    Thanks for the fantastic video, Andy. This showed me everything I needed to know in half an hour. There is another guy call Bob Fisher on here who has done a series of tutorials and I have to play them at double speed, he talks so slowly!!

    Excellent introduction to iTrain. The maker should pay you for this. Thanks so much.

    OMG ! Can’t believe what I’ve just seen ! What a brilliant system iTrain is, and so well explained too. This system has recently been recommended to me by someone else on a forum, I’m just about to start building a model railway and have got Z21 to operate it. Really looking forward to getting to the point where I can start to programme my layout to work with iTrain. Thanks so much, now I found you, I’ll subscribe to you channel 😀

    I came across your video on iTrain, I know its a very old one and they are up to 5.1 version but it was very interesting video as I want to get a iTrain later this year when I upgrade my layout and install my version of Sheffield Midland Station ... Regards John

    Fantastic tutorial, I am just at the stage of setting my layout up using this and Roco Z21, so this is really helpful for me. Very well explained. Many thanks

    Great video, watched it all the way through! I'm currently trying to decide which way to go (iTrain or TrainController) so this was very helpful and informative! Cheers - Subbed

    Great video and nice to see someone doing that for itrain. It should also be said that it works for windows too. I'm still torn between that and train controller and i'm planning for full automation with touchscreen monitors for if I want to control routes/accessories myself.
    Cheers, Michael

    Thanks for the video, very informative.
    I've been looking at iTrain or Train Controller (Silver) for computer control but as I haven't got any track down yet there's no rush!

    great vid , there are very few vids like this,
    I am also using testing i-train as i bought the standard version....
    one amazing feature is if you have a ecos it mirrors all the inputs of locos functions address and accessorys which saves a lot of time inputing this info.
    I am trying to get a train to work in automation like a shuttle from one block to another but have not got it going yet.

    What a fantastic video. Question if i have itrain and want to use the z21 app, if i press something on the z21 app will it also change on itrain?

    Very helpful introduction. But I need to know about block control particularly as a little bird told me that a loco can be obliged to stop at the beginning, middle or end of a block. Also is a 'deceleration' block necessary before a stop/start block.

    Hello. Super good video with iTrain. Hope you will continue to show more about what iTrain can do.
    Which controller do you use besides iTrain?
    I use ECOS and started slowly with iTrain.
    Greetings from Denmark :-)

    Very good video, however Rocrail can also be used for ever and there isn't even a version you have to pay for. The dialog that pops up at start is only for a donation, but you can use it with it's full potential also without any donations

    Excellent video looks good piece of software would I be able to run railmaster with e-link for my locos and I train for my points and accessories?

    • @CallingAllStations
      @CallingAllStations  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't say for definite but a quick look on the Hornby forum suggests the eLink isn't compatible with iTrain. There are however similar pieces of software like Big Bear and JMRI that do support eLink. Big Bear is very similar to iTrain and is quite user friendly. I've never fully tested it as it's not compatible with my base station. But it will work with eLink. Again they offer a free trial with a couple of locos and limited routes/accessories so you can see if you like it. I've always found JMRI very complicated but if you know what you're doing it's quite powerful.

      I figured out how with help from the forum :), anyone else who needs the info I posted it all on the itrain forum. Thanks

    Hmmm.. I wonder if it would be possible to trick the software by using switch-operated dead sections like we do with analogue control?
    We could have our three locos; 001, 002 and 003 stored in their three sidings.
    Those sidings are live because our switch is flipped to power them.
    With the simple flick of that switch we could take power from those three lines to another three lines that have three more loco's sitting on them, also with the ID's; 001, 002 and 003.
    The control would still send commands to those ID's, but they now operate three different locos.
    Multiple dead sections could be wired up easily.
    Seems do-able in theory but in practice?
    I'd only try that because who really needs 256 locos at 80euro? Most people have less than 20 locos. I'd happily pay for a 'Super-Lite' version that can handle, say, up to 30 locos.

      Yes I believe so, though I don't use iTrain now, I favour TrainController instead.

    Can it run a crossing I made with a crossover and 4 points if so would it be a route or under crossing option

    • @CallingAllStations
      @CallingAllStations  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew Stamp I’m not sure Matthew, I moved onto TrainController. Never got to grips with iTrain

    • @mtty1988
      @mtty1988 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Calling All Stations can what ever u do controls what I asked and how good is it dose it compare to I train can u do a in-depth with that and a comparison

    • @CallingAllStations
      @CallingAllStations  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew Stamp are you talking about a cross over between two lines or a double slip? Either way TrainController can do that yes, if it’s a slip you can set it up as one asset if not you can manage it as individual points. TrainController is great, you need to heck out Ruud Boer’s channel for brilliant in-depth instructions on how to set it up. It’s expensive but it’s far more intuitive to learn I found. I don’t have any plans to do a comparison as I’m in the process of moving house and without my layout for the time being.

    • @mtty1988
      @mtty1988 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Calling All Stations it’s a crossover with points of all side to make it in to a double slip so 2 left hand 2 right hand points attached to a crossover with straight track in between
