I know you had a difficult time to deal with the emigration officer for your second n third visit to enter Malaysia.. anyway if you can make it during the fasting month or after that because you already been traveling around with your friends in a car with the Canadian couple.. u know the nook and corner of the peninsular Malaya n East Malaysia SABAH n Sarawak bring them to Taman NEGARA in pahang... tioman island Langkawi.. n taste what KL is a truly Asian taste.. hired a big Alphard or a comfortable 5/6 seater car..
I followed all your previous vlogs in west Malaysia n SABAH n Sarawak..
easy almost every one can understand English.. or simple English...

As you are so familiar with Bangkok, you are indeed a good tour guide to your family. Great of you to bring them to non touristy and touristy places. That also goes to food, trying those local snacks at local market, seeing stuff/fruits that can't be found back home. Wonderful that your mom loves the tuk tuk ride. Bangkok is the PLACE for meeting VIPs in our life: parents, friends, co-workers (you know how we all call in SICK at work to irritate our bosses, but we’re not really sick😅), and people we convince that Thailand is the best place to travel to eat, go clubbing, shop, and escape to when our homes cities dip to freezing temperatures not compatible with life. Where else can you find on earth an airport-to-city railway transfer that is so much fun to take and so cheap at $1.40 (45 baht Su-wa-na-poom to Phayatai 26-kilometer scenic ride)?Find me one cheaper than this in any major city in this world-and I bet you can’t! Lol!!!

So nice to see your family visit you in Thailand Ken. My son moved to Korea 9 years ago to teach English for 1 year, he never came home. He is now married to my Lovely Korean
daughter and last year they gave me a cute grandson. Visited them in October last year, the 12 hour KLM flight was well worth it. Heading back to Korea again in April this year,
they have now moved to Jeju island off the south coast, it looks really nice, be great to see them all again. Enjoy your guests Ken 👍

Legend states that when King Taksin, at the time Ayutthaya mandarin, led some troops to break the Burmese siege of Ayutthaya and arrived at this old temple at dawn, so the temple was then named Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). After Ayutthaya fell after one-year siege, he led troops from Chanthaburi province to expel the occupied Burmese troops in Ayutthaya. Then he proclaimed himself King and moved the capital from Ayutthaya to Thonburi and built a royal palace adjacent to Wat Arun and this temple then became the Royal Temple within the Palace domain in line with Ayutthaya tradition. The same could be said about King Rama I when he moved the capital from Thonburi across the Chao Phraya River and built Emerald Buddha Temple within the Grand Palace. When Thonburi was still a distinct province before it was dissolved to form Bangkok metropolis about 50 years ago, Thonburi's symbol was Phra Prang (Stupa) of this temple.
