You did a good job talking about the laptops leo considering you werent allowed to turn them on to look at them - weird setup they had - clearly nvidia told them not to even turn them on. bet that went down well at HQ!
You know what would be sick. You know how they got all these Windows handhelds. They should make some with this design but the handheld powers everything. But, maybe in the future when they get smaller. But having that so you can use the handheld as a laptop would be dope.
New CES reality show idea. A bunch of people at CES doing a shot every time they see a product with AI in the name. Whoever is able to make it around all the booths without dying from alcohol poisoning is the winner
Well that video started off weirdly with a lot of nvidia laptops they had turned off. seems mental - and the prototype laptop, what on earth are the two front flaps for? cooling?
How much is the dualplay laptop? is it going to be released? Leo hinted it might not be released at all. looks class. whats the big bits at the front ? cooling vents or speakers?
That laptop with the controller is a Yes. That thing looks so cool lol.. its 2025 There is plug in everywhere. There are adapters to provide power converters to all vehicles, every wall has 4 outlets.
I like the idea of companies trying different things with laptops, but that controller thing looks hideous slotted into the center point of the laptop. its surely going to compromise the cooling and speaker size etc. What if it breaks? cant even buy one online for it. meh
Indicators on an escooter ? drive one of them in london and you would get kicked off it and robbed of all your belongings as well as losing the scooter itself.
That laptop is certainly bright !, very funky looking - it looks kinda like a steamdeck that slots into the laptop, but how exactly do you use it, a demo would have b een great
Handhelds market is competitive and they launch with 900€ with an old processor AND 50 W battery .... they just threw their oppourtunity. How hard can it be?
Gaming handhelds look pretty impressive. Want to see what Nintendo are going to come up with first before committing.

They are not impressive. They both have 2024 last generation hardware. (old processors and lousy battery life) They are pretty much obsolete before they even go on sale. Not even oled screens.
Ça aurait été une console portable comme je le croyais en début de vidéo qui se dock pour faire un pc pour le retour à l'hôtel ou maison ça aurait été une idée révolutionnaire. Bien que des solutions certes moin portable mais plus proche du pc fix existe également
I said Xbox or Nintendo should do this. Example the xbox or switch lets you insert a controller, or handheld unit into a slot like a disc drive, but obviously the shape of whatever is placed into it and you can leave it in there until u need it, once u remove the device its a portable gaming machine and you should be able to game 720, 60 fps or more ANYWHERE.
What a terrible show from ACER. The all in one monitor thing was cool, very apple imac like, and the prototype - please just keep that a prototype ! what a mess
Imagine if they put in a bigger battery in place of the controller on the laptop, or got a killer set of best in class speakers in there, instead of a weird shaped controller no one will use
A second battery on the front as an additional power supply as long as the laptop is able to use more then 90 watts. Im wondering when we will see a gaming notebook exceeding the current 90w/h battery. With more power supply even greater graphic cards can be integrated. Also the CPU would have an advantage. The question is, do we have the technology to manufacture a laptop exceeding the current battery limit...
Then it'll just be a generic laptop/desktop replacement. If that's all you want, then look elsewhere. The entire point of this is to explore all the limits of this form factor, and I applaud them for it.
Most PC gamers who use controllers are likely to prefer their own gamepads from brands like Razer, Flydigi, Gamesir, and others. I doubt the concept of this prototype laptop will fly.
I have a asus tuf fx504. I bought it thinking I was buying a gaming laptop. Soon I realized that the notion of a gaming laptop is an oxymoron. My laptop sounds like a helicopter is about to land, when I play games on it, and the keyboard becomes burning hot, so I stopped playing games on my laptop 5 years ago. Gaming laptop? Bullshit. If you're going to play games on your PC, a desktop is the only way to go.
graphic cards smaller size, less expensive. run better for high demanding games. max graphics. gaming handhelds look sweet. Are they powerful? 4k at least. what we have at the moment. a PSP large size phone one would be nice that runs windows.
please report spam as soon as you see it, and let us know what you think about the dualplay laptop - would you want one?
I'd buy one used a decade after it launches.
love it
That monitor is literally hiding an entire PC in the stand. Very impressive.
That has been done over a decade ago, and I'm glad to see it make a comeback!
Keep it coming guys I couldnt swing a ticket to ces this year your videos are keeping me going.
good job guys
thanks !
You did a good job talking about the laptops leo considering you werent allowed to turn them on to look at them - weird setup they had - clearly nvidia told them not to even turn them on. bet that went down well at HQ!
