Brendon, thanks for this. A little while ago, I came up with a technique where I play the same (for example) root position add 2 chords in both hands. C-D-E-G for example. By dropping the thumb (root)by either one or two notes (depending on whether it's a major or dominant 7) and removing the second to last finger (5th), I can get a very nice sounding drop-2 like chord (7/9) which is very easy to alter and is easy to play on the fly. The left hand can quickly be adjusted to create shells. Also, by understanding that the root is dropped to a 7 and the top 5th is eliminated, the theory can be applied to different shaped voicings.
What are your thoughts on this?
    Really enjoying your channel!
    Best regards.

Hi @Braaidude: That’s not how I process it. But if it works for you, then great! -Bijan

So all I play is solo. How do I incorporate this into my playing?

This is truly helpful. The 1-7 1-3 swaps on the left hand are a pattern-matching Rosetta stone to those drop 2's. They never made stuck until now. Thanks.

Why do you get these horrible foreign comments? Nothing to do with podcast.
