Everyone will have a different opinion for sure but in my honest opinion the mc9 is a serious contender. I'll have to stack it up against some others but just the time I have with it I was very impressed!
@@22addict40 i have to wait for the defective part come in from my ffl. And see if that the problem and if it fixed the problem. After that if you interested in buy it . I think about 570 I can let go .
Have seen too many having issues with failure to feed & to fully return to battery for my liking. Will wait for a bit longer to give Canik time to hopefully work things out. Curious what ammo you used?

I really loved it (got mine for $399+$20 shipping). However, it was just a bit heavy for a gun that doesn't shoot much softer than my CR920--they're almost exactly the same size guns (somehow the extra 4 ounces is noticeable to me). I DO love the trigger, which is even better than the $290 JG trigger in my CR. I think they're a good value.
Wow that is a good deal!! Yea I'm going to do a comparison between the two here in the next couple of weeks when I get enough rounds through it to have a more solid opinion!
The weight is actually what is keeping me from buying it to add to my Glock 48. I wanted something with a smaller grip/slide, optics ready, and to have a rail. The problem is this is heavier than the shield plus and the glock 48 but also has reliability issues possibly.... Maybe I just need to get a p365..
You guys think that bad . Imagine order the gun online because it hard to find in my area . Your ffl call you that your gun has arrive . Going to pick up the firearm. When you open the box your brand new firearm is problem of the box . (1) do slide does not lock to the rear no Matter what you do. (2) you unscrew the top cover for adding optic and the cover is Almost impossible to get off like it glub. Unless you want to pry it with something and scratch the coating on your brand new firearm. Then you call Canik after 1 hour of waiting for service. You get someone one phone and you explain issues. Then you these are you following option (1) you send the gun in for repair and after between 6 to 8 week for repairs and firearm to be returned to your ffl. (2) represents said that what I told him he seems to be a defective recoiled spring he can have it set to my ffl . Take about 5 to 10 days. (3) buy the part myself out of my pocket and install it myself. This is my 1 st every Canik and from how things are going. It might be my last. Now when the recoil spring arrives and it install hopefully it will work like it was supposed right out the box.
Have same problem I sent message thru there website to send me new recoil spring It’s been a week and a half no reply. In the meantime I took the recoil spring apart and gave it a little heat and popped the end of the spring back in position. It works for now but wouldn’t trust to carry

They will ship it to my ffl and I have my gunsmith install it and look at the gun for any more issues. If it has more issues then it going back for repair. This is ridiculous on a brand new gun .

I’m no gunsmith but that recoil spring doesn’t look quality to me and Im curious to see if the guns that are working for other people will keep working and be reliable. it is definitely disappointing seeing all the positive things people say about Canik and thinking that you’ve made a good choice. This could be just the one and only bad model. Hopefully we can get ours to run right in the long run.

You'll find them cheaper. I picked mine up for $405. However, there are lots of reported issues. Some of the pistols have no issues but others are reporting multiple issues. I was one of the unlucky ones. Canik currently has mine (mag well tightness and frequent return to battery issues) and I am waiting for them to fix it or replace it. From what I heard they are manufacturing these in a new factory and quality control is lacking.
I got mine a few days after they came out. So far it's been good with no issues that others are reporting. I like it and got it for right under 400

I was just using the cheap bucket of bullets for mine and no issues yet!
Yup I have issues literally out the box . I don’t even take it home left it out my ffl . Until a defective part on the gun is replaced.

Ive ran about 300 rounds through mine and have had no issues. Its my edc and im waiting for my red dot to come in so i can put it on
