There might be quite a few ships coming to Invictus this year with a lot of work on some RSi ships nearing completion. What ships do you think will drop during Fleet Week?
There needs to be AI Medical Missions so people that are into medical game play can constantly have things to do. Rescuing targets before their killed would be amazing game play.
Agreed. It would be super useful if AI medical missions were in and beacons were made better than they are. There needs to be a player to player reputation ship
Medical will needs its own large patch just like cargo. Until all of squadron features are in the PU. All of the cargo updates. And probably bounty hunter 2.0 I wouldn’t expect a ton of medical changes. They will probably drop feed some stuff here and there though. I’d say no early than a year. Probably 2 years
I know people that absolutely love it. They just never use it due to its.... Bugs. Hopefully they visit that ship again soon and bring it up to par. It is a cool ship.
I really hope it’s not only as good as it looks in concept but that it flies nice as well, doesn’t have to the fastest, most manoeuvrable ship out there, just comfortable and easy to fly is all I ask. I bought all three as my first concept buys so fingers crossed.
Tension pneumothorax. Holy cow. That's a phrase I haven't heard since my combat medevac days. Bravo. And yeah, I hope we actually get such detailed injuries.
I am very curious and anxious about the mystery ship silhouette shown after Argo ship. I think its a small do it all Anvil ship and will be the Avenger competition, a mini carrack.
A thing that could incentivise ground vehicles is adding missile silos to higher level ground missions that can target ships from a further distance. That way you either have to bomb the location or invest in a ground vehicle to drive to the facility.
I always thought, from a gameplay standpoint, giving a 5-min timer to the medpen‘s 100%-effect would still make it valuable in fight while at the same time incentivizing players to use whatever detailed medical gameplay a medic can provide.
I really hope that we get the Polaris with ILW. The fact that it was completing greybox and beginning LOD0 in the February monthly report, and then not mentioned in the March monthly report makes me hope that there's a big standalone announcement coming for it.
For Invictus I expect the Mirai Guardian for sure, it's a military expo. This will be the main ticket item. It's STF and likely flashy as fuck so it's going to attract money. I'd expect a bomber and heavy fighter variant...MAYBE a racer but it looks too large. There was a Cutty sized Anvil/RSI ship shown at last citizencon that I think may be another vehicle we see here. If not here, it will be an RSI ship at Citizencon/IAE as the "cutty tier" option. Then the Mirai Pulse. Then I expect the Legionairre with no gameplay And then the Retaliator Gold Pass (which unless they have some new module I don't think they will really push this item and just show it as a first pass on modularity...as cool and underutilized as the retaliator is) Given we have the Legionaire showing up I THINK that Cutty sized ship may be Anvil to be a "new ticket" item to go with the Legionairre. It's basically looking like a mini-carrack intended for the Cutty-Cutty+ category to compete with the Zeus and Cutty. It PROBABLY reuses a lot of elements from the Legionairre. There is currently a trend with the ship team to repackage a concept ships elements into a new concept to get fresh money off similar work. The Syulen from the Railen, the Zeus from the Polaris, etc. This makes the expo a split Mirai/Anvil expo which gives them enough meat. Final Verdict: - Mirai Pulse - Mirai Guardian - Anvil Cutty - Anvil Legionairre Likely a Polaris sneak peek as well if not possibly its exterior being shown off in game...given it's a military ship and SHOULD have released for Invictus over Citizencon but they likely missed the window. ___ Alien Week: No new ship, but they are working on the Railen. Which is a large ship so I doubt it's done given the Syulen released not long ago and that's probably the same team. I also think they may show us work on the Railen for Alien Week after Invictus....given Crewe said they'd be working on it and we got the Syulen so the alien team may be working on the Railen now and that's the last ship besides the BMM from aliens that has been announced. So possibly a new concept OR just a promise that when they finish the Railen they will move over back to the Banu. I think they specifically want an "alien team" for ships and they seem to always have 1 alien ship in the works at CIG. ___ Citizencon: I honestly don't expect the Apollo or the Zeus till the Citizencon patch. They'll likely do a whole event where we see a big RSI push with the "year of RSI" as the main label for Citizencon and IAE: Then show the Apollo, the Zeus, the Medical Ursa, and the Polaris (as far as they've gotten, hopefully finished), as well as possibly another gold pass on some ships...would love a surprise Connie rework as the next step after the Retaliator since its also modular. And DON'T FORGET, the RSI Arrastra...which may be also be getting worked on. I expect the Polaris will definitely AT WORST, headline this years IAE. But overall Citizencon will be about Squadron 42 as Im betting we see a release date announcement (likely around winter of next year or holiday season)...and then a 4.0 announcement...such as 4.0 launching with SQ42...and whatever they have ready for 4.0 will launch with SQ42. Next year: I don't expect a "year of" but if the IS a year of it's likely building towards another large ship. Whether that be the BMM or the Kraken? I don't know. Could be the Orion to finish off RSI but I just doubt it. There is also Crusader with the Starliner but we've gotten good attention on them in the background so I doubt that. Im expecting Anvil, Aegis, or Drake, but would like to see CNOU and an announcement that Bremen is the next system after Nyx with a ship release leadup to the system that hosts that companies HQ....if not? ARGO imo needs to just be upgraded to a major manufacturer.
As a note on the Legionnaire, I don't know where you got the indication that it might be near completion. As of the end of last month, it hadn't even started full development. Even ignoring all the functional stuff surrounding it, it's quite a few months away at best.
