The rifle LOVES FX 16 grain 5.52 pellets but good luck finding them. For bench next best is the JSB RS, for field next best are the Air Arms diablo 5.51. Great gun

I have a Crown, .22, 700mm barrel, FAC. I have had issues with two magazines. Both magazines only indexed half way through a magazine before sticking. John and Harry from Sportsman Gun Center eventually got me sorted out though and repaired them under warranty. However, one magazine sometimes still jams with three pellets still unfired, l have marked it and l am keeping an eye on it. I still get the occasional failure to feed from both magazines and a constant flyers when the first pellet is fired. I usually just use a single shot feeder because of this. I feel there may be an issue with FX magazines. A friend also had an issue with his Wildcat magazine. It is a pity that so much development was invested into a great shooting guns only to supply it with questionable magazines. Another criticism is, poor instructions supplied by FX, the instructions are useless. I would have liked for the instructions to explain the hammer ajustment wheel better. What are the letters all about? The booklet dosn't even state which guage is the fill guage and which is the reg.. When I purchased my gun l had to go on a crash course on TH-cam to find out about filling, guages etc. this is what an instruction book is for. There is a plastic cover on the fill probe, a mental one would have been nice and I ended up purchasing one from ebay. At this price, the gun should have little toutches of refinement like a metal dust cap, cheek riser on all modles and magazines that are made from stronger plastic, of metal; some Turkish guns at half the price can do this. My FAD put high mounts on my gun in order to çlear the magazine, I find these very high and will have to add a cheek riser, my Crown has a synthetic stock and didn't come with a cheek riser. I found the Crown liked Air Arms, 18 grain pellets and I am able to shoot 10 shot groups near enough through the same hole with these . I have also had success with Crossman premium 14 grain pellets. I have noted that my gun dosn't like Bisley mag. and pellets with a shorter skirt. I have ordered some Air Arms 16 grain, Crossman 19 grain and JSB monsters to try them out. I love my FAC, Crown, it is a very accurate rifle, I purchased some reactive chalk targets and can constantly hit an approx. 7mm target with it. My gole is to push both me and gun further and further to see what can be done. I would love to try a .25, FAC rifle to see what can be done.
To my eyes, the magazine and the clocking lever are much too close to one another. It didn't seem to cause you any problems, even with the gloved hand, but "sods law" would interfere during my use!

I have both the Impact MK2 and the Crown MK2 (both .22 caliber FAC airguns). For general use: target, plinking, pesting and hunting either will do fine. If you're into 100 meter plus shooting or want maximum power I would lean to the Impact. I bought the Impact because I like to tinker and tune and I want to experiment with slugs. Personally, I prefer more traditional rifles so the Crown is my favorite, the balance and ergonomics are more to my liking, if I had to choose one it would be the Crown. I would suggest handling both airguns and chose the one that feels best because you will shoot that one better. IMHO, you can't go wrong with either. Cheers!

Crown mk1/GRS.25fac@80J owner here. I agree, having a 1.5k€ rifle and shooting it at sub 12fpe is a joke...such wasted power and range.

I am thinking of buying fx gun but not able to decide which gun crown or impact.
I have the crown mkii my friend has the oh crown synthetic and it shoots almost as good as my mkii

Is that the FX Crown Continuum? All the others seem to have a longer barrel and the continuum comes with a 380mm barrel a 700mm

mt mk 1 crown 177 does one hole groups at 30 all day somthing not right with your gun
Probably just needs to be broken in. My .22 MK2 took a couple of mags to settle down and 5-shot one-hole groups @ 30 meters is pretty typical.
