Groove Theory. Simply put, two brightly shining stars aligned for a short time, made some magic, then parted ways. Bryce & Amel, both incredibly talented, I'm just thankful for the music they got to make. I never really enjoyed Amel's solo music as much, post Groove Theory, which is a shame.

I reached out to her more than 2 years ago before I got Bryce on the show. She has gone underground and doesn't do interviews

She actually did do an interview where she answered all these same question's and told her side of the story of what led to the split of her and Bryce and Groove Theory.....she also told about him introducing her to her husband and her being more focused on raising her family as a priority over the music after she got married and had her daughter.
I love her music so much I actually named my own daughter after her....my daughter's middle name is Amel. 🥰
I can't remember where exactly on TH-cam I saw that interview with her now because it was several years ago.....but I'm sure it's still on. TH-cam somewhere....you know things in the internet never die....so if I find it again I'll come back here and drop the link to it for you.
I'm confused though....cause I could've swore I remember hearing somewhere a while ago that Amel and Bryce were cousin's. 🤔

Here's the link to the interview with Amel I was referring to above....there are other interview's on here with her too....but this is the one I was specifically referring to where she discuss her side of the Groove Theory break up and split between her and Bryce.
*Edit: My apology....I went back and watched it after I shared the link here for you....and I realized that's not the right one....I'll have to keep digging and if I find it I'll come back and share the link again to the correct one. Again....my apology.

Their chemistry was off in the music video. I remember their interviews and it was the Diana Ross syndrome Like Beyonce in Destiny's Child. Americans hate dark skin and push forward light skin women in music that's why Lauren Hill exposed the music industry in do whoop that thing.
To be honest we don't care about being nice about someone trying to steal an up an comming black genius music and use it for her solo album. she was not all that and her attitude showed in the music video too. I can sing better than her any day of the week. I'm glad the truth is out. stop violating young black men in the music industry. it took him over 25 years to tell us the truth about shadism and sexism against black men in the music industry. this is wrong and happens in corporate britian. Protect black men!

If they decided to go 50/50, she owed him $30K. He had already spent $60K to keep them afloat before getting a deal.

Facts! AND, she did what she was supposed to do…had a lawyer present. It’s always the “cool” ones who will screw you. It’s nothing personal. It’s business. Nnamdi should be up there with Vlad as far as subscribers! He always uncovers facts that were unknown.

Incorrect.....he had already spent the 60k....he presented a deal, she "bucked" and said no...and says i want 50/50 on how we get paid, not money already spent....she did not negotiate a split on the 60.....she shocked him with the 50/50 and did not negotiate the 60k split for an undisclosed reason. Lets keep it funky...she felt damn good about that 50/50 split and was more than satisfied.

@@t.wynderogriffin798 she was being a typical woman and thinking its 50/50 when its nowhere near that and we as men are the ones footing the bill. Its like when u go on dates and the man pays for everything. Then suddenly u split ONE meal 50/50 or even just ask her to pay the tip while u pay the bill. And this chick always brings up that ONE meal like she did something. So many women are selfish and just stupid. And cant do basic math. They wanna take trips and spend the man’s money. Or use a studio and somehow think its supposed to be free for them. Make up artists. Video shoots. These women want it all to be free!

So i mean if he was a producer then do like Teddy and Dre find someone else and make another hit because last i heard one situation don't knock the hustle but i respect his position and when your young finally get it right and it still goes bad that's a hurt piece😔

Damn. Looks are deceiving. They say, the only friend u have in the business is God. U do ur own 50/50. Then she go left with a solo deal. Wow, the album was done over a year. That was blindsided. Him having to get someone else to sing her songs, & she’s okay with it?. It is weird. The album leaked out within the industry, but not on the streets. Crazy!

Its crazy cause i never thought that the groove theory break up would turn into both dividing from each other cause they both was dope.and its sad cause i feel for bryce.for him to look out for amel then finding out she didnt reciprocate the same energy on her part its messed up.i dont know if we ever going to get amel's side so we can put two in two but i hope one day we can see them patch it up i mean if new edition can do it through all their differences i believe groove theory can too.
