    Why does no one use the nylon ripcord to make sure no pairs were nicked/shorted while stripping the plastic jacket

      Well, it's a good way. The ripcord is designed to strip the insulation, but it can be difficult for some novices. A mini wire stripper is a great tool for successful stripping, suitable for everyone.😀