"The Anvil Legionnaire is whitebox complete, with the team currently waiting on gameplay validation and for artists to free up before they send it to full development." robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/19869-Star-Citizen-Monthly-Report-March-2024 I realize it might be a stretch, which is why I made the comment that I highly doubt it would be released during Invictus.
Head concussions would be cool medplay. You keep passing out or throwing up till you get to facility treatment. Maybe, you have to use a stabilizer with reduced movement and vision problems. It would validate the purpose of the Endeavor. The solution for ground vehicles would be to have planets that have very low visibility or bad weather to severely hinder travel in the air around the planet. Maybe the planet has a continuous ion storm that plays havoc on ship components, power plants, and shield emitters. Vehicle suspension and traverse needs work, I need more Mudrunner and less crap handling in rough terrain in lower gravities.
Medical: I think you may get your wish. Heres why, they have shown various levels of limb replacement, including wear on those limbs. So, we will need a way to attach those, and maintain them. The misc/murai ships seem like an awesome idea, especially using the thruster tech from the fury. A light/medium/heavy fighter using those thrusters as a base would be awesome to see. Light armor (comparativly), high firepower, very high maneuverability. Just another way to die quickly. The zeus doesn't really excite me, it seems fairly basic, but its not a bad ship. But in not sure its my style. I hope the falling over thing gets fixed. I mean ships like the 600i, 890, have large enough gravity generators to coubter most or all manuvering. But the connie and crossiar, well I don't really see a generator large enough to counter a turn much less combat manuvers. Things i'd personally like to see: Some form of parachute, doesn't need to be like the ones we have now. Just something to survive an ejection, or para drops from low atmo. (This would really make the prowler usefull.) A dropship specifically designed for dropping off a veichle and passangers. E.g can carry a storm, or a balista. Has just enough seats to get everyone there safely and quickly. No guns, just a veichle bay, with a few seats and a cockpit welded together, under enough armor to get there and back again quickly and safely. This would be useful for racers, and combat drops alike. I think drake, or any military manufactor could easily take this. (And yes i know about the Hercules series, im talking about a smaller more compact specilized design. Just meant to get a single veichle to its destination.)
@@Hav0k while I agree, im not sure a parachute is exactly what we want though. The reason for this is that a parachute won't work very well in thin atmo, and not at all in no atmo. But we do greatly need something which behaves the same way, becaue right now its almost suicide to eject anywhere with gravity.
@FrozenKnight21 what ever the solution is, as long as there's a way to recover from an ejection. But parachutes could always be gamified. No need for everything to be hyper-realistic
@@FrozenKnight21 Russian airdrop chutes for vehicles like BMPs (apc's/infantry fighting vehicles) have a system with rocket motors hung just below the chute that fires right before impact to slow things down. Perhaps we could get a similar system for ejection systems? That, or a variant of the current backpack thrusters that uses all of it's thruster fuel to serve as a "parachute"?
The Sabre is actually about 8M shorter than the Scorpius in landing mode. The Scorpius has a landing length of 32M, and the Sabre has a length of 24M, so it's a pretty significant difference in size between the two.
Mini game for medical procedures. Imagine, for example, trying to set a broken leg bone. Don't allow tractor beaming of people with T2 injuries and above (cause further damage / too much pain). Instead require a medical cot be used or hovering drone bed. Special consumable supplies.. Build a cast. Fail the build.. and waste supplies. Allow failure despite best effort.
I personally think they will drop a new ground vehicle, another small beginner ship. But I’d be surprised if anything significant comes with invictus. They will definitely float another concept ship I am sure.
What about an exploration ground vehicle that could be used for bedlogging. That would make ground vehicles a lot more useful for exploration and ground driving from point to point.
It would be cool to have a large ground vehicle that could be used as a mobile ground base. Think something like the Juggernaut ground vehicles we see in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith (on the Wookie planet) and during some episodes of the Clone Wars. Maybe have it big enough to need something like a Liberator to transport. It could even have a small landing bay for something like a Pisces and some smaller ground vehicles/bikes.
Well i cant wait for my Zeus MR + CL / Legionnaire / Apollo Medivac and Polaris and i do hope we see most if not all of them soon! then its Galaxy / Perseus and Idris K after that for me too!
Great job! I am hoping the Zues ships will come out, but I thought the Spirits were ready last year and they waited....we will see. I have not heard of movement on the Appolos, so I doubt they will come out. The Polaris will be cool and it sounds close. It wild be great for CIG if they released some of these with all the other changes. It will be like a new game!
I'm curious about the Apollo because the modules for the beds were never sold. So it's unclear if we have to buy them or we can configure them in the ship. Also the Apollo will still be missing features like the rescue drone. I think we need to see cybernetics and death penalties in to really see the Apollo shine, but I am still more than happy to have it in game before all the related medic gameplay features.
Great job Hakoc on the storytelling and speculation. That aside, I hope the Perseus isn't left in the Polaris's shadow and the Constellation series isn't left in the awkward spot of missing a rework. If one of the primary goals is to fix and or complete the RSI lineup. My challenge to CIG would be to make a case and a commitment and breath new life in older platforms abroad. Accountability and commitment I strongly feel about regardless of any company providing a product. As consumers, we should expect nothing less, not the lowering of the bar. Signed - a slightly bias Constellation fan.
I would love it if they snuck the Polaris into 3.23 without telling anyone or even putting it in the early build so it won't get spoiled by dataminers.
