I've picked up this the Pegasus 37 Shield, Infinity React 2, Pegasus Trail 2 and Pegasus Trail 2 Gore-Tex man I love all of them the Pegasus 37 and Trail 2 are my favorites.
Did you watch the video. I in no way am downplaying how good the Pegasus is. You should get it. I’m just saying it’s way more cushioned than your average daily trainer and even surpasses the generally high cushion Vomero which changes the Nike lineup. If you were looking for a regular daily trainer, the Winflo still hits that mark a little more accurately.
Not allways. Change is change. Only that. Sometimes changes are good and sometimes are bad. Progression and innovation are not related to changing things. In fact you can see in the different versions of shoes, they change something in let´s say version 2, and after that, they change it again for version 3, meaning that change wasn´t working and wasn´t ood. In industry and engineering there have been a lot of changes that resulted in a complete failure. Changes in situations like this are more related to company strategies (related in the end to money) than with progression. The strategy here is quite clear, Nike wants more profit, as every company in this world wants. For instance, an actual Audi A3 sedan is as big as the first Audi A4 (an Audi A4 now is as big as an Audi A6 was years ago) if you want an Audi A4 now, you have to pay more for it than in the beginning of the model. Right now if you want the original Pegasus feeling... you have to pay more for a similar shoe (call it Pegasus Turbo, or whatever). I have been using Pegasus since the 30th edition, and to me and my feet, this is the worst by far, edition.
I tried both men’s peg37 10.5 and women’s 37 size12. I ordered nikeID for wide width in both men’s and women’s and they are the same for midsole width. I think they just use more materials which makes the upper feel wider. Get the upgraded insole in the women’s size and it’s the best cushion and the right amount of bounce in the zoom pod.
Would have loved to try the women’s version as they have a differently calibrated zoom bag but, being a 12.5 Mens means I have to get a 14 women’s which Nike only does seldom. I tried making my own and didn’t see anything for upgraded insole? Did you mean for the higher arch support? Glad you liked the Peg and I hope the video helped. Appreciate the update my man
i just picked up the Winflo 7 today. this is a great shoe regardless of price. interestingly, if Nike used Cushlon and two Zoom pods in a basketball shoe, it would be a high end signature model. somehow the same tech in a running shoe is considered "budget.."
I still wear my 33's and 35's and Winflo 6 shield's Looking forward to buying the 37's soon and Winflo 7's at some point early next year. Both are great shoes
You literally have both peg34 and vomero14 like me. I was loving vomeros first when I got them (shaved a lot of pb's immediately), but lately I'm more into peg34s... Especially for longer runs, Vomeros are too thin in the toes/midfoot for my taste. But! When I got them, I tried peg36 in the shop and vomeros felt way better. More secure fit, I'm also 200+lbs guy. 37 I have to try. And winflo7... To tell the truth, Pegasus and Vomero, apart from being more expensive than the more "basic" models, for me they feel more durable, which is important especially if you're a big heavy guy, right? Infinity for the longer runs while your still able to use the Pegasus 37. Faster runs the Pegasus will work better and I would say the Infinity is less capable.
Getting mine tomorrow cause I’m over the wobbly feeling in my epic reacts. Plus forefoot protection feels lacking. I’m looking forward to this modern daily trainer. I loved the 35 but they beat my feet.

