I would definitely recommend doing the hike one of the last days of your vacation, especially if you're not used to hiking because you will be very sore the next day. It's a heck of a great workout. I burned nearly 1,000 calories going up and down.
@@ParagContact Guess that depends on how slow or fast you go and if you go up the stairs or take the ramp. When I was done, I had burned close to 1,000 calories and was sore the next day so there you go.
This is why I watch a lot of YT for research for my upcoming trip there in May ✈️ You always find out somewhere new to eat or do. Your brekky from ALO Cafe , when you said Banana Bread I had to Google this cafe, as it turns out , it’s right beside where I will be staying at the Pacific Monarch. I will be definitely be tasting this ALO Cafe for brekky 😋🤙
That's awesome! It's also really close to the beach so I recommend grabbing the bread to go and eating it there. I also thought their acai bowls were extremely delicious. Have a great trip in May my friend!
Definitely worth it. I've hiked it 8 times and the views alone from the top are what makes it so awesome.
@@xyzxyz6406 thanks for your input! 👍
Brilliant work my friend, these shots are simply spectacular! Simply stunning work!
Thank you so much my friend, Hawaii is such a beautiful place to visit and film! I appreciate your kind comment

Thanks for the input, and yeah it is a great workout with some rewarding views!
It's not that intensive/hard. I would say @500 calories.

I hiked it one day midday and once my last day to see the sunrise. Second time I challenged to run up it since no one was there. It was amazing
That sounds like an amazing way to experience it, I would be so tired running up at sunrise though ahaha
what time was your entry at? just wondering about the traffic of people there will be
It was at 9am!
Excellent review! We will be there in 36 days 😂
Thank you! And I hope you have a great trip
I've done it twice and enjoyed it both times

Not too long at all - less than an hour to the top!
Thank you buddy

I miss hawaii its just sooo expensive there back then and even worse now
Yeah I hear that
Did you have to make a reservation or did you just walk up?
We just walked in, but my understanding is that you now have to make a reservation.
@@wanderlustwellmanwhere do you make the reservations? I’m going in April
@@ColleenMcKaye gostateparks.hawaii.gov/diamondhead
You have have to reserve a spot for entry into the park.