I hope we can at least get one zeus variant for invictus, I just melted my legionnaire because the monthly report stated its only in white box. I'm really waiting on the polaris! If we do get a guardian sale I will make hanger space for it, the vanguard needs real competition. I hope drake makes a heavy fighter one day
Hoplite is the one dropship without dropship tax. Also, do not underestimate it's capabilities it is the one dropship which is capable of fighting off other ships.
Agreed. I'm clearly not a game designer, so I bet there's more and better things CIG could add to flesh out medical gameplay even more. Also, one of the biggest drawbacks are beacons are in a terrible state right now.
I closed a CCU chain to acquire an Apollo Medivac during IAE exactly for having a dedicated Tier 1 medical bed. Tension pneumothorax? Took me back to when I worked as an ER tech. I agree that expanded medical gameplay would be great as well as necessary. I'm also looking forward to the release of the Zeus Mk II particularly my CL variant. Favorite ship? My daily driver is the Banu Defender with the Platinum paint! Thank you for your content and perspectives 💯⚡️🫡
When looking at ships like the Endeavor and the Apollo, it really makes me hope that more gameplay is added to the medical system. Hopefully they realize that. Thanks for the comment!
I'm going to talk needs (IMO) for RSI Specifically, RSI: Medium fighter. (Take my money) Solo Scorpious, no turret or EMP. Similar loadout to saber. Given some of the industrial a Salvage between Reclaimer and Vulture.
No, you're correct. That's the only difference. Apparently when I was writing the script and looking stuff up on my phone, the mobile website did not display all of the information. So according to the last bit of info from the Q&A there are no module limitations.
@@Hav0k OK sounds good, I have a Medivac pledged but the thing I'm most interested to find out about it now is what are the default modules that it comes with. I'm guessing a size 2 and a size 3
No force reactions would break immersion. A way to fix the problem you describe while still having force reactions may be to add a function to grip certain surfaces so you don’t fall.
I disagree. I think it's more so about having the game feel good and be balanced. There can still be force reactions, but honestly we shouldn't really be getting knocked down while our ship is just simply maneuvering.
@@Hav0k I think it depends on the degree of the maneuver. If you are doing flips and moving super aggressively it should.. multicrew pilots need to be aware and considerate of that. but right now its overly sensitive and seems to make even standard turning speed knock you over which is a bit much.
@@vincentrow8540 No, because thats not how quantum works. It isn't you physically moving at that speed in regular space. It's essentially a bubble and the bubble moves through space at an insane speed while the ship inside is technically stationary in that bubble of space. This is why when you drop out of quantum you are stationary rather than decelerating or moving in any way.
One thing I don't like is being "immobile", you're stuck there dying and unable to use a medpen to get moving enough to use a medgun, get to a medbed or contact someone for assistance. I've planed to have a Pieces Medical craft parked in my C2, but if the URSA Ambulance has the same medbed, then I'd go with it and gain some room. ;-)
I could have sworn I heard something about eventually having a downed state so you can still do certain things. But we'll see what happens with that. I get what you mean though. You're hopeless and can't even crawl to a safe place
I talked about this in another video, but since it was confirmed and this was more of a speculation video, I didn't feel the need to add it. But in hindsight, I could have discussed it in the video. Food for thought next time 🙂
Think the Galaxy will be soon real soon. Think about it, there’s a push for bigger group play. They nerfed salvage cost so it will be more beneficial for a reclaimer to stay in space longer. Enter the galaxy with the refinery module. You introduce the land ambulance into the game at the same time as the Galaxy with the med module. Already confirmed the med module will have its own vehicle loading dock. Now you have t1, 2 and 3 beds and a land ambulance to evac injured players from the distribution centers. It would be perfect time to test new features in game while further pushing players into more group/org play
I really would love to see the Galaxy in game. Then again, I'm ready for most capital ships to be in. But you're right, it definitely will make group and org game play even more important
Mirai gaurdian will be the only new ship for ILW 2954, Polaris just went into grey box final review/ final art a month ago and that process usually takes 2-8 months depending on ship size. Polaris will either be a CitizenCon or IAE release ship, there is a 0% chance of it releasing in may.
my fav ship is the polaris, cant wait for it. it will be my DD and i will def be doing bunkers with it. I wonder if the pulse will be able to get in close to the bunkers or like the hover crafts, be shot down by the turrets. Its just so fast i think it would be able to get in and the turrets couldnt track it
Lol it's so odd to think of the Polaris as a daily driver. But I'm someone who also wants that to be my main ship as well 🤣 I hope in the future there will be more rewards and more money for attacking bunkers as a group and using ground vehicles to assault bases.
Force reactions need to stay but they need heavily tuned. You are only barely stumbling with 9g maneuvers so intertial dampners are definately already in but I would like to see them tuned to only "really" effect your character on drastic or harsh changes. The new interaction system may help with this alot as you won't need to be nearly as precise and hold that prescision to perform actions. Walk up, hit F, locked in animation.
Re: medical gameplay - would love to see 'field surgery' where you zoom in on an injury, and have to treat it with a little 'minigame', carefully trying to remove bullets/set broken bones etc without cutting anything important. Done correctly you can treat high-tier injuries with lower-tier beds, fail and you've made the problem worse and will likely have to take your patient to a proper hospital. Also, hovering gurneys, both for that bit of medical RP and so your patient doesn't have to do the limp walk out of the hangar to the hospital. Re: dropships - Terrapin dropship when?