Thanks Leo Hope to meet you tomorrow!
Thanks leo !
That DualPlay is what I expect of PS6: Console + Handheld hybrid.
Xbox will be there first
*wii u watching in silenc* @@gphunter99
Not a handheld
Some good laptops at the end, that prototype at the start was interesting, but hideous in equal measure
we need more innovatively ugly stuff tbh
Okay, the Spatiallabs monitor - that's wild, I swear that the image on it looks 3D on my screen. 😲
The first one looks awesome for drones.
I cant wait to see the new RTX going to be fascinating seeing how they have improved the performance per watt.
Acer - shame they didnt show all their monitors - they make some good ones
that prototype laptop is dope. im sure they would make one without the controller as well. It has to be the best laptop i have seen in a long time.
Acer make some good monitors, they never seem to focus on them much at these events for some reason, I thought they just brought out a new OLED too
Not a bad showing
They must be pretty confident in the controller if they're demoing it with SF6.
Shame they couldnt afford some lights for the room
Thanks Leo, not bad, waiting for MSI and gigabyte as I am sure you wont be working with ASUS !
wow love the controller laptop. what a great idea.
You know what would be sick. You know how they got all these Windows handhelds. They should make some with this design but the handheld powers everything. But, maybe in the future when they get smaller. But having that so you can use the handheld as a laptop would be dope.
When will we get to see some reviews on these laptops and benchmarks?
New CES reality show idea. A bunch of people at CES doing a shot every time they see a product with AI in the name. Whoever is able to make it around all the booths without dying from alcohol poisoning is the winner
Well that video started off weirdly with a lot of nvidia laptops they had turned off. seems mental - and the prototype laptop, what on earth are the two front flaps for? cooling?
The RGB on those keyboards is amazing. You are never going to see that sort of thing coming out of apple.
I cant believe we are back at CES again! Where did the year go???
That dualplay controller could contain batteries that power the laptop when docked back in to the laptop.
You doing gigabyte coverage this time?
Was expecting a bit more from Acer this year seems a bit light especially considered to thermaltakes stand.
Didnt they show off those 3d monitors last year? Still havent seen any.
How much is the dualplay laptop? is it going to be released? Leo hinted it might not be released at all. looks class. whats the big bits at the front ? cooling vents or speakers?
Man is roasting Nvidia with a rep on site, I love it.
I think it's a brilliant start, many disturbed people would try to cancel this instead of realizing it's innovation leads to perfection.
Acer going all in on gaming stuff this year.
So that laptop has got oyster shells in the laptop lid? Interesting.
That laptop with the controller is a Yes. That thing looks so cool lol.. its 2025 There is plug in everywhere. There are adapters to provide power converters to all vehicles, every wall has 4 outlets.
need to turn your brightness up a little manually when not lookin at the monitors - use exposure compensation - very dark
I like the idea of companies trying different things with laptops, but that controller thing looks hideous slotted into the center point of the laptop. its surely going to compromise the cooling and speaker size etc. What if it breaks? cant even buy one online for it. meh
What does the controller do? does it double up like an xbox controller for gaming? not sure i get it.
Indicators on an escooter ? drive one of them in london and you would get kicked off it and robbed of all your belongings as well as losing the scooter itself.
Better bring your usual controller
Damn, did they abandoned the Acer Nitro AI 14 lineups?
That laptop is certainly bright !, very funky looking - it looks kinda like a steamdeck that slots into the laptop, but how exactly do you use it, a demo would have b een great
Can you cant ever turn up to the office with that thing!
Thank goodness some of these laptops.have got AI in them.
Love how they have a pair of e-scooters sitting there with no option to actually try them.
Could jump on one but probably going to crash in to some laptops
How does Leo manage to keep breaking the display models?
I love that gaming laptop.
Why has it taken so long for that 3d monitor to come to market?
OneXPlayer has 11" tablet with controllers on the sides.
I like the laptops at the end, and the all in one system
Would like to see any new spatial labs edition laptops
Wifi 7 dongle - is that their best hardware to show?
Acer always have a good stand at CES.
Maybe if they added a screen to the gamepad so it becomes a steam deck when I take it out, i will consider it. Till then happy experimenting.
Good one 👍
Handhelds market is competitive and they launch with 900€ with an old processor AND 50 W battery .... they just threw their oppourtunity. How hard can it be?
