We just filed an ICE complaint. We had mold in our home in Zuckerman. they waited 5 days to finally replace our ceiling that collapsed in our bathroom. We saw mold. They said “if it’s behind the walls, it’s considered contained so you’ll be fine” and when I told them our children were having respiratory problems (ages 7 months to 2 years old) they said “it takes longer exposure for health issues to happen.” We’ve lived here for over a year. The lady at the office for the villages at fort Moore was approached by my husband commanding officer and first sgt. when my husband told him about my children’s health concerns and asked why we have been thrown in the wind, she got on the phone in front of my husband and said “yea I guess his child’s having rashes… or whatever.” 🤬 we have already asked to move and put in the paperwork. Before we did, the same lady kept saying “now that the issue is taken care of, it’s not considered an emergency anymore so y’all should be fine there.” We are disgusted and appalled! We KNEW there was mold, but now that they took away what we saw on the debris, the mold, they’re trying to play it off like we’re making a big deal!
