when people say he cried too much.. it just angers me because his emotion comes from deep inside him and everything he's been through. you can tell hes not doing it for sympathy but because he doesn't wanna let himself down. at that point, singing was all he had, it probably killed him to know his dream came to an end before he could show the world just how amazingly talented he is. if you listen to his music now, you can hear the emotion and pureness in his voice. its beautiful. hes beautiful. Josiah, keep on going.
josiah has an album out now and its amazing so happy ever ending.
Failing on idol is not the end of the road for this kid. After hearing his originals I am certain he is destined for stardom. He is a highly emotional character and that comes across in every song he performs. I think over the coming year he will make a mockery of the idol judges and be world famous

Shit .. I missed his dismissal last season. I didn't know it was that bad. I was pissed, I loved him. So, so much. He deserved to go all the way.

He was one of the only people I liked this season. When he did Grace Kelly I was blown away. This audition wasn't great, but I thought for sure he would have made it through. Seems like a nice kid, I feel sorry for him.

@crazymoira I opened for him one night on Ukulele, He did a free show where the local morriston musicians play and I was one of the lucky ones that got to play infront of him. It was such an honor! (plus it's awesome cause he's from my home town too haha)
i think they're dumb to think that was a bad performance.. i LOVE this side of josiah. this is who he is , and i would never want him to change.

I was surprised to read that Simon wanted him to continue but Randy and Paula did not. I didn't get that impression from watching this.

I think the judges were out of their minds when they passed on him. He was a lot better than most of the other guys. What is the matter that he cries? He is such a sensitive person and he has been through alot. I think he should have been given a chance.

As young as some of these people are, and as vulnerable as they are, it does take guts to get up there and show what you've got. It's true, he should be stronger, but it's all a learning process. It's pretty ignorant to make fun of his emotionality.

I'm a fan of his b/c i can relate to him on many levels especially with music. I'm glad he didn't pass on and more so win b/c let's face the facts. He's too good for this crap they call a show, chances are if he won he would be turned into a crappy "pop" star, and lastly Idol winners never get huge anyway!! The exception of Kelly Clarkson...the runner ups & people who lost actually go further if we wanna be truthful here..

Josiah Isnt a Crybaby AT ALL! He's Just Super-Mega Emotional, Why You Think He Does So Well In Concerts And Live Performances?
To all these ppl talking about his accent, I dated a guy from Tennessee and their accents are so thick in some parts of Tenn that they do sound British. As for the copying insults, he sang an original song in his first audition so it's obvious from the get go he can sing more than British artists. Stand By Me is by Ben E. King, not a British dude. He's a songwriter, a quite good one at that. If it's not your cup of tea that's fine. Music is subjective, but let's do some fact checking and a bit objective analysis. I don't personally care for country music, but I can recognize and appreciate talent, musicianship, and songwriting ability.
JOSIAH IS WAYYYYY BETTER THAN IDOL.
This was so painful to watch because he was one of the best contestants, and I know that he's a lot better than this. He was just unprepared and.....just not ready!
you shouldnt say that, because if oyu think about it, David Archuleta got really far in A.I and he was only 17 years old. So saying that the competition is way too seriouse for a guy his age is just saying that there was no point for David Archuleta to have been trying out the A.I . David Archuleta might not have won but he was still also a kid, in-fact he was younger the Josiah... so what u said was wrong

All of them did, watch the part where he sings the 1st song "Stand By Me" and then Simon decides to talk shit to him, as well as Randy, Paula tries to make it seem like she isn't but she is.

Man I liked his version. That performance had actual spunk. Of course Randy and Simon wouldn't know considering all they do is make money off judging people, and Paula lost her career back in the 80s. They all sold their souls and then talked down to this guy like he's garbage. I'm glad they did this cause otherwise he wouldn't be where he is now.
HE has a record deal and has done the talk show circuit. Ellen Degeneres gave him free studio equipment. He'll find success.

Sure, that's exactly what I'm saying. It all takes guts to possibly make a fool of yourself on a national broadcast. In that regard, it's hard to make fun of someone who does show what they've got. Some people deal with emotional damage differently than others, that's all.
I guess he is not afraid to show emotion. He is also not afraid to go after his dream. What's wrong with that ?
