People, the way Maps are designed in TS4 there wouldn't be much things to do with horses, they would be just like a decoration that's walking around. I'm so excited for this EP! This trailer warmed my heart. I saw a fox too! I'm gonna point out one thing, it's not complaining but I wish deep down in my heart that they would add a zoo with many animals (that's impossible but it's just what I would like) Now in general I'd like to see more animals to be added as pets. Like otters, raccoons, foxes, wolfs, bunnies, hamsters, birds, fishes. Would be a little bit of refreshment but hey I'm not complaining. I love their new release. Also imagine Pets competitions like in Sims 2, hope they added something like this or maybe we'll see something like this in a Stuff Pack because for pets I think there will be one for sure!
I hear more animals will be added later in their own packs, which is good because then it'll focus on that animal! Which I recall we barely had in TS3. But I'm not here to compare. ^^

LeeLee B Yes! There are just too much of a good ideas. They kind of remake the old things we had in older versions of sims but just with more and better animations. There are a few new things like a vet and it's a job career.I'm excited for it. I mean we need the old stuff remade but with more new things. Like imagine having lions, tigers or any wild animal that we can't have in real life we would be able to have in sims and train them but I hope they'll add some stuff in the future. I really hope for more animals to be pets. Anyway, I can't wit for this EP. Hope it's good as they say!

I wish one thing they would’ve included in this pack was more interactions between the pets themselves. For example, something as small as a game of tug-of-war between two dogs would’ve been a cute addition. As for the cats, maybe grooming each other? Little interactions like this, I feel could’ve just made the relationships between pets in a household way more personable. Otherwise, I love this expansion pack. It’s one of my favorites!
lol... It's not hard to make models at all mate, I did voice work for guys who can crank out superb models in less than hours. EA is just superbly greedy, they had 3 years... 3 years with SIMS 3 already made.. Literally all they had to do was use SIMS 3 assets as blueprints, stop giving these thieves excuses. NOTHING IS NEW, the game is a shell of SIMS 2 & 3.
Yeah cause making models that look like they came from Unity is totally difficult, especially for a AAA company like EA... Meanwhile CITIES: SKYLINES & PLANET COASTER by PARADOX already kicked Sim Cities ass up the corner and down the next street. EA doesn't care about their consumers, this is all recycled bullshit from the first 2 games which had pets in them. CITIES: SKYLINE only had a few DLCs of note but look at SIMS 4 and you have around 10+, SIMS 3 had most of the crap already in game... Explain how " Don't be rude to them " when they are literally bending you over and making you their slave. Companies like CD Project RED are great because they don't ask a lot but deliver what they promise, they don't make excuses they make amazing games. EA is infamous for being a cashcow and greedy corporation that only cares about the value of your money rather than the benefit of your time or opinions... How is that hard to comprehend?

The first part with the girl who had her dog almost her whole life hit me hard because, I had a dog since I was a toddler and the 10 years later got diagnosed with really bad cancer and my family had to put him down. But im very excited for this!

My family dog passed away last month. She was 11, and we had her since 2006. What was initially thought to be a ruptured spleen turned out to be cancer too and too advanced and spread. I understand your feeling. It hurts when a furry loved one is gone out of our lives.

Wow. I am impressed with the cats. You got the anatomy, behavior, and different personalities they can have. I'll be honest, cats are pretty complex, but I think you guys might have nailed it.
For those complaining, It takes a VERY LONG TIME to program cats, dogs or any new life state. Pets are much harder than vampires or aliens, however, because you need entirely new models, and new animations including aging up, play with toys, and your everyday needs like going to the bathroom and eating. Knowing this it makes a lot of sense why it took so long and why there is only cats and dogs. The Sims community having been RIPPING apart everything the sims releases saying they want pets. Perhaps if you wouldn't keep rushing them there might have been more pets in this expansion pack. You may have forgotten but there is also a new career and also a new world in this expansion pack. Making this expansion pack well worth it. So how about you guys stop complaining and for once just appreciate the effort the sims team puts in? Thanks bye
The thing is, it's possible to appreciate something while still being critical of its faults. I'm excited for this expansion, of course I am! But I'm also sad at the lack of other animals. Because, contrary to what you may believe, people are, in fact, capable of multiple emotions at once.

