Come to Saskatchewan. lol... as big problem is because many Nigerians are always going to the big cities as if Canadians are not there... They want to see the abroad in the abroad by seeing high rise buildings daily without knowing that the more the people the more the challenges are in certain things. Smaller cities are the best. I have never seen a Nigerian in the North territories complaining about Job... instead na job dey carry them go there. The head of Saskatchewan Legal is a Nigerian that is living in a small city in Saskatchewan practising her law... What we don't know is that we dominate well in smaller cities

Well you are spot on with this video but one thing I know that prepared me for this journey was that it’s never a bed or roses even in the Nigerian we are coming from it’s isn’t. Honestly job searching in Canada will test and stretch you I won’t lie I also experienced same and now covid made it worse but one thing I know is that it gets better with time. Landing your dream job upon arrival is not guaranteed but some were lucky to have and others had to wait it out but like I said one thing is for sure is that u will be sorted.

Thing is, it isnt easy anywhere. Getting a job here in Nigeria is much more difficult, even with all your qualifications. I just finished my nysc, and getting an entry level job has been nothing short of hell, during the past 6 months. And when I eventually get called for interviews, they offer peanuts of 30k to 45k monthly(some of which required me to come to work on Saturdays).
So, it's never easy anywhere. Particularly here in Nigeria. That's why I don't blame people who migrate LEGALLY in search of greener pastures. It could never be as bad as it is here.

Earned a sub here 👍🏾. Spot on. I laughed when I heard you say someone applied for about 300 jobs and got 6 interviews. I have applied for over 1000 jobs and have had less than 10 interviews. 😅 Competition is crazy together with the COVID effect. Hi. While I acknowledge the fact that IT IS very tedious landing a professional(or any) job as a new immigrant, I'll want to opine that almost everything in life is now SUPER COMPETITIVE (even immigration). My two cents advice (I've been a recruiter for 15+ years) is for everyone seeking Professional job to give themselves a marginal edge so as to be more marketable. Also, provision of ANY privacy information (especially SIN and DOB) is OPTIONAL. Except you've been hired.

Another fact is that 60% of employers in Canada are Indians and Chinese, they are only hiring their fellow citizens while immigrants are competing for the few jobs available. In the next few years Indians and Chinese will dominate Canada and it will be practically impossible for any immigrants to find job. This is why I encourage people to explore relocating to the USA if possible or start a business in Nigeria and go anywhere in the world for vacation. I currently shuttle BTW Canada and Nigeria for business purposes. Nigeria is a cool place to prosper in business.

So what are you saying that Kenyan's accent is better than Nigerian's, you are talking foolishness, because you don't like it? why would Nigerians care what you like or don't like ?stop putting down people's accents, stop thinking that you are better because honestly you are not,and by the way i am not from the continent of Africa .i think that is ridiculous that people cannot be themselves .nonsense
