The Little Bighorn battlefield is on the Crow reservation. It's an amazing place, and I highly recommend visiting it.

I am getting the chills watching this video. What comes to my mind when watching the this short documentary is that Chief Medicine Crow was our living connection to the past. It is amazing to realize how much of the world had gone by during his life time.

The Cherokee and Crow languages, while completely different, have a common ancestor language. It's like a non English speaker saying a German's accent in English sounds like a northern Scottish dialect. Both are harsh but they're distantly related.

I had the great honour to visit Joseph Medicine Crow at his home in Lodge Grass MT in September 1994. It was really nice to listen to his Storys. I am from Germany, where he was fighting in WW II.

Wasn’t that long ago there were still survivors around that fought in the LBH 1930s/40s. Many Sioux and Cheyenne were in there teens when they fought. I have snapshots from the 1920s taken on the Crow reservation of Curly and others. Hell-There were still a few Civil war survivors in 1930s that were in 4th of july & Memorial Day parades. The best accounts of the LBH Battle are from Cheyenne and Sioux that lived it.

@sk8RAS & fabez88..WTH..our N8tiv Nations fought against each other even before the white man even landed on our shores..as N8tiv people we are taught that we are all connected..ALL RELATIONS..those were the sins of our ancestors & have nothing at all to do with what & who we are today as a people. Joe was a true Warrior who served in WWII in the Army. I am Koyukon Athabascan & 12yr Marine Corps Veteran..also come from a long line of Vets..you need to show some respect for our Elders.