So those laptops have actual 50 series RTX In them but you aren't even allowed to see anything on the screen?
Well thats what they say...
Is everybody waiting for the OK to show off the rtx 50 series or something?
I want one of those scooters!
He is an expert and I am an idiot? Leo its a girl ! check for an adams apple ! the nails are too nice !
Gaming handhelds look pretty impressive. Want to see what Nintendo are going to come up with first before committing.
They are not impressive. They both have 2024 last generation hardware. (old processors and lousy battery life) They are pretty much obsolete before they even go on sale. Not even oled screens.
Id love to see that spatial labs thing in real life - doesnt work on a 2d monitor over here sadly
I really want to see one of those things. 3d glasses were stupid but auto stereoscopic would be really cool.
Is mat just holding the camera?
Ça aurait été une console portable comme je le croyais en début de vidéo qui se dock pour faire un pc pour le retour à l'hôtel ou maison ça aurait été une idée révolutionnaire.
Bien que des solutions certes moin portable mais plus proche du pc fix existe également
Copilot Is why I am not upgrading from windows 10 to 11.
@@Taseduhi I removed it with debloat software
So I'm just taking a wild guess but is this a gaming laptop by any chance?
I reckon you might be right.
was that really a dude helping with the dual play? had longer finger nails than my sister - pretty cool looking laptop
laptops we can’t see, escooters for girls and stuff that doesnt work - nice acer !
I can hear the laptop design screaming "I'M A GAAAMMMIIIIING LAAAAPTOOOOOP:.
Anyone remember when razer had a prototype of this with the razer phone 1? Just me then, huh?
Some nice laptops at the end, shame you couldnt talk about the 5000 series on some level, nvidia dictating the rules I see - even doing spot checks !
Nvidia managed to have put everyone under NDA it seems.
Liking those mini PCs running Intel ARC. They could easily compete with Mac mini.
@@ArjunaBandyopadhyay438 a $100 mini pc can compete, lol
That dualplay thing is very innovative but it's a bit too much for me. Does solve the problem of where to put a controller though.
The handhelds look good - what was the GPU beside them 09:45 ??
Their laptops are good, had one for a few years and its worked well. Now I say that I will get home and it will not boot anymore
A laptop with love handles. I can relate. 🤐
I can't imagine that it will cost an arm and 2 leg.
I said Xbox or Nintendo should do this. Ngl the dual play thing is kinda cool. Too bad that feature would be a $500 markup.
What a terrible show from ACER. The all in one monitor thing was cool, very apple imac like, and the prototype - please just keep that a prototype ! what a mess
MINI pC S"BIG" FAN !
4:48 cool interface on the trackpad !
That does look really cool.
So i guess I have less space for battery
Imagine if they put in a bigger battery in place of the controller on the laptop, or got a killer set of best in class speakers in there, instead of a weird shaped controller no one will use
i think laptop makers do not want to exceed the limit set by airlines.

0:51 give him my number, his hands are nicer than my girlfriends.
NVIDIA not allowing reviews seems a bit fishy, ppl will notice something down the line??
nice gimmick from ACER - is that really the place for a battery? why put that in there then instead of a big battery - for a talking point I suppose.
Most PC gamers who use controllers are likely to prefer their own gamepads from brands like Razer, Flydigi, Gamesir, and others. I doubt the concept of this prototype laptop will fly.
Why is that mobile hotspot so big? I mean an iPhone can be a 5g hotspot without breaking sweat.. And it doesnt need to be the size of a brick!
Difficult to tell but it might have a physical rj45 port on it which is quite chunky.
I have a asus tuf fx504. I bought it thinking I was buying a gaming laptop. Soon I realized that the notion of a gaming laptop is an oxymoron. Acer - I like them, good video thanks leo
No triggers or shoulder buttons is wack, the controller is pretty useless and looks uncomfortable to hold
Lovely job guys
graphic cards smaller size, less expensive. run better for high demanding games. max graphics.
gaming handhelds look sweet. Are they powerful? 4k at least. what we have at the moment. a PSP large size phone one would be nice that runs windows.
escooters are cool. for old women
Hope they release the dualplay - funny seeing a lenovo ad in this video too
it would be even cooler if I could place my phone in the controller and use it as a gaming controller for my phone as well.
missed opportunity imo.
If nvidia are truly bringing out the next generation gpu this year I really wouldnt want to be selling intel or radeon gpus right now.
Those 50 series laptops are going to be so expensive. Really looking forward to buying one in about 5 years.
