Last year I was in Utah about 50 miles from lagoon. I looked out the window and saw the tower for cannibal. I was like...Mother of God.....(removed sunglasses)

I live in Utah, so my school always takes the students there and my friends made me get on cannibal and when the elevator got to the top I wanted to yell so badly to get me off the ride! As soon as it goes you're already hanging off the seat because of that flippen angle

I rode this yesterday for the first time and the double twists at the end made me and my friend black out for a second. It's an intense ride!

Everyone I have talked to who has been on this ride said they have blacked out towards the end... that is so weird.

I've been on it a total of 5 times now and I freaking love this ride!!!
Though, I have blacked out every time I've ridden it, but only one of those times was because I was hyperventilating because the first drop scared me so much and I have a fear of heights.

@@joeyholskey706 definitely. This is a really safe ride and it seems scary when your going up the elevator but after you drop you realize how much fun it is. Super smooth ride. I was the kid that was super scared of roller coasters then I went on cannibal a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun
@@joeyholskey706 I felt more secure on Wicked. Cannibal there was a moment I felt like I almost slipped out of the seat so I don't know that I'll want to ride it again. If it wasn't for that I'd like it. I can't even imagine little kids fitting well even with boosters or whatever they use!

The ride is very smooth, very intense, good theming, and just isn't one of does "the drop is everything" coasters, it's incredible even after it. I also personally love the elevator. It feels thrilling and great, as the car/track sways a little bit

Coaster Hero Thank you! I had to actually ride it twice because the first one wasnt good enough. I don't just do a video to do it. I have to have it to my linking and if something is not right or I dont like it I redo it. I want to continue to make quality videos not just get a video to get it and upload it.
Also it just had opened today. There was a Big delay on opening and for a week they had been testing with employees and city officials.

This ride is insane!! The lagoon roll, the overbank turn, the helix at the end that makes you grey out just a bit before you hit the break run, I marathon this ride, it’s one of the best roller coasters I have ever ridden, highly recommend if you ever get the chance, you won’t regret it.
This ride is INSANE! I went with my friends and we all screamed like little girls, lol. The only bad thing about it is the drop, other than that, it's cool.
That drop nearly made me pass out watching the part

The best part of this ride is that it is legitimately so smooth and easy to ride. The other rides at Lagoon can sometimes make me motion sick with how rattly and rough they feel but I can ride this one over and over again with nothing. Easily the best ride at Lagoon.

Just rode this insane roller coaster today! This was probably my most favorite ride at Lagoon now but my god, the line for this ride was extremely long.... totally worth it though. I would kill to bring a GoPro on this ride XD.

My grandkids went on Thursday and said it was awesome. They had the best time ever. The line was so long . they rode on the cannibal. It was awesome.

The line was really long. It went all the way to the sling shot thing. But it only took 20-30 minutes.

I went on Cannibal last night and it was amazing! I thought I would never ride it! This ride was way different than the POV. I went on it a night time and they were play a video in the elevator. You should do a night POV of this ride!
Great POV - and well done for making it clear about getting permission to film from the park (they helped me with permission on my visit there last year) - one question: is there lots of hang time on that section 2:21 to 2:29 - certainly looks interesting / unusual :-)
***** Heck yeah there is! When you hit that part, the only thing holding you in place is the restraint ( which is like 10/10 when it comes to security and comfort), and it's the same thing on the first drop. It's freaking awesome!!

i thank you for putting this on youtube because i have been waiting forever for it to open and i had just found out then watched this video and i also watched longest line ever for the cannibal! great day to ride any other ride at lagoon i thought that the wicked was crazy and put lagoon on the map but i was wrong cannibal will and it will be hard to top!!!!!!!
Ahhh I was at Lagoon just two days ago and I really wanted to go on Cannibal but nobody else in my group wanted to at all and there was no way I was doing it alone.

Awesome ride! That elevator lift with the pulsating percussion just gets your heart racing! And the line moves really quickly. The longest wait time I had was an hour and a half and the shortest wait time was 30 minutes. So worth it!

When I went there the first loop when you come down the ramp was shaking back and fourth and they had to shut down the ride

It was on Fright-mares we were in the line and we could see the bar shaking, My family and I thought it might be the repeated goings of the roller coaster?
Roller coasters always have to shake a little but I hope it didn't shake too much.

It was most likely shaking from the G-Forces the train was producing as it went on the track. This is completely normal. If the supports / track didn't wobble a little the ride would break. It was most likely closed down due to maintenance just like any other coaster would at any certain time of day.
Cannibal was a great ride! I remember when I went to lagoon, and that was a fun ride in general.

