Lovely video, I found it lovely listening to the Finnish instructions alongside the English , and it allowed more time to take in the demonstration. Speaking in two languages and concentrating on the stiches...that is amazing multi tasking!
This is such a relaxing video! Just wanted to let you know that your videos were recommended in a finnish group where someone who is studying finnish asked for recommendations of videos that have good english/finnish in them so they can learn more! ❤ It was so sweet. Just wanted to let you know that your videos probably help a lot of people who wouldnt have been interested in this type of content originally but watch it now ❤
Thank you for your clear videos! Because of you I was finally able to figure out how to do nålbinding with the Oslo stitch, and I’m excited to try this Mammen stitch next!
There are several ways to join the pieces of thread. You could make a knot (and possibly undo it afterwards and hide the yarn tails into the reverse side), use spit join (if the yarn is 100 % wool, non-superwash, and felts; there are videos on TH-cam), braiding/plaiting (open up the plies/twist in one tail of the yarn, put the other tail above those plies, and braid/plait the plies around the un-opened tail), use Russian Join (there are videos on youtube), use Lazy Join (there is video on TH-cam), and then there are at least a couple of different magic knot type of joining methods. Some people say using felting needles works even on acrylic yarn.
Jos/kun neulakinnastyötä tehdään tasona (ilman peukalolla pidettäviä silmukoita), neula kulkee ensin 1 langan ali, sitten 2 langan yli, joten tästä syysä -> 1+2
Ok im about to give it a go lol i know oslo stitch, thats all. Im all into your video like ...uhuh..oh ok.. n im like..oh wait. I dont speak Finnish lol idk it flowed for me fine. I hear its a hard language to learn. Ok wish me luck

Your videos are always the most helpful for learning. The English and Finnish together is my favorite because you show each step twice. Thank you 🙏

How do you keep track of the beginning of a round? Is there a video on how to “read” your work in case you put it down?
I keep track by setting it down carefully, paying attention to the concentric circles, and picking the outer one(s) to put back on my thumb.
Thanks madem super
Thank you
How do I do when I have to change thread? Thank you!! I love this stitch, I try another stitch but I make a mess! XD

Really thank you! I try with the russian join. Normally I do crocheting or knitting and is different. Is a new world. :)
Miehen logiikalla nimi pitäisi olla 2+1 :D By male logic the name ought to be 2+1

This would be so much easier to understand and follow if it we're done straight through in Finnish then straight through in English.
Can you please post one with English only, then another in Finnish? It's hard to follow with the constant interruption.
People make this wish every now and then. At the moment it is not possible because it would simply take too much of my time. Sorry.
