There is a small number of Orthodox Christian Turks in Turkey, I really wish that they grew in number. Turkey used to be more secular, but now more and more Islamists and Islamic cults have been taking over life there. There are dozens even hundreds of sects and cults all growing in number because they have a system that benefits their followers. Economy is bad, you can't get a job unless you know someone, even if you finished university with a score of top 10 in the whole country, you can't get the job and someone's nephew will get it instead. So these cults infiltrate certain industries/government positions, and if you're one of them, you get the job. They also have a lot of under ground shady deals and will make you rich when you're doing jobs for them. That's why corruption is so high right now. A lot of people, whose families weren't like this before, had to adapt so that they can survive. Christianity can really bring a change in this country.

They asked us to choose a country to commit to pray for and I've prayed for Iran almost daily ever since, by GOD's grace. Hoping that this growth will spread to neighboring countries and bring more people to Christ!

There is a small number of Orthodox Christian Turks in Turkey, I really wish that they grew in number. Turkey used to be more secular, but now more and more Islamists and Islamic cults have been taking over life there. There are dozens even hundreds of sects and cults all growing in number because they have a system that benefits their followers. Economy is bad, you can't get a job unless you know someone, even if you finished university with a score of top 10 in the whole country, you can't get the job and someone's nephew will get it instead. So these cults infiltrate certain industries/government positions, and if you're one of them, you get the job. They also have a lot of under ground shady deals and will make you rich when you're doing jobs for them. That's why corruption is so high right now. A lot of people, whose families weren't like this before, had to adapt so that they can survive. Christianity can really bring a change in this country.

It's religion but overall it's culture. Bad people are bad no matter what you do. Yes the politics and beliefs hold the wrongdoers together. But overall you have to progress as a society/culture to reach peace. Many of them haven't mentally/culturally developed to that point. The entire country would have to change not just religion but their ways/customs.

I heard several years ago in church from missionaries that this started after the Tehran showed the "Passion of Christ" across that country because they heard that it was "anti semetic". After that the Iranian people began to dream and have visions of Jesus Christ.

I committed to pray for Iran before the pandemic when I attended an IDOP for the Persecuted Church event in our church. They asked us to choose a country to commit to pray for and I've prayed for Iran almost daily ever since, by GOD's grace. I was already aware that it is the fastest growing church in the world and also about the Biblical prophecy about this nation. Hoping that this growth will spread to neighboring countries and bring more people to Christ!
