I own the SuperSport (teal dial), a real supercompressor (not a 2-crown look-a-like). Excellent watch from a great, family-owned small watch business. They care about their customers, often ask for new watch model design input.
Thank you very much for this great review Dave! I am very glad that you fell in love with the DiveSport Titanium and I am impressed by your eye for detail and the ability to capture it in the video (in stunning resolution). The DiveSport Titanium is a real tool (watch), built for real diving, that is what it represents and the measures are supporting this. It is solid and visible. You summarized it perfectly. By the way the caseback shows raw titanium, called a titanium sponge. All the best Cornelius
@@MichaelSeibold1sometimes the timing is just off, that’s all. When we started creating this watch 2 years ago, those claps weren’t that easily available as today. Unfortunately now the construction of the bracelet needs to be changed in order to fit an extension clasp, so we cannot just swap it or add it as an upgrade…
I just pulled the trigger on a Madame Jeanette. I am more excited about getting this than I've been for watches I paid 3x for. Something about the aesthetic just screams at me. I understand that beauty is subjective, but to me this is perfect. Prior to seeing this, I had my heart set on a Sinn U50. Not anymore. I think that Circula may be an understated, German version of CW. This quality for this price is insane.
It’s a great looking watch! And I think the price is right on for the specs. I also like how you can mix and match the dial and bezel colors to how you want it. Thanks for the great review!
My watch collection tends to skew higher than the Circula price range. That being said, the Circula watch is one of the very finest watches in my collection. I own the yellow field watch that Circula makes. It is an absolute beast. These are all original designs, and they are not a fashion watches but they are genuine tool watches. I own several Sinn and Fortis and Tudors, that being said, the Circula is getting more wrist time.
I own the Protrail in black and I love the watch. I also had the pleasure of meeting Cornelius from Circula in Austin, Texas back in November at the Intersect watch show. He's a really nice guy and I even got to see and hold the watch that started it all for them.
Thank you for the detailed review of this watch. This was the other video that helped me go for this watch and I am so glad I did. Finally I have got the perfect watch that I always wished for. 😊👍
Please have a look at another brand from the same German town Pforzheim: Archimede. The Ickler case company which is owned by the same family owners even make their own cases (and do so for many other watches)
Circula make awesome watches, got the protrail myself and had hands on with other models, attention to detail and quality shine through. Thanks for showing their new diver, a great reveiw.
I have the Aquasport 2, great watch, best lume of all my watches (inc Rolex, Omega, Seiko, Sinn, etc) which is visible in half light at dawn. Service is excellent.
First😊 I completely agree with you. When I looked initially, I wasn't super impressed. But, looking at the specs and quality finishes, my mind started to change. It's a purpose built tool watch in my opinion, which is great. Thanks for sharing this one Dave!
I really like this, it’s like Sinn and Helm had a baby. As much as I like this piece, and although it seems like a very solid value, I do think it might have worked better with a 22mm lug width. Anyway, good review and thank you for the intro to a new (for me) brand.
Am i weird for not wanting a Titanium watch because i feel like having a lighter watch makes it seem cheaper or lower quality/not as tough. I know thats not true but i like feeling the heft of a watch on my wrist personally
I like the look of the watch and it does seem very well made. I hope they do a slightly smaller still titanium version, even if it has less WR. So many brands when they make a titanium dive watch up the size & WR so that it is close to the same weight as a smaller SS diver. After all, no one needs 500m of WR, even saturation divers. Its more about specs.
This looks quite well balanced and well put together. It reminds me somehow of RZE and Boldr with it's angled case. Regarding thickness and water resistance, I'm still impressed with Squale's 50 atmos 1521 that is only 12.5mm thick.
I had a browse on their website and found there are 3 bezel options - i like the plain titanium bezel. Although I don't think its overly pricey for the spec I'd happily spec a diver with a Seiko NH movement as I guess the SW200 elabore is several hundred $ more expensive.
Great looking diver and a brand I had never known until your review. Question: do you think that watches can be over spec'd? Like with this watch, is the WR rating really practical?