Actually that'd be a really cool gameplay idea for medical. And I think hovering litters would be cool. And I doubt the terrapin will ever be a dropship. It's an Explorer lol 😆
Even if the full gameplay is not in the game yet, I want the Apollo, Invictus or not. The same goes for the Medical rover. There is some play in game right now, that's the players. With MM I think we might see an increase in the missions. Also, someone who has the Galaxy with all the three modules and all three Zeus versions in their hangar, I'm very excited about them coming this year (I hope) As with everything SC, time will tell. I may get the Polaris, just haven't decided yet, but I do have the Perseus waiting.
i think the apollo medivac will be my daily driver maybe forever. but i cant know just yet but i think the endeavor will be my all time favorite ship! if this game continues to allow 1 player fly larger ships i just may try to get my hands on the kracken. but i hope they make capital ships where they require 2 pilots where the pilots must sync movements for improved agility such as 1 pilot fly a Polaris the ship will have an agility if x1.5 if the pilots can sync ok then its agility is somewhere average but if you can get 2 pilots to sync perfectly maybe x.75 like on scale with a connie.... 1 pilot is main trust and main counter thrust and 2nd pilot optimizes maneuvering thrusters!!! and together the ship could turn much better than just 1 pilot
I think the Zeus line is most likely, but even those are kinda maybe. I used to think CIG would save surprises for us at big events, but have since realized if they are working on something, they are going to brag about it beforehand, so if nothing is being bragged about, we shouldn't expect any surprises at Invictus.
@@Hav0k I could see them adding in the F7A Mk 2 as a buyable ship during Invictus. Those who didn't play through all of the Overdrive event may still want to buy one, even without the free upgrade. Also, since you lose the free upgrade if you melt, being able to have one in buyback might be worth it. There is also the fact that the F7C Mk 2 was sold with just 6 months insurance, that free upgrade will probably inherit that insurance. Being able to buy a 10yr or LTI version might make the purchase worth it as well.
Honestly I imagine we'll maybe get to see a Polaris but not fly her until November, and then the Galaxy Q2 next year and Perseus in November (which would be best for me since I plan to purchase the Polaris this summer before flyable price hike)
They could simply make hand minable consumable. As weapon, shield armor buffs for example. Could be for anything really. Then people would have a reason to mine them other than just an entry level activity. Which it would still be. But also would be valuable to the chads and tryhards. Which would also make the caves and whatnot a contested area and finding other caves would be an art for the dedicated.
Apollo, Zeus and Polaris are the 3 ships I'm most looking forward to on this list, as they are the ones I own but also because they are so close to release, I hope at the very least 1 of them will release during ILW.
I hope that there will be no fantasy tech inertia dampers. In combat one should be strapped in. However, I want them to add electromagnetic boots like in the Expanse.
I would like to see magnetic boots as well, but if they force people to strap in during combat, engineering gameplay will suck. Better to gameify it a little bit
A missing Limb system would be so cool imagine you get your Arm shot off and you have to make it back to a station to get it replaced with a robo arm that functions like a human one but makes you look like a veteran that has seen some things😂 Edit: there could even be a system of steering the ship with one hand only and that you are only able to use pistols or light smgs one handed with an accuracy debuff.
my guess - zeus; likely CL and MKII but not ES. Tali and maybe, maybe a Murai Heavy fighter. I cant see more than that, and even that is stretching it IMO. All speculation. I have no insight other than an opinion.
Who thinks they will split the Apolo into three or more separate ships, each of which has a non-adjustable bed configuration? That would be on par for the last several ships released where multiple full price variance have essentially the same functionality with minor differences, but rather than selling one ship, and several options, they make more by selling three complete Ships.
It's possible. But now that modularity is coming to the retaliator, I think they'll stick with the two variants and add modules. This will probably be the route from now on I bet.
@@Hav0k Personally, I'm hoping that they eventually add modularity to the Cutlass series. I've always wanted the cargo bay of the Black with the cockpit canopy of the Blue (no struts and *much* better visibility).
According to Chris Roberts 4.0 will still be considered Alpha. When 1.0 drops one day it will largely be considered a released game with more gameplay loops, polished and very few bugs. At that point they will still continue adding to the game every quarter, but ensure that each release is polished and has significantly few bugs.
I’d say the Apollo is at least a year out. They have the Galaxy, Polaris, Perseus, ect…. You even said it, medical gameplay isn’t really there yet, so those ships will be almost last on the list, then the Orion, imo.
The problem with the Apollo is there is NO point at all in not taking the T1 medical bed since it takes seconds to use the bed and heal so why picking a load out that might have more beds but at T2/3 when a single T1 shits all over the other beds. The only way to make it useful is if the Apollo beds could not heal but just make the person stable but you need to be using the bed then you would need to make a choice a T1 or a few lower level beds.
Polaris will NOT be in invictus. Not probably not, literally impossible. It will NOT be in the patch. We are just getting the F7A, the Tali rework, and maybe a small/med unannounced straight to flyable (my guess would be the Mirai heavy fighter). Polaris is gonna be an end of year ship.
I say its possible.. i dont know where you get your info from that its impossible. they worked on that ship for more than a year already. You know what that means for the RSI liineup if you think that can not do this? it means at least 3 years RSI ships. no other. also making one line/brand of ships is a failure. Again you will be wrong and i will be correct.
