakes cafe.
Well nowadays people graduating in america want to work at mcdonalds
At a third of the wage they get in Denmark. With several crippling student loans. Which cost a _lot_ more than those Danish taxes everybody seems to loathe.
Heyy.. I know she was rude and idiotic, but you shouldnt take anger out on an entire country cause of a few dull bigots..☺
@@laicitestudios859 It isn't a few, look at your president and people voting for him
you can live on a McDonald's salary in Denmark 😅 unlike USA.
Graduates in America work in low paid jobs or do not work at all unless you have a daddy to fix you a job or you are a member of your local branch of the Republican Party. In England I vote Conservative ,but in America I would vote Democrat.
Denmark and Sweden are great countries ! I am a US citizen worked for Ericsson and visited Sweden quite frequently. Amazing country, great people and just a fantastic system. Similarly worked very closely with friends from Denmark - again a great country with brilliant people. Sorry for this embarrassment.
I'm an American. I saw this piece Trish Regan did on Fox Business Channel. It was a dishonest smear of Denmark. This is the way Fox News operates in general. I'm glad you and a few other people have responded back with the facts. The US could learn a lot from Denmark and several other countries in Europe. Thanks for posting!
RuleofFive America is a joke country
America has full of discrimination, racism and obese people. And a stupid president.
Your education system sucks, lots of school problems, you only know 1 language, and the policemen in America don't even know how to be real policemen🤦♀️ and you too proud people...
It should be called AmerikKka or the joke country.
steven pursley American did WAY WORSE in the WW2 compared to us Danes. And you know it! Atom bombing us pure evil! And so much more.
And taking Mexicans kids away from their parents and put them in some kind of jail, like wtf!?!
U guys got bigger problems than us Danes. Fix ur country.
Many countries calling America a joke country, you should know that by now...
steven pursley we are a small country and we don’t have space for many more people. We want to take in more immigrant but it isn’t possible. And we wanted to be neutral to protect the population and Germany is so much bigger and stronger than us. Educate yourself before saying shit like that
@steven pursley In case you don't know. The US don't actually use the term liberal in the right way, you call progressives liberals. So when Europeans talk about liberalism or liberals, we are not talking about the same thing as you American ass-hats are. Liberals and liberalism is not the same as progressives, and it's not even on the leftwing side of politics. In fact most Americans are liberals, even the conservatives.

Worked for a big Danish company for a few years. Never come across more skilled and hard working people. Very nice too. They are doing something right.
@@fatherson5907 That's the Danish for you
@@fatherson5907 So in which companies have you worked with those many Danes, what was your role and what was their role? International institutions such as OECD, GlobalEconomy, Global Innovation Index and World Talent Ranking ranks Denmark in top 10 year after year on productivity, workforce skills, innovation and inventions. The World Bank, Forbes and TMF Group ranks Denmark as the no. 1 country in the world where it is easiest to run a business, quote (from Forbes): “For the second year in a row, Forbes Magazine ranks Denmark no. 1 in their global league table Best Countries for Business. Forbes has been publishing the Best Country list for a decade, and Denmark has ranked first in six of the 10 annual editions. The Danish workforce is among the most productive in Europe”. Danes have always had a very high work ethic. That doesn’t exactly fit with your description.
@@fatherson5907 Oh, did you really - which companies...? I suppose the truth is that you have never worked with Danes ever. For some reason, you're just full of hate (I came across some of your other comments), it's unhealthy you know can lead to illness and premature death. I think you have to apply for jobs in the OECD, the World Bank, Forbes etc., so you can tell them that they are completely wrong when they constantly place Denmark in the world's top 10 in almost everything, also when they rate the Danish workforce as the world's. No. 2 best workforce - which they have done 5 years in a row.
@@fatherson5907 I have given you FACTS in response to every of your attacks - which you can easily validate yourself - but you just ignore it and come up with new irrationalities and almost hate-like rants. You probably hate everything? Maybe it's true that you worked for a Danish company, and maybe you were fired because you could not handle the task. But I doubt it. The way you express yourself does not give you a job as a consultant anywhere.
Household debt, yes it is high, but the United States has an even higher one. When it comes to government debt, the US owes more than 3 times !! as much as Denmark (per captia of course). Denmark is a multi-party country, so if we were dissatisfied with e.g. those taxes that are financing our wellfare system, we would just start a new party and / or vote for a party that represents our wishes. Quickest to surrender, you hero - I guess you are talking about WW2, where Denmark was outnumbered 15:1. Comparing to the size of US, it equals if the US were attacked by 5,25 x China. Enough of you, really.
@@fatherson5907 So you say that if you borrow 1 million. to buy gold bars worth 2 million, then you only have a debt of 1 million and no assets. You should also look up the OECD's asset rankings. "List of countries by average NET financial assets per capita of Allianz A.G." published in 2021 ranks Denmark as No. 3 and US as No. 1. PS. The difference between you and 99% of the world population is that no one would ever mock the United States if they lost to a 15: 1 superiority. End.
Very nicely done response. Respectful and stinging. All the best Denmark from Canada !
I'd say dignified instead of respectful. You can't finish somebody and be respectful at the same time.

Yeah can't even get our name right. It's actually called the "Kingdom of Denmark"
The accuracy thing seems pretty spot on