The barn was premade, and there were only a few options for animal coats etc. I just can'T feel that connected if every cow looks exactly the same yk. I know this probably isn't going to reach EA, but still. Can we have a farmhouse game pack with horses, cows goats, etc? A "Pets" game pack would also be nice, with no cats and dogs, but rabbits, ant farms, better fish, guinea pigs, gerbals, lizards, etc. Please like if you agree so EA can see!
I love the Sims, of course, and every pack that has made its debut up to this very day. But I have to say that Cats & Dogs, hands down, takes the cake! It's sooo damn adorable to see the animals in action as they react to their master (your Sim). I really do believe that having this particular pack brings that much more importance to each of your households and to the gameplay itself. I swear, there are times when I'm playing, and maybe a few mins in I abandon interaction with my Sim for just a bit so that I can watch the animation of the dogs and what they may or may not do. It's enjoyable... It's surprising... It's Cats & Dogs and I'm absolutely in love with it! A belated thanks to the Sims creators for simply creating it! 💖
When I played the sims 3 pets, I only ever played with cats and dogs anyways. I'm super excited for this, they even added a vet job!! That's amazing! C'mon guys, at least be happy we get some element of pets. AND A COLOR WHEEL IS BACK WOO (Also, horses would be useless as it's a closed world)
The color wheel is back but only can be used on a dog or cat. Color blending is still a problem. It works the same as if your taking a photo of a group of people on a dull day and one them has bubblegum pink on, the photo will show everyone skin tone with a sunburn or bad tan. From cellphone, games and graphic programs will try even out two of the same type of colors. You will get a color wheel just not colors that are used house, plants or items.
You are so right! I didn't really like tonplay with horses bc they needed alot of place to live unlike dogs or cats. I think its great that they focused on cats nad dogs cuz this means they made them even better bc there weren't any distractions(horses).

Wolfgalaxy tbh I think its cool we can't control are pets it's different and it gives a new challenge. In the Sims 3 if your dog was gonna pee on the floor you could just click on them and x it out, but this you have to teach your dog not to do that. In my opinion I like it.

yeah, in the game files seasons were included, but that doesnt come out until next year. and theres a new world, its called brindleton bay, comes with ts4 cats and dogs. universities, they probably wont make that, not sure tho.

Alexk2695 actually the pressure from the people didn't mean anything. From the moment the sims was created the maps were made in a way that horses would be useless. Either they were planning for only cats and dogs from the beginning or they didn't think ahead
I understand why people may be complaining, but for me as I have only ever played sims 4, I am very excited. I am glad they just added cats and dogs because I would rather have quality over quantity. If they had heaps of pets, a) we would have to wait longer and b) they probably wouldn't be as good cause they wouldn't have spent as much time on each pet. And if you would still prefer sims 3, just go play sims 3 and have fun:)

I'm gonna point out one thing, it's not complaining but I wish deep down in my heart that they would add a zoo with many animals (that's impossible but it's just what I would like) Now in general I'd like to see more animals to be added as pets. Like otters, raccoons, foxes, wolfs, bunnies, hamsters, birds, fishes. Would be a little bit of refreshment but hey I'm not complaining. I love their new release. Also imagine Pets competitions like in Sims 2, hope they added something like this or maybe we'll see something like this in a Stuff Pack because for pets I think there will be one for sure!
I hear more animals will be added later in their own packs, which is good because then it'll focus on that animal! Which I recall we barely had in TS3. But I'm not here to compare. ^^

I'd love to see dolphins jumping around in an actual ocean, bears on the lawn if you build a lot with tons of trees, a wasp nest if you build a house with a porch, mosquito to protect yourself from, actual wild birds that you can feed at the park...how cool would that be??
LeeLee B Yes! There are just too much of a good ideas. They kind of remake the old things we had in older versions of sims but just with more and better animations. There are a few new things like a vet and it's a job career.I'm excited for it. I mean we need the old stuff remade but with more new things. Like imagine having lions, tigers or any wild animal that we can't have in real life we would be able to have in sims and train them but I hope they'll add some stuff in the future. I really hope for more animals to be pets. Anyway, I can't wit for this EP. Hope it's good as they say!