Last mention we saw, as far as I’m aware, of the Polaris was back in the February Monthly report with exteriors reaching LOD0 and interiors approaching greybox review. There’s been no word on the March Monthly Report for it. I’d say the Zeus is a guarantee, with it on the polishing phase as of the March report, but I think the Polaris comes later in the year. Probably at a 3.24 release
"the Medivac that can have up to two tier 1 beds. And the Triange, which can have one Tier 1 bed." What? Where the did you get that information? The medical capabilities of the Apollo's are identical. They both have two bays and each bay can have either one tier 1, two tier 2, or three tier 3 beds. You can mix and match between the two bays however you want. The only differences between the two models are in the chassis. As in the Medivac has heavy armor instead of medium and is 10m/s max SCM slower than the triage as a result. And the Medivac has a different default paint. That's it. They are otherwise identical in every other way. You can confirm this information in the Apollo's brochure.
@@Hav0k Sorry, I'm still not seeing what you're referencing. If anything the "Medbay Module Configuration Quickview Matrix" on both pages confirm what I stated in my previous post. Both the Triage and the Medivac are capable of installing up to two Tier 1 medbeds. One in each module. Just in case, are you looking at the full desktop webpage, or a mobile webpage. I know mobile pages can throw up weird discrepancies sometimes.
This is probably the case as I was viewing it at the time of researching the information for the video. You are totally right, and I misspoke in the video. My apologies for the incorrect information. According to the info, the Medivac has dual missile racks and better armor.
How about some dang updates to existing ships. If they update some of the existing ships that need updating this would please most players. Now regarding ships like the Apollo. Great ship and can't wait to see it; that said, upon its release it will be nothing more than a glorified C8 Pisces medical, without ship crew logout. 3.23 will be an awesome release, but until CiG really adds ship crew logout to the game, many larges ship will miss their mark.
Hm... Finding some inconsistent information here in the video. 1. At the start of the video, you mention that CIG wants to be finished with all RSI ships within 12 months. There is no information supporting this claim, but the claim CIG has made is that they want to be finished with ships like the Polaris, Zeus, Perseus, Galaxy, and the Apollo for 2024. Ships like the Arrastra and Orion have not been mentioned being in that work pool (unfortunately... I want my Space Mining RIG!!!) 2. The only difference between the Apollo Medivac and Triage is that the Medivac also has missiles, slight lower speeds, and a different color scheme. There is no difference to the ships modularity, and both the Sales page and brochure doesn't state otherwise. Both Ships can have 2x Tier 1 beds. Apollo is also MOST LIKELY NOT coming during invictus, as the ships of focus in development are the Polaris and Zeus, followed by Perseus. While Galaxy is on that Docket too, they are waiting for Modularity to finish (Coming 3.23.x with the Retaliator Gold Standard). So both the Galaxy and Apollo are waiting for this to come in FIRST for their gameplay to be more fleshed out. 3. Anvil Legionnaire is Whitebox Complete. Whitebox is the undetailed boxing of the ships, and is before greybox, which is the mode detailed phase. Legionnaire is not coming during Invictus unless CIG starts listening to Eurobeat and work as fast as those beats. 4. Totally forgot the Prowler exists during the Dropship bit :P Dont worry about it. CIG has forgotten that ship exists too, as it keeps on having bugs and issues from the second patch after its release! 5. Zeus MK.II COULD come, but it being only Greybox complete doesnt give lots of hope to come in 3.23.x cycle, and would have a more realistic delivery towards the 3.24/ 4.0. That said. Invictus this year could be HIGHLY interesting. What ships will we see? Will we get to tour the Idris this year or even test it out? WILL the Polaris launch during invictus? While I do doubt it, it would only make sense that it would arrive during this time of the year, and last we heard anything, it was at the end of greybox or past it. 2024 sure is exciting!
During CitizenCon, they stated that their intention is to finish all RSI ships within 12 months. Then, they would move on to the next manufacturer. This information was stated in the Talking Ship panel. As soon as I find a direct timeframe in the video, I'll link it As far as everything else, it's all just speculation 😃
Apollo won't be here until IAE this year. It's the same reason as the Vulcan, they both work with drones, which we don't have yet. We're getting modularity finally, so it's not super far off, but definitely not for a few months. RSI fanboy, though, so Apollo, the Zeus, and the Polaris are just jpegs in my hangar for now, but that will change soon enough.
@@commandeur_albator Nothings making an excuse. Carrack has 2 specific modules that are supposed to use drones. The Carracks issue is it's full viability isn't going to be seen for awhile. Thing has like what? 7 different modules, and each ones COMPLETELY changes the function of the Carrack.
Gib Zeus. But Im surprised their bread and butter for the project being ships.. really has lagged recently and in more recent years. If it were a scam you'd think they'd still be pumping out concepts and more ships but they dont because they got enough to develop lol.
Wasn't the Sith player ship from Star Wars The Old Republic called the Sith Fury? That's kind of what I'd imagine a Mirai competitor to the Constellation/Mercury Star Runner to be like (really big Fury).
I don't think anything like a scalpel or tourniquet makes any sense. We are in a fantasy future where you stop bleeding out by a medpen or gun. Any broken bone or gunshot is treated in seconds in the field. We have beds that fix broken bones or even regenerate entire people. I don't know what else you could need but I'm pretty positive that it isn't a person with a knife and belt to stop bleeding.
