We taste the Kilchoman Machir Bay together with two of our Collaborative Vattings. Kilchoman Machir Bay is the flagship of the independent distillery. The Collaborative Vattings allow the ratio between bourbon and sherry barrels to be determined individually. For the joint project between the Islay distillery and Whisky.de, certain percentages of bourbon and sherry casks were selected in order to create a balanced taste.

Just found a bottle of Bowmore 10 devils cask release 2. For 86 us dollars. I've been looking for it ever since horst reviewed it 5 years ago

A surprise to me was the Kilchoman Machir Bay. A Big Ardbeg Uigeadail fan the Machir Bay brings a wonderfully lasting rich peat flavor much like Ardbeg. Kilchoman seems to be on the cusp of exploding onto the Islay scene.