Winflo 7 feels more like an updated Pegasus if you have used any of the Pegasus line since the 33. More daily trainer. The new Pegasus feels more like an updated Vomero. Lots of cushion and feels great but much more plush with some bounce. Just depends how much cushion you want if that makes sense.
I might wait for the 38. Looking at the heel cushioning, there seems to be a lacking of it in the Peg 37, meanwhile is quite present in the Peg 34. I'm currently still wearing the Peg 34 as a daily trainer atm.
The 38 has the same tooling as the 37 so no real benefit. I would actually recommend checking out the Winflo 7 as the true successor to the Peg line. Especially if you like the 34. The W7 has slightly softer foam and you feel the zoom even more over the 34. The heel cushion of all react is still very plush in the 37 but it’s just a different feeling the zoom.
You mean the Winflo 6. 7 was just released and not available most places. Not sure why the 7 has been slow to launch. Huge difference between 6 and 7. Went from budget model to legit top performer.
The winflo 7 at my local academy sports , I had to 6 last year, it's hard to find a video review for the winflo though so I'm going off my previous experience with the shoe
Vomero 14 vs KD 11. I know both shoes are for completely different purposes. Which feels better cushion wise in your opinion? And also, how does the Jordan 31 Lows stack up against the Vomero 14 cushion wise? I had the 31s Lows and I use it for my daily 5 mile run, and I was wondering if I should upgrade from a amazing basketball shoe to a proper running shoe (Vomero 14, Pegasus 37, Infinity React). Note: I am a 60kg lean male runner haha
I have been using Pegasus since 30th version. To me the best version was 34 and 35, 36 was really good as well. I am completely dissapointed with this new version. The shoe is really noisy, more than previous versions, the lacing system is completely different, and you can change the way of lacing. And for narrow foot you´ll find that there´s a slippery of the feet to the front and heel slippery as well. I found more responsive and lighter the 36 than this version and the zoom capsule maybe works well for people of more than 80kgs but for someone of 70-75kg you can barely feel that zoom capsule. Overall, really dissapointed. I´ve went to Hoka Rincon2 instead.
Great feedback and insight. Sounds like even as I bigger runner I concur what your saying. These feel more like a Vomero and they aren’t nearly as light and quick as what many Pegasus runners are accustomed to. Funny you landed on the Rincon which is one of best shoes I recommend for any runner without knowing any details. It’s light enough, cushioned enough, still fast, that almost anyone can just go for a run and enjoy.
After 100/200 miles the heel will compress more than the forefoot, they should have kept the zoom in rear. The 36 was a better shoe and will last longer. The infinity and epic react wear evenly due to not having zoom in them, look at a pair of reacts that have been used compared to a new pair, over time they compress.
It depends how you run. I am a mid-to-forefoot striker so the soft react heel doesn’t really benefit that kind of runner when running. Casually and walking around, feels great though. Also, at 10mm heel drop, when it does compress, 8 is a little bit more normal so I would contend they will feel better over time and more natural. I wouldn’t say the 36 is better as the 37 is definitely more of a max cushion option so if you prefer more of a faster daily type runner, the 36 is just so different that it will be better for many runners. As I said in the video through, the Winflo7 I think is an excellent true successor. Appreciate the comment my friend

Wussup man. Feels like a Honda Pilot of max cushion shoes. Not quite actually max cushion but definitely more than everyday trainers. I find them just fun and glad I have them but also couldn’t recommend them with what the Peg 37 is doing.

I don't like the look of the 37. They drastically changed it. I'm cool with the react and zoom unit, but it just looks like a Nike shoes I had when I was younger that cost 50 bucks at academy. And the color scheme for this 37 in the video I what reminds me of that 50 dollar shoe. And I know you can customize it with a bigger swoosh and color which helps, but the lace loops, I wish they didn't use what they used for it.
I’m with you bro. They definitely used their resources for tech in the midsole and went cheap on the materials and style. The 38 will most likely use the same tech but look way better as they budget for materials and looks more.
Lol I have the exact same colorway Vomero 14 as you have on the shelf. Now that was a botch job of a shoe and the death of Nikes plush line. But I hear good things about the 15 and that it's going to be plush again with that ZoomX goodness!
The SL20 is the budget fast day minimal cushion trainer. I think for the price it’s good but I would say the Reebok counterpart might be better. The Peg is an almost max cushion daily trainer that still works well at fast speeds. Big difference in cushion setup so depending what your looking for 1 is better. But, as a whole for majority of runners, the Peg 37 will work better
Couldn’t do more than a few minutes before I started running but I’m getting better every week with faster times and increased mileage. Bet I’ll still bust you on the court. I’ll even spot you a few points.