Carrack and 890 have tier 1 medbed. Appolo would be and other mobile spawn point. I often fly big ships. And unless you boost. The crew are fine to move around. So if you do piss me off. I would tell am emergency braking. If you do well..... I have a Friend with a kraken and Idris. Those are the ship that am exited to drift land in a hangar.
🔘 When does the Star Citizen game have saucer shaped crafts ? ⭐A51&S4 Leads the way ⭐ Benefits of saucer shaped designs! Space flight Largest surface use for flux stream or Gravitonic warp drive dynamics. Atmospheric flight Ideal Aerodynamic shape for horizontal lateral cruise. Large cargo volume. The lower saucer section could have a 360 radial cargo bay and central elevator or 4 side ramps at the sides. Flat disk shape allows all direction defences. I mean automatic systems. Meaning one does not have to move all the ship to target.
There might be quite a few ships coming to Invictus this year with a lot of work on some RSi ships nearing completion. What ships do you think will drop during Fleet Week?
I can't wait to fly the new ships next year!!!!
Personally that Perseus has me so weak right now...

Agreed. It would be super useful if AI medical missions were in and beacons were made better than they are. There needs to be a player to player reputation ship
Plague outposts or xeno Ninetails gang war with civilians that need rescued maybe. Sick VIP escort/delivery missions is another..
Probably 2 years
simple ai vs ai battle were you just need to rescue someone would be cool.

Everyone forgets the prowler as a dropship
I know people that absolutely love it. They just never use it due to its.... Bugs. Hopefully they visit that ship again soon and bring it up to par. It is a cool ship.
The what? =P
Came here to say this lol. I'm due to make another video on the prowler soon
I might not have any money to buy any other ship but man, I can't wait for the Zeus Mk. II
I really hope it’s not only as good as it looks in concept but that it flies nice as well, doesn’t have to the fastest, most manoeuvrable ship out there, just comfortable and easy to fly is all I ask. I bought all three as my first concept buys so fingers crossed.
I’ve got a Zues Mk II pledged, but I really want a apolo, but it’s probably out of my budget
I got to many ships, it's embarrassing. Add me as a friend and you can fly the ship when it release. LandYacht
Why? What are you gonna use it for, In a game thats not a game.. Wake up 🤣
@@fairq6063I have the Zeus clipper too. Love the colours in the concept art
Tension pneumothorax.
Holy cow. That's a phrase I haven't heard since my combat medevac days. Bravo. And yeah, I hope we actually get such detailed injuries.
It was literally giving me flashbacks of CLS classes when i heard myself say that when I was reviewing the video 🤣😅
The apollo is so cool and probably my favorit design in star citizen cant wait to see it ingame
They already said during CitizenCon that you can expect the Zeus around this years CitizenCon, just how the Spirit was the previous year
I am very curious and anxious about the mystery ship silhouette shown after Argo ship. I think its a small do it all Anvil ship and will be the Avenger competition, a mini carrack.
Dropship? Prowler dude.
Just what I was thinking
Everyone forgets the Prowler
Cutlass Steel?
nice video! i glad there still some believers around, who will not loose hope in Chris! Keep on guys, the universe awaits!
Lil Bro got the Zeus Mk. II and can't wait to go on some missions with it.
However, I'm excited to finally get my hands on my baby, the Polaris.
Good choice!
Doubt your baby will be premature, possibly go full term, just hope there's no complications.
A thing that could incentivise ground vehicles is adding missile silos to higher level ground missions that can target ships from a further distance. That way you either have to bomb the location or invest in a ground vehicle to drive to the facility.
Dedicated hard emplacement SAM sites? Yes, please!
Then I expect the Legionairre with no gameplay
And then the Retaliator Gold Pass (which unless they have some new module I don't think they will really push this item and just show it as a first pass on modularity...as cool and underutilized as the retaliator is)
Given we have the Legionaire showing up I THINK that Cutty sized ship may be Anvil to be a "new ticket" item to go with the Legionairre.
Final Verdict:
- Mirai Pulse
- Mirai Guardian
- Anvil Cutty
- Anvil Legionairre
Likely a Polaris sneak peek as well if not possibly its exterior being shown off in game...given it's a military ship and SHOULD have released for Invictus over Citizencon but they likely missed the window.
___
Alien Week:
No new ship, but they are working on the Railen.
___
Citizencon:
I honestly don't expect the Apollo or the Zeus till the Citizencon patch.
They'll likely do a whole event where we see a big RSI push with the "year of RSI" as the main label for Citizencon and IAE:
Then show the Apollo, the Zeus, the Medical Ursa, and the Polaris (as far as they've gotten, hopefully finished), as well as possibly another gold pass on some ships...would love a surprise Connie rework as the next step after the Retaliator since its also modular.
Next year:
I don't expect a "year of" but if the IS a year of it's likely building towards another large ship.
"The Anvil Legionnaire is whitebox complete, with the team currently waiting on gameplay validation and for artists to free up before they send it to full development."
robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/19869-Star-Citizen-Monthly-Report-March-2024
I realize it might be a stretch, which is why I made the comment that I highly doubt it would be released during Invictus.
Great !!!!! More ships that won't function correctly, adding more frustration to the experience , like we don't have enough of that already
Id snatch up a Rover/Lynx ambulanxe in a hearbeat.
Things i'd personally like to see:
Some form of parachute, doesn't need to be like the ones we have now. Just something to survive an ejection, or para drops from low atmo. (This would really make the prowler usefull.)
A dropship specifically designed for dropping off a veichle and passangers.
A parachute would be super important to have. It would also be nice if they were part of backpacks in general as well.
