    Ha Ha. Your as stiff as me Peter. Getting the kegs pulled up before the haul up the torr. Great watch mate. May head up there at the weekend(weather permitting)via Cairn Gorm. Wont do it if low cloud, waste of time. Was going to come in from Glen Derry but the 20 mile round trip to do Mheadhion put me off a wee bit. Remember the walk out from doing the pair across Glen Derry(Chaorainn and Bhreac). Well captured mate. Cheers

      Troosers keep on sliding down at serious moments Scot LOL! Amazing place up there, The walk from Glen Derry would be an epic day oot! Hope the weather holds out for that one Scot. Thanks for watching mate, peter.

    @7.00 great view ! Loch A'an i want to camp there bloody mobbed though lol. Abit of a moonscape up there wonder if the drought the hills have had the last 2 years changing the ground. Great one this Peter and thanks for giving me another camping target.ATB !

      Cheers Eddie, Aye it's a bit busy with Duke of Edinburgh's doing there stuff and climber's heading up the crag. But it is a great wee place to stay, Even up at Loch Etchachan (highest in Scotland 927mt) would be good. The moonscape stays the same up there year round, Love it up there so much to discover.

    Aaaghh!! Man!! What an unhealthy super-early start again! But sure nothing wrong with your plan B. Indeed working out fine!
    The views over Loch Avon are among the best to be had [which you do show around 7:00 and after 7:50 & 11:50 for instance!]. Though i myself could do without all those too civilized paths/highways in the miles before that. Loved your scramble onto that Barn.
    All said - don't be surprised if i emulate this one expedition of yours within a week from now Peter - i am in the area!

      Thanks Wilco:) Aye a was out my tent at 4am for this one! Can never really get to sleep in the tent for some reason. This route is a great one, The camera dosent give the scale of it all i think. Hope to see you bag it and watch the film you make mate, All the best. peter. PS enjoy your holiday.

      Yeah the size of it - one of the reasons why i started filming instead of making only pics Peter. Saw this place from above in August 1995 and the views forever stayed with me!

    Brilliant Peter that's a classic day out. Stunning views once you got to Loch Avon and no idea how you pronounce Loch Etchachan lol I could see Ben Mheadhoin from Ben Macdui last year and it looked every bit as weird as on your video with the tors. Loved this one bud, The Cairngorms at their finest. I'm in Scotland in a weeks time, got a cottage booked North of Inverness, can't wait to get back up there. Cracking video, plan B turned out not so bad. Take care. Mick.

      Aye as plan B's go i really can't complain Mick, As you say it really is a wee classic day out. I feel the same about the tors, Look strange from a distance away. Hope you have a great time next week Mick, Stay safe and enjoy:))

    Peter I have a confession to make< I have always found this area to be a little on the barren and featureless side, until this video mate, wow you really open up the mountains for people like myself who wouldn't think twice of doing them. This is one of the biggest eye openers I have seen this year, I had no idea of the hidden beauty within and around these giants :) Tim

      Exact same as i was thinking years ago Tim, From a distance they just look like uninteresting big massive lumps. How wrong is that!!! Best thing is ive still got a lot to discover up there :)))

    Spent a horrendous night on the summit of Beinn Mheadhoin wrapped up in a bivvy bag during a thunderstorm , still my favourite area though..done a few cave camps in the boulderfield 👌

      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would not like to get stuck up there in they conditions, Wind would go right through ye on that top. Aye it's a great alright, Have you ever spent the night in the shelter stone?

    • @rossr8776
      @rossr8776 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MUNROSnCORBETTS Yeah mate..two weeks ago actually , another rough night but well sheltered under the rock. Theres a few better bivvy spots there but the Shelterstone is the most enclosed. Love your vids btw..handy when researching new hikes...lol 👌

    What was the climb up the summit tor like? I want to do that one some day, Loch Avon looks so beautiful, could easily be mistaken for the Med on a sunny day!

      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Easy Stuart you will canter it ma man :) Nothing to worry about mate. Aye Loch Avon is stunning was very busy though with all the Duke of Edinburgh'ers all over the place. Easily one of the best walks in that neck of the woods. Take care mate, peter.