I've been on it. Yes it is awesome. The best part is right at the start. They give you a solid 20-30 seconds to look at how high up you are before you start the ride. I waited in line for 2 hours to go on it and can't wait to go again.

Oh my gosh. SO GOOD.
I went on this ride more than 7 times, it was an AMAZING ride. One tip is to go to Lagoon at night before the park closes (You beat the lines and there are lights everywhere) the ride goes SUPER fast!!!!
Best roller coaster I ever rode
Went on this last Saturday. In person, the ride itself dwarfs the previous largest one, the Wicked by at least a hundred feet. Me and my buddy were lucky to grab some of the last rides of the day, so the line wasn't too long, so it didn't take too long. One of the attendants actually recognized us going on it the second time and we talked with him for a bit. I was smart and grabbed a jacket with zip-up pockets, so me and my friend could take our phones on some of the crazy rides that went upside down, including this one. It was both of our first time, but we didn't get the front row. We got the back. All in all, for a rollercoaster junkie like me, it was a really fun ride.

One of the best rollercoasters that I have ever ridden on. I live in LA and am a SFMM regular and big coaster fan. Been to Cedar Point and several othter parks as well. Lagoon has a winner with this one. It ranks right up there in my top 5 coasters anywhere.

Rode this a few days ago. It was absolutely terrifying. The POV camera doesn't do that first drop justice. I was seriously about to pee my pants. It's the lap restraints that make it feel so thrilling, it doesn't have those typical chest restraints. It's so scary...

I rode this beauty of engineering yesterday............It was awesome. Something to note that wasn't shown in the photo is that the elevator shaft (you can see a security camera with it's infrared lights on at this point) has two separate elevator tracks, one going up while the other goes down. Edit: time stamp of the camera is 1:01

+TheBennychin he's right though, compared to most theme parks in the us who's average roller coasters are over 100 feet lagoon doesnt have much to offer in terms of thrill coasters besides wicked. personally I don't mind the park I think it's really fun but also compared to most theme parks out of state lagoon is very mild.
+Nick Martini That idea is uneducated. Roller Coasters don't make a park completely. Flat rides do as well, as Lagoon has more than most parks out there. Quite a few you can't see at other parks as they are classic rides other parks didn't want to upkeep, or the case of Samurai being the only one in the U.S. Aother is complete atmosphere, which many big parks have been falling into the idea that a slab of concrete is good enough with not a lot of foliage. Cannibal and Wicked have been considered great roller coasters among all other thrill coasters, as well as Colossus, as it's a classic coaster that many like to see around, as it's also a thrill. That does include Jet Star 2, and Roller Coaster, to a lesser extent. Spider was added as the next step up from smaller coasters for families, and Wild Mouse returned as steel for the guests who still wanted Wild Mouse around, but the wooden Wild Mouse could not be saved with the current technology at the time. Basically, everything Lagoon has done has been for the customers, reason why Lagoon added Cannibal in the first place. Now we wait for what's next, which will take a while as they don't have the big crowds that the bigger parks have, only because it's in Utah.

rcfreakeagle you don't have to get so offended because your insecure about your theme park, i didn't say its a bad park i said its nothing compared to parks that keep modern and exciting, lagoon has stayed relatively the same since the 70s with the addition of like 3 rides and other than that its still insanely small with limited things to do, you can ride all the coasters there in an hour and then get bored.

We only live 5 minutes from Lagoon, so we go all the time, but our kids don't dare go on this ride! I love riding on the single rider line when I get a chance.
My favorite part about that ride was the "TAA" thing right as you go into that tunnel but they removed it for some reason.
I love this ride so much. Glad that Lagoon stepped it up a bit. Ever since Wicked was put in in 2007, I'd been waiting for another awesome ride, but we got Odyssea and Bombora. Both are good rides, don't get me wrong, but they're not thrilling or anything.
Me and my family saw the Sanibel tower driving in the parking lot and were like ok thats off the list of roles coasters were doing
I went on this ride the day before yesterday and let me tell you I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE BOSS MUSIC ON THE ELEVATOR!!!
Rode this ride yesterday! It wasn't the elevator rising that scared me, it was the little lap security so you don't come flying out, I thought it wasn't enough. Definitely recommend going to see the ride for yourself because video doesn't do it justice!
I rode this on 8/24. It was running all day with a few short delays between cars on occasion. The one thing I noticed is this video does NOT do the first inverted drop justice. From the camera it just looks like a vertical drop, but the inverted drop is intense!
First time on this , I had front row...I was petrified afterwards, and Rattlesnake Rapids and Cannibal are now my favorite rides.
This is the craziest ride ever! I went on it yesterday and nearly had a panic attack beforehand, but then loved it. :D