So fun correction on the Polaris cig has stated that during part of the design done the Polaris can carry up to a Scorpius at least
Thanks for the correction! I figured that it would given that the Saber is the same size
The Sabre is actually about 8M shorter than the Scorpius in landing mode. The Scorpius has a landing length of 32M, and the Sabre has a length of 24M, so it's a pretty significant difference in size between the two.
@@harabecswurveweathers Ah yes, I guess that's a good point to count the wings folded. That was my bad. Good to note then!
@@harabecswurveweathers Would the Polaris be able to hold an F8?
The video clip used in this video even shows the Polaris launching a Scorpius.
Concept ships a tradition at this point it seems 😆
You left out the Retaliator Bomber Gold Standard and Base, with modules, coming out at Invictus.
The RSI Galaxy and Apollo don't work without it.
I covered this in another video. Since it was confirmed being in the next patch, I didn't feel the need to add it to a speculation video
What about an exploration ground vehicle that could be used for bedlogging. That would make ground vehicles a lot more useful for exploration and ground driving from point to point.
That would actually be kind of cool to see
It would be cool to have a large ground vehicle that could be used as a mobile ground base.
I want my Galaxy man, thought about trading it in for a Polaris along with a few other of my ships.
Thank you! I hope so too!
Id like to see the liberator
The liberator would be great to see!
I've been waiting for my Zeus MKII MR for a really really long time. I am really hoping its released during invictus.
Same!
I own the Zeus mkII mr Merchantman and Polaris, I have the Triage in Buyback along with the Hull E, I wait for these ships
Saw the Polaris and instantly clicked
It seems to be everyone's favorite 😆
i don't really care polaris, but once polaris released Galaxy and Perseus are not far away

I hope drake makes a heavy fighter one day
I already plan on grinding for a Zeus CL
As someone whos in school to be on a booboobus I'm so excited for the Apollo and the eventual medical gameplay.
Hoplite is the one dropship without dropship tax. Also, do not underestimate it's capabilities it is the one dropship which is capable of fighting off other ships.
I'm super ready for more medical gameplay. Although it isn't there yet, the medical ships have me hyped up. Would also love an ambulance.
I'm going to talk needs (IMO) for RSI Specifically,
RSI: Medium fighter. (Take my money) Solo Scorpious, no turret or EMP. Similar loadout to saber.
Given some of the industrial a Salvage between Reclaimer and Vulture.
A medium fighter would be really cool to see actually!
Wait the variants have different module limitations? I thought the only difference was the MediVac had extra armor and missiles.
@@Mike5Brown definitely a good question. I'm kinda curious to know the answer too. I'll have to so some research
Well, he has a point. To a point, lol. If there were no inertial dampeners, we'd all be killed as soon as we activated Quantum.
@@soliitudegaming7275 so then it's an alcubierre drive. And should be capable of several hundred times c. Which quantum can't do.
So....
I would add retaliator base to this list. Good video.
I talked about this in another video, but since it was confirmed and this was more of a speculation video, I didn't feel the need to add it. But in hindsight, I could have discussed it in the video. Food for thought next time 🙂
Its going to be an interesting IAE to be sure. 3.23 and .x are changing the face of the game.
I am excited for Apollo hope to see at the invictus 🤞
hmmm, my favorite ship? The Galaxy says and has it all :)
Except they've dogpiled as many people as possible on it. Probs july or october.
my fav ship is the polaris, cant wait for it. it will be my DD and i will def be doing bunkers with it. I wonder if the pulse will be able to get in close to the bunkers or like the hover crafts, be shot down by the turrets. Its just so fast i think it would be able to get in and the turrets couldnt track it
Lol it's so odd to think of the Polaris as a daily driver. But I'm someone who also wants that to be my main ship as well 🤣
I hope in the future there will be more rewards and more money for attacking bunkers as a group and using ground vehicles to assault bases.
I agree they need to stay. They need to be retuned so they're not as reactive for certain things
In-game yes, in lore the Terrapin has a troopship/APC variant, and the explorer model we get is a conversion!
Ahhh I did not know this! Nice!
The Perseus and the Galaxy are another two great ships that I look forward to soon.
@@Hav0k And the Arrastra!
i think the apollo medivac will be my daily driver maybe forever. but i cant know just yet but i think the endeavor will be my all time favorite ship! if this game continues to allow 1 player fly larger ships i just may try to get my hands on the kracken. but i hope they make capital ships where they require 2 pilots where the pilots must sync movements for improved agility such as 1 pilot fly a Polaris the ship will have an agility if x1.5 if the pilots can sync ok then its agility is somewhere average but if you can get 2 pilots to sync perfectly maybe x.75 like on scale with a connie....
Actually, it's been the opposite in my opinion. They largely seem to be keeping quiet on a lot of things lately. But we will see what happens.
These are pretty respectable estimates. I wouldn't be surprised if you were right tbh.
It's all about hopes and dreams right now lol
I hope that there will be no fantasy tech inertia dampers. In combat one should be strapped in. However, I want them to add electromagnetic boots like in the Expanse.
I would like to see magnetic boots as well, but if they force people to strap in during combat, engineering gameplay will suck. Better to gameify it a little bit
I can't wait for the zeus
I would love to see the Apollo @ Invictus
been waiting for my zeus cl since it came out
A missing Limb system would be so cool imagine you get your Arm shot off and you have to make it back to a station to get it replaced with a robo arm that functions like a human one but makes you look like a veteran that has seen some things😂
Edit: there could even be a system of steering the ship with one hand only and that you are only able to use pistols or light smgs one handed with an accuracy debuff.