Oh totally. There's absolutely no practical reason to have 500M of WR on a watch (unless you're a professional saturation diver). But the same can be said for an automatic movement, given that quartz movements have pretty much surpassed them in every practical way. Things like these are more to highlight the quality of the manufacturing and engineering that goes into producing something that can withstand that amount of pressure. Like a mechanical movement it has a strong emotional draw and gives you a cool story you can tell to others about the watch. And there is a level of confidence knowing there's no way you'll ever have problems with water getting into the watch.
As someone who was born and raised in Germany, I can tell you firsthand that the stereotype of 'German precision' is outdated. While it might have held some truth in the past, the reality today is much different. Trains aren't always on time, and not everything is manufactured with meticulous accuracy. It's important not to rely on outdated generalizations when thinking about modern Germany. Love your channel!
beautiful watch...i think if the case was a little bit thinner id buy one,,,my wrist arent that big so a thick watch looks kind of odd on me,but other then that its gorgeous and id buy one..
It's not a bad looking watch. I absolutely love Titanium, it's my favorite watch material. Unfortunately at this price, I don't like it enough to buy one.
i know your all about affordable watches specifically in Asia, would you be able to review an Argos apollo from India? or watches from lesser known countries
A Good option over the Certina DS Diver. However, 14mm thickness is chucky ( due to WR500m trade off) and almost the same as some chronographs.... Titanium is 30% lighter but at times, it may wear likes a 'toy".. The lume is great for this watch but the pricing position of $1G, will sway buyers to opt for other options. I own a U.G and a G.O , excellent built and underated in the watch world. A promotion code for new product launch price will be enticing for buyers! * Reduced the WR to 100-200m so the thickness can be reduced!
I think the quality is good and price reasonable for the quality but wouldn't buy one due to thickness and unnecessary 500m rating. That's why I like the CW Trident Pro 300 for its slimness and quality over the earlier Trident Pro 600.
I already know this brand... it’s a perfect diving watch for me! The design and specifications speak for "itself", and make it the perfect diving watch-tool. The two lume tones separate the minute ans second hands and the bezel which are essential for diving and the rest of the clock which is less essential, even useless... This watch does not invent anything, does not revolutionize anything, but every part of this watch was thought for only one thing... diving. This Circula outdate pseudo luxury diving watches that live on their achievements and do nothing new for 40 years, apart from changing the color of the dial...folow my sight 👑& Ω ..
Japan watches are ahead of Germany??? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! 40 years a.collector and 20 as an NAWCC member. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about!
Interesting. I got an “original” San Martin recently to see what all the fuss was about. The movement loses 15 seconds a day, the bezel is misaligned, and the indices are badly finished. Yeah, it was cheap, but a total waste of money. All of my Seiko’s perform and look better than this watch.
Good luck to the company but I'm afraid this is a no from me. Graceless and bulky. Guess it will appeal to young men looking for the Transformers look.
So you missed the lug to lug measurement, much more telling of how a watch wears on wrist. There are 42mm watches that look and wear smaller than a 40mm.
@@jrgdrumsandwatches Regarding the lug to lug argument - something that a lot of people in the watch community regurgitates - is not accepted by me and others. I've been in this hobby for well over 10 years. I understand the lug-to-lug argument. And I understand that works for you and others, but not for me and everyone else. All dimensions are equally important to me; and a lug-to-lug measurement doesn't negate a width I consider too large. I know better than to consider something over 40mm through experience. With that said, I understand not all dive watches can be skin divers. There people with larger wrists than mine that simply enjoy larger watches than I do, and that's fine.
@@RabbitWatchShop No problem with that, I collect watches for 20 years now and I had the same under 40mm rule but changed my mind after wearing several 41/42mm watches that wear and look smaller on wrist. I get your point, at the end it's your wrist, your watch, your opinion 👍

Nice watch, but a proper diver's watch also needs a clasp that can be used with a wetsuit. No thought was put into this or unnecessary savings made.
