96 Seadoo SPX Dual Carb Clean / Rebuild

In this video we will show you in detail the steps to remove and disassemble the two carburetors on a 1996 Seadoo SPX. We will include a few tips that are extremely important to insure you don't accidentally ruin you engine. Does that ski have the DESS kill switch?

No thankGod! The 96 spx is my favorite for several reasons, 1. It was the first year for the short pump as all 95 and prior have about a 2 inch spacer in the pump so the suction hole is further forward. I like the ride a lot better with the jet pickup hole further to the rear. 2 No DESS which makes it more bullet proof and the MPEM is alot cheaper if you have to replace it. 3. The 96 SPX is the 717cc engine which you might think is a disadvantage to the 800 but I feel is make the boat a bit lighter so it has a better jump and pop up. I like to ride with a half full gas tank and no front hatch compartment to keep the ski light.