Even if the gameplay isn't fleshed out, I'd crap myself if the Apollo showed up at Invictus this year
Same lol
Should be a mini game of Operation when you put someone on a med bed
My favorite ship is the Carrack.
If we see the Apollo ill actually shit myself
Loving the C1 and C2.
I am ravenous for the MARI medium fighter
my guess - zeus; likely CL and MKII but not ES. Tali and maybe, maybe a Murai Heavy fighter. I cant see more than that, and even that is stretching it IMO. All speculation. I have no insight other than an opinion.
I THINK the nautilus will be out as its been in the finalized Greybox phase since 2022! :0
I think they have been secretly
working on drone technology as the apollo and many more ships are requiring it to release.
@randlebrowne2048 that probably would be a really good idea, to be honest. If would make sense
You forgot that the Esperia Prowler exists :D
Lol i did indeed. 😅
You forgot about the prowler as a drop ship
Whats the difference between 4.0/1.0, is it going from alpha/beta?
According to Chris Roberts 4.0 will still be considered Alpha. When 1.0 drops one day it will largely be considered a released game with more gameplay loops, polished and very few bugs. At that point they will still continue adding to the game every quarter, but ensure that each release is polished and has significantly few bugs.
The Polaris will have size 5 or 6 turrets.
And the Triange, which can have one Tier 1 bed."
What? Where the did you get that information? The medical capabilities of the Apollo's are identical. They both have two bays and each bay can have either one tier 1, two tier 2, or three tier 3 beds. You can mix and match between the two bays however you want. The only differences between the two models are in the chassis. As in the Medivac has heavy armor instead of medium and is 10m/s max SCM slower than the triage as a result. And the Medivac has a different default paint. That's it. They are otherwise identical in every other way.
You can confirm this information in the Apollo's brochure.
starcitizen.tools/Apollo_Triage
1 tier 1 bed with other modules
starcitizen.tools/Apollo_Medivac
Two tier 1 beds with other modules
I actually will agree with you on that. There's a lot of ships that need more work and their gold passes. It would be nice to see soon
I want my Space Mining RIG!!!)
4. Totally forgot the Prowler exists during the Dropship bit :P
Dont worry about it.
As soon as I find a direct timeframe in the video, I'll link it
As far as everything else, it's all just speculation 😃
@@Hav0k I too remember them saying this during the panel. Of course, intended timelines haven't been worth much for the company in the past decade....
This is true. We can hope at this rate. But perception is reality.
I just want the Polaris...
Glad I stopped in and Someone shares my Excitement for My North Star
Apollo won't be here until IAE this year. It's the same reason as the Vulcan, they both work with drones, which we don't have yet. We're getting modularity finally, so it's not super far off, but definitely not for a few months. RSI fanboy, though, so Apollo, the Zeus, and the Polaris are just jpegs in my hangar for now, but that will change soon enough.
Actually, that's a good point. I kinda forgot about drones. I hope they begin working on drones soon. We definitely need it.
carrack work with drone too soo not an excuse
@@commandeur_albator Nothings making an excuse. Carrack has 2 specific modules that are supposed to use drones. The Carracks issue is it's full viability isn't going to be seen for awhile. Thing has like what? 7 different modules, and each ones COMPLETELY changes the function of the Carrack.
Gib Zeus.
But Im surprised their bread and butter for the project being ships.. really has lagged recently and in more recent years. If it were a scam you'd think they'd still be pumping out concepts and more ships but they dont because they got enough to develop lol.
Isn't the prowler a decent drop ship?
I feel it's the most forgotten drop ship for many different reasons. All of them valid 🤣
@@Hav0k It really needs a rework. It would be nice if you could stow the troop harnesses out of the way to make room for cargo or a bike.
they commonly release ships without gameplay hence the the reclaimer came w/out no use
the mirai pulse is thee in 3.23 !!
It is! And it's actually a pretty sweet bike. Hopefully we'll see more ships for Invictus soon
I need the big fury in my life
lol
Looks like I'll have to go to med school to play this game
🤣
Carrack and 890 have tier 1 medbed. Appolo would be and other mobile spawn point.
I often fly big ships. And unless you boost. The crew are fine to move around. So if you do piss me off. I would tell am emergency braking. If you do well.....
I have a Friend with a kraken and Idris. Those are the ship that am exited to drift land in a hangar.
Hi! Currently, Carrack & 890J have a T2 medbed - you can respawn but T1 injuries have to be fixed in a hospital.

🔘 When does the Star Citizen game have saucer shaped crafts ?
⭐A51&S4 Leads the way ⭐
Benefits of saucer shaped designs!
Space flight
Largest surface use for flux stream or Gravitonic warp drive dynamics.
Atmospheric flight
Ideal Aerodynamic shape for horizontal lateral cruise.
Large cargo volume.
The lower saucer section could have a 360 radial cargo bay and central elevator or 4 side ramps at the sides.
Flat disk shape allows all direction
defences. I mean automatic systems.
Meaning one does not have to move all the ship to target.
Gib BMM
For real. That ship is one that we all want badly.
For dropships you totally forgot about the Prowler.
Yes I did. I hate that ship lol
@@Hav0k 🤣🤣🤣🤣 fair!
The only reason I can think of would be engineering and maintenance.