I wish one thing they would’ve included in this pack was more interactions between the pets themselves. For example, something as small as a game of tug-of-war between two dogs would’ve been a cute addition. As for the cats, maybe grooming each other? Little interactions like this, I feel could’ve just made the relationships between pets in a household way more personable. Otherwise, I love this expansion pack. It’s one of my favorites!

lol... It's not hard to make models at all mate, I did voice work for guys who can crank out superb models in less than hours. EA is just superbly greedy, they had 3 years... 3 years with SIMS 3 already made.. Literally all they had to do was use SIMS 3 assets as blueprints, stop giving these thieves excuses. NOTHING IS NEW, the game is a shell of SIMS 2 & 3.
Yeah cause making models that look like they came from Unity is totally difficult, especially for a AAA company like EA... Meanwhile CITIES: SKYLINES & PLANET COASTER by PARADOX already kicked Sim Cities ass up the corner and down the next street. EA doesn't care about their consumers, this is all recycled bullshit from the first 2 games which had pets in them. CITIES: SKYLINE only had a few DLCs of note but look at SIMS 4 and you have around 10+, SIMS 3 had most of the crap already in game... Explain how " Don't be rude to them " when they are literally bending you over and making you their slave.
Companies like CD Project RED are great because they don't ask a lot but deliver what they promise, they don't make excuses they make amazing games. EA is infamous for being a cashcow and greedy corporation that only cares about the value of your money rather than the benefit of your time or opinions... How is that hard to comprehend?

For those complaining,
It takes a VERY LONG TIME to program cats, dogs or any new life state. Pets are much harder than vampires or aliens, however, because you need entirely new models, and new animations including aging up, play with toys, and your everyday needs like going to the bathroom and eating. Knowing this it makes a lot of sense why it took so long and why there is only cats and dogs. The Sims community having been RIPPING apart everything the sims releases saying they want pets. Perhaps if you wouldn't keep rushing them there might have been more pets in this expansion pack.
You may have forgotten but there is also a new career and also a new world in this expansion pack. Making this expansion pack well worth it. So how about you guys stop complaining and for once just appreciate the effort the sims team puts in? Thanks bye

The barn was premade, and there were only a few options for animal coats etc. I just can'T feel that connected if every cow looks exactly the same yk. I would basicly love dogs and cats, but with horses. I would rather not have them than them being like the farm animals in cottage living, though generaly I like that pack a lot! ♥

I love the Sims, of course, and every pack that has made its debut up to this very day. But I have to say that Cats & Dogs, hands down, takes the cake! It's sooo damn adorable to see the animals in action as they react to their master (your Sim). I really do believe that having this particular pack brings that much more importance to each of your households and to the gameplay itself. I swear, there are times when I'm playing, and maybe a few mins in I abandon interaction with my Sim for just a bit so that I can watch the animation of the dogs and what they may or may not do. It's enjoyable... It's surprising... It's Cats & Dogs and I'm absolutely in love with it! A belated thanks to the Sims creators for simply creating it! 💖
I keep checking the calendar to see if it's November. I can't wait to make videos sims and their cats and dogs. So excited!

When I played the sims 3 pets, I only ever played with cats and dogs anyways. I'm super excited for this, they even added a vet job!! That's amazing! C'mon guys, at least be happy we get some element of pets. AND A COLOR WHEEL IS BACK WOO (Also, horses would be useless as it's a closed world)
The color wheel is back but only can be used on a dog or cat. Color blending is still a problem. It works the same as if your taking a photo of a group of people on a dull day and one them has bubblegum pink on, the photo will show everyone skin tone with a sunburn or bad tan. From cellphone, games and graphic programs will try even out two of the same type of colors. You will get a color wheel just not colors that are used house, plants or items.
You are so right! I didn't really like tonplay with horses bc they needed alot of place to live unlike dogs or cats. I think its great that they focused on cats nad dogs cuz this means they made them even better bc there weren't any distractions(horses).
I really dont understand why most people would want a gigantic ass beast wandering down their street anyways 😂 Not to mention it would look weird without open world, as they'll basically be restricted to one neighborhood.

Wolfgalaxy tbh I think its cool we can't control are pets it's different and it gives a new challenge. In the Sims 3 if your dog was gonna pee on the floor you could just click on them and x it out, but this you have to teach your dog not to do that. In my opinion I like it.

Oh God, guys, there are so many references, at 1:13 a reference to the cartoon "the Fox and the Dog" Yes, I think the game will be not only cats and dogs, and at 1:15 for the painting "Dogs playing poker", you saw that now you can make own and paint the pet , and it all happen as if in another city, most likely after this add-on will be "seasons" and then "University"

I understand why people may be complaining, but for me as I have only ever played sims 4, I am very excited. I am glad they just added cats and dogs because I would rather have quality over quantity. If they had heaps of pets, a) we would have to wait longer and b) they probably wouldn't be as good cause they wouldn't have spent as much time on each pet. And if you would still prefer sims 3, just go play sims 3 and have fun:)
